Chapter 45: [45] Transformation!

"Little Thief!!!" he roared, his voice raw anger. The sound echoed through the entire grotto and beyond, a primal scream of loss and fury that made the very walls tremble.

Seraphina sneered, her expression one of amusement. She looked down at the small, impaled creature on her blade with complete indifference, as though it were nothing more than an insect that had accidentally flown into her weapon.

"Pathetic," she hissed, her voice dripping with disdain.

Then, with casual cruelty that spoke of a complete absence of empathy, she deliberately twisted the blade that was still embedded in the little creature's chest. The little thief let out another weak whimper of pain, its tiny paws twitching helplessly.

Knowing exactly what would torture Levi the most, knowing how to inflict the deepest psychological wound, Seraphina made her decision. She raised her free hand, her massive claws extending and beginning to glow with that poisonous purple energy. She moved to attack the beast again, to finish it off completely, to ensure that there would be no hope of recovery or rescue.

"Let's see how you handle watching your precious companion die slowly," she said with sadistic glee coating every word. "I'll make sure to drag it out. Every second of its suffering will be etched into your memory forever."

Levi's face changed and he activated his Crimson Thunder Step, pushing it beyond its normal limits,

[Ding! 9999x multiplier activated!]

[Crimson Thunder Step → Lvl 5 → Lvl 9!]

His speed, which had already been impressive, suddenly increased to a level that defied mortal comprehension. He moved so fast that he seemed to simply blink out of existence in one location and reappear in another, the lightning trail behind him so dense and bright that it left afterimages burned into the retinas of anyone who might have been watching.

"CRACK!"

The sound of his movement was like a thunderclap concentrated into a single point in space. In a microsecond, he closed the distance between himself and Seraphina.

His remaining hand shot out and snatched the little beast from the dagger that was piercing it, pulling the small creature free before Seraphina could even process that he had moved.

Her claw strike, which was about to slash through the little beast slashed at empty air.

But the very edge of her attack caught him as he retreated, her claws raking across his chest and opening four deep furrows that exposed his ribs beneath.

[Ding! 9999x multiplier activated!]

[Regeneration → Lvl 7!]

[Ding! 6836x multiplier activated!]

[Poison Resistance → Lvl 6!]

The system notifications flashed through his mind, but Levi didn't care about them at this moment. All of his focus, all of his consciousness, was centered on the small, dying creature cradled carefully in his remaining hand. The little thief's breathing was shallow and irregular, its tiny chest rising and falling with visible effort. The wound from the blade had pierced clean through its body, and blood was seeping out at an alarming rate for such a small creature.

Without hesitation, Levi immediately began pulling out numerous treasures from his spatial ring.

His fingers fumbled slightly from the urgency, but he managed to extract several precious items that they had collected together during their adventures.

The Moonlit Jade Orchid petals, the crystallized essence from various dimensional fruits, rare herbs whose names he barely remembered but whose healing properties he recalled—all of it came tumbling out.

He stuffed the treasures directly into the little beast's mouth, not bothering with proper preparation or refinement.

When the beast's mouth was full and it was clearly having trouble swallowing, Levi took a different approach. He grabbed several of the most potent healing herbs from his collection and, using his thumb, crushed them directly against the wound in the creature's chest.

For several seconds, nothing seemed to happen.

Then, gradually, the little creature's condition began to stabilize. Its breathing became slightly more regular.

Levi carefully, gently placed the little beast down in a small alcove in the cave wall,

From across the cave, Seraphina watched this entire scene with a expression of mocking expression on her face.

She couldn't believe what she was seeing. This guy in the middle of a life-and-death battle, with his own body crippled and poisoned, this fool was wasting precious time and resources trying to save a beast that was probably going to die anyway.

She suddenly moved, wanting to finish off the little beast while it lay helpless in the hole of the cave wall.

"Risking your life for a beast," she continued, her tone mocking and cruel. "What a touching display of stupidity. Don't worry, after I kill it, I'll make sure your death is slow enough that you can reflect on your failures as a—"

"Die."

The single word cut through her words like a blade that it actually made Seraphina pause mid-step. The temperature in the grotto seemed to drop several degrees, and an oppressive feeling of danger, far stronger than anything she had felt from Levi before, suddenly made the hair on the back of her neck stand up.

At that exact moment, something extraordinary happened within Levi's body. The droplet of liquefied Astra energy that had formed in his chest from the harmonization of the two breathing techniques suddenly exploded.

The condensed energy erupted outward through his entire body, flooding every cell, every meridian, every fiber of his being with an intensity that felt like burning lava being poured directly into his veins.

Thunder erupted from him like a thunder storm compressed into the shape of a man.

"CRACKLE! BOOM! CRACKLE!"

The sound was deafening, a continuous cascade of thunder that made the entire cave shake and small rocks fall from the ceiling.

The streaks of lightning arced and jumped between the walls, the floor, the ceiling, creating a web of destruction that scorched black marks into everything it touched.

The waterfall at the entrance of the cave was instantly vaporized by the msssive amount of heat and electrical charge that surged through the atmosphere.

I CULTIVATE 10,000 TIMES FASTERC46: [47] Another Foe!

Chapter 46: [47] Another Foe!

The forest outside the cave had transformed into a hellscape of shattered trees and scorched earth. Levi emerged from the cave entrance like a crimson god of destruction, his three-meter tall form radiating waves of visible power that distorted the air around him.

Each step he took crack the ground bath his feet as crimson lightning erupted, striking the ground around him.

Seraphina had managed to pull herself from the tree hee body was stuck in.

Her scales were cracked in multiple places, revealing white bones underneath.

One of her wings was twisted at an awkward angle, it was clearly broken.

Dark blood spilled out from numerous wounds across her body as she gasped heavily and intensely.

The confidence that had filled her expression earlier was completely gone, replaced by genuine fear.

She tried to back away, her serpentine lower body coiling and uncoiling as she attempted to create distance, but her movements were slightly slow and sluggish.

The damage from that single punch had been insane, far worse than she had initially realized.

Several of her ribs were broken, and there was even internal damage to her vital organs.

Levi didn't even spare anytime to speak. His eyes was extremely cold and frightening. The little thief's near-death experience had burned away any remaining hesitation in him.

Thunder erupted from underneath his feet as he blurred and then vanished.

"Crackle!"

With a thunder clap Levi suddenly appeared before her.

Seraphina eyes changed as her trembling hand rose up in defense.

Levi's massive clawed hand shot forward with blinding speed, wrapping around her throat in a flash as she lifted her up as though she weighed nothing at all.

"Chk—"

Her face flushed and her eyes buldge out as Levi squeezed hard.

She kicked and thrashed, her tail moving with insane speed as it whiplashed as Levi's body, but it was as though he could see through all her moves. He slapped the tail backwards with his free hand, shattering the bones within as it flopped down helplessly.

Her face flushed in pain as veins buldged out from underneath her body.

Levi brought her face closer as he stared at her choking and dying expression with a cold look.

"You don't deserve an easy death."

However, he didn't know if the Little Thief was doing well, he didn't want to risk it. Therefore he planned on finishing her off quickly.

His other hand drew back, as his sharp claws extended even more.

Thunder crackled between his fingers as he poured enormous amount of Astra energy within his palm.

Suddenly a massive ball of lightning formed and it looked like he was holding a miniature thunderstorm in his palm!

"Crackle!"

He suddenly slapped his palm forward, crushing her head completely.

"CLANG!"

The sound of metal meeting metal rang out through the forest as thunder dispersed through the surroundings!

Levi's killing strike had been blocked. A sword glowing with a pale blue light, had materialized between his claws and Seraphina's body, actually managing to withstand the attack easily!

The force of the attack sent Levi sliding backward several meters, his feet carving deep furrows in the ground as he stood.

"Who!?"

He released his grip on Seraphina, who collapsed to the ground in a gasping heap as he turned around with an angered expression.

A figure stepped out from behind a nearby tree, as he moved forward in a very relaxed manner with a casual expression on their face.

It was a young man who appeared to be around 17 or 18 years old, with sharp, handsome features and short dark hair that was styled immaculately despite the chaos of the dimensional zone.

He wore the same dark academy uniform as the other students.

Levi's eyes furrowed slightly as he recognized who it was. He knew this person. Everyone in the academy knew this person.

This was Marcus Silvercrest, ranked fifth among all first-year students, possessing a B-rank Astra Soul and coming from one of the most prestigious families in the entire Federation.

He was one of the "untouchables," students whose talent and background placed them in a completely different tier from normal recruits.

But why was Marcus defending a dark cultivator. And more importantly, Levi could sense something off about his energy signature.

Marcus looked down at Seraphina with an expression of disgust, as though he had just discovered something particularly unpleasant on the bottom of his shoe. "Pathetic. The Ancient Ground of Dark Matter sends you to handle the academy's geniuses, gives you a Berserk Dark Serum to ensure success, and you're getting beaten by someone who isn't even on our target list? Someone with an F-rank talent? Do you have any idea how embarrassing this is?"

Seraphina's face flushed an even deeper shade of purple.

She gritted her teeth and replied. "You have no idea how strong he is. He broke through in the middle of battle. His bloodline is also one of the top 1000 bloodline. I didn't expect—"

"I don't care about your excuses," Marcus harrumphed coldly. He turned his attention to Levi, and a cruel smile spread across his face. "So you're the mysterious dark horse who somehow climbed to the top of the leaderboard. Levi Borne, the F-rank trash who everyone pitied. I have to admit, you've exceeded every expectation. That transformation of yours is quite impressive. What is it, an A-rank bloodline? Maybe even S-rank?"

Levi didn't respond. His body remained tense, ready to move at any moment. He could feel Marcus was even stranger than Seraphina.

Marcus's smile widened. "Nothing to say uhn? How disappointing. I was hoping for some spirited last words." He raised his sword, and pale blue energy began to swirl around the blade in intricate patterns. "Unlike Seraphina here, I won't make the mistake of underestimating you. I'll end this quickly and cleanly."

The energy signature radiating from Marcus suddenly surged like a tsunami, and Levi's expression turned grim.

Marcus was actually a Rank 4 Super Soldier, which should have been impossible for a first-year student but this guy was insanely powerful.

"You're also a dark cultivator, you sacrificed your future potential for temporary power."

Marcus laughed, a sound completely devoid of warmth. "Future potential? Please. The resources of the Ancient Ground of Dark Matter are infinite. Once we complete our mission here and return to headquarters, they'll fix any damage to my foundation and elevate me even higher. This is just a necessary step on the path to true power."

As he finished saying this, there was no warning as the air shrieked and exploded.

His speed was absolutely ridiculous, far beyond what should have been possible even for a Rank 4 Super Soldier. He crossed the thirty-meter distance between them in less than a blink, his sword already in motion as he sliced through Levi's neck!

Levi's eyes could barely track the movement, but his newly upgraded Thunder Step responded to his will. His reaction speed was pushed to its limit.

Crimson lightning erupted beneath his feet as he activated the technique at Level 9!

"Crackle!"

He phased to the left just as the sword passed through the space where his neck had been.

The displacement of air from the blade's passage was so intense it actually cut several strands of his white mane!

But Marcus was already moving as the first one missed, his hand movement twisted as the sword reversed direction in a backhand slash that came at Levi from an impossible angle.

This time, Levi couldn't dodge completely. He immediately brought his cleaver up!

"Bang!"

The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the air.

Levi's arm muscles buldged as it desperately tried to disperse the force.

In that instant, Levi was blasted backwards. Stomping his feet seven times on the ground before he aaa able to stairs himself.

Marcus, by contrast, looked completely unbothered, as though he had merely swatted at an annoying insect.

"Not bad," Marcus commented, his tone almost conversational. "You actually managed to block that. Most Genetic Soldiers would have lost their weapon from that exchange."

He moved again as he slashed his sword again and again and again.

Levi found himself completely on the defensive. Even with his Thunder Step at Level 9, he could only dodge about half of Marcus's attacks.

The ones he couldn't avoid, he was forced to parry with his cleaver, and each successful parry sent stabbing impacts up his arms that tore apart his arm blood vessels, writing with blood in his pores.

The difference in their combat power was painfully obvious.

The gap in power wasn't something the technique alone could completely bridge.

"Bang! Bang!! Bang!!!"

The sound of metal meeting metal rang out within the entire forest as sparks erupted.

Thunder crackled from within Levi's body as he desperately defended himself.

Sweat began to form on his body, and his breathing grew slightly heavier.

He his astral energy had reduced to a mere 20 percent and it was currently being burned through rapidly at an alarming rate trying as Levi tried to keep up with Marcus's relentless assault.

Marcus suddenly sensed Levi's reaction speed and agility slowed down by a fraction.

He didn't hesitate and instantly raised his sword with both hands.

The playful, expression on his face changed as he erupted with killing intent.

"For you to have survived this long is my mercy, not by your power." He raised the sword above his head.

"But it ends here."

Chapter 47: [48] Realm Cross Kill!

Suddenly, pale blue energy began to gather around his blade, but this was different from before.

The energy compressed and condensed, becoming so dense that it actually started to warp the space around the sword.

Stars, tiny points of brilliant white light, began to appear in the air around Marcus, as though he had summoned a piece of the night sky itself.

"Star Killing Sword!" Marcus shouted, bringing his blade down in a vertical slash.

"WHOOSH!"

A massive crescent of pale blue energy, easily twenty meters wide and filled with those gleaming star-like points of light, erupted from his sword and screamed toward Levi.

The technique was so powerful that it carved a deep furrow in the ground as it traveled, and trees in its path were sliced into numerous tiny pieces.

Levi's eyes widened as he sensed the overwhelming destructive power contained in that attack.

The attack was so fast that before he could react, it was almost an inch away from him!

〔Innate Skill: Crimson Thunder Bolt〕

— Condense a spear of crimson lightning that pierces defenses and detonates with divine thunder.

〔Innate Skill: Divine Thunder Tiger Might〕

— Host Transforms into his crimson Tiger form, increasing strength by 300%.

〔Innate Skill: Thunder God's Wrath〕

— In crimson Tiger form, calls forth world-shattering crimson thunderbolts from the heavens themselves.

"Thunder God' Might!"

"AHHHHH!" Levi's eyes widened and vein erupted from underneath his skin as he roared.

The darkened sky turned even darker as massive amount of thunder streaks crackled through the clouds like a thunderstorm storm.

Instantly, the temperature in the air nearby increased drastically as massive streaks of intertwined with each other, forming a streak of lightning that was more than a human width thick as it struck downwards, directly drilling into Levi's head.

Massive amount of crimson lightning exploded from Levi's body as though he was he was born of thunder.

He energy which had been reduced to more than ten percent suddenly increased to more than thirty percent but it still wasn't enough.

The thunder was so destructive that it turned the surprising trees to ashes.

"Crimson Bolt!"

The thunder around his body suddenly converged as it surrounded his cleaver. However, that was all.

"Inferno Slash!"

Intense flame on one side and destructive thunder on another side,

He poured every ounce of power he could muster into his cleaver, activating his Inferno Slash technique while simultaneously channeling crimson bolt skill, forming a whole new technique entirely.

"Inferno Lightning Slash!" Levi bellowed, bringing his cleaver up to meet Marcus's descending Star Killing Sword.

The two techniques collided in mid-air, and the resulting explosion was cataclysmic.

"BOOOOOOOOOM!"

The shockwave from the impact flattened everything within a hundred-meter radius. Trees that had stood for decades were ripped from the ground and sent tumbling through the air like leaves.

The ground itself cracked and split, creating a spiderweb of fissures that radiated outward from the point of collision. The very air seemed to scream as conflicting energies tore at the fabric of reality.

For several seconds, the two attacks ground against each other, neither able to overcome the other. Flames and lightning battled against condensed star energy, creating a spherical zone of pure destruction where they met.

Then, gradually, the energies began to dissipate, canceling each other out. The brilliant light faded, leaving behind smoking craters and scorched earth.

Levi stood on one knee, breathing heavily. His cleaver was still intact, but barely. Cracks had formed along the blade from channeling such immense power through a weapon that hadn't been designed to handle it. His transformed body was covered in small burns and cuts from the backlash of the technique collision.

Marcus, for his part, looked slightly winded but otherwise unharmed. His sword remained perfect and unblemished. "Impressive," he said, and this time there was genuine respect in his voice. "You actually managed to counter my Star Killing Sword. That's something even most Rank 4 Genetic Soldiers can't do."

He began walking forward, his sword held casually at his side. "But that was your last trick, wasn't it? I can see it in your eyes. You're exhausted, running on fumes. That flame lightning technique of yours, while powerful, burns through your energy reserves too quickly. You can't use it again."

Levi panted heavily but he didn't say anything but stared hatefully forwards.

That last exchange had drained him severely. His liquefied Astra energy and reduced to nothing, leaving with simple Astra energy.

His regeneration was also slowing down, it was only a matter of time right now.

He forced himself to stand, using his cleaver as a support. He grinned crazily as he stared at Marcus, "A genetic soldier couldn't kill a super soldier despite using his full strength. You truly are weak. Hahaha! "

Marcus's face turned cold and his killing intent erupted. "Since you wish to die so desperately, I shall grant you you wish."

Marcus's body seemed to flicker, becoming translucent for just a moment. Then he vanished.

Levi's sense screamed at him, but it was too late. Marcus reappeared directly in front of him, so close that Levi could see his own reflection in the other youth's eyes.

The sword was already in motion, its point aimed directly at Levi's heart as he pushed into him.

Time seemed to slow to a crawl. Levi tried to bring his cleaver up to block, tried to activate his Thunder Step to dodge, but his bidy was too exhausted to move quickly enough.

"Shlk!"

The sound was sickeningly wet as Marcus's blade punched through Levi's chest, piercing completely through his body. The tip of the sword emerged from his back, dripping with blood that steamed slightly in the cool air.

Levi's eyes widened in shock and pain. He looked down at the blade protruding from his chest, at the blood flowing down from the wound.

His cleaver fell from his fingers, clattering against the ground.

His legs gave out, and he collapsed to his knees, the sword still embedded in his chest. Marcus kept his grip on the weapon's hilt, following Levi down to maintain the impalement.

The transformation that had made Levi a three-meter-tall monster began to recede. His white mane turned back to normal hair, his horns retracted into his skull, and his clawed hands became human again.

Within seconds, he had returned to his normal human form, however, he looked really emancipated. He looked like a mummy with no fat at all. His body was extremely thin as though he hadn't eaten for days as he knelt with the sword through his heart.

Marcus stood over him, he didn't even bother to look at Levi but turned his head to look at Seraphina, who had been watching the entire exchange from a safe distance. "Couldn't even handle someone as weak as this, you're really useless aren't you."

Seraphina had managed to pull herself into a sitting position against a tree, her broken body slowly regenerating. She looked at Levi's impaled body and frowned. " Marcus, you should finish him off completely. Don't underestimate—"

"Please," Marcus interrupted with a dismissive wave of his free hand. "He's done. The sword went straight through his heart. There's no coming back from that, not even those with SSS-rank bloodline could liv—"

He never got to finish that sentence.

Because at that exact moment, Levi's head, which had been hanging limply forward, suddenly snapped up.

His eyes, which had been glazed over with pain and shock, suddenly refocused with crystal clarity. And on his lips was a cold smile.

"Got you," Levi whispered.

Before Marcus could even begin to process those words or react to the sudden wrongness of the situation, Levi moved.

Despite the sword impaled through his chest, driving himself further onto the blade until the hilt pressed against his chest and his face was mere inches from Marcus's shocked expression.

His hands shot up and grabbed Marcus's arm, the one holding the sword. His grip was like iron, fingers digging deep into flesh and muscle with such force that Marcus let out an involuntary cry of pain.

"What are you—" Marcus began, trying to pull away, but Levi's hold was unbreakable.

Then Levi's other hand came up and grabbed Marcus's head, one hand on each side of the youth's skull. His palms pressed against Marcus's temples, and Marcus's eyes went wide with shock as he felt danger surge through his entire body.

"Thunder Domain," Levi said quietly, and then his body exploded with lightning.

"CRACKLE! CRACKLE! CRACKLE!"

But this wasn't like his previous lightning attacks. This was concentrated, focused, channeled directly into Marcus's body.

The energy didn't disperse into the air or create flashy visual effects. Every single volt of power, every single spark of destructive force, was being pumped directly into Marcus at point-blank range.

Marcus's body went rigid, his muscles spasming uncontrollably as electricity coursed through every nerve, every cell, every fiber of his being. His mouth opened in a silent scream, his eyes rolling back in his head as the lightning cooked him from the inside out.

"Thunder Domain," Levi said quietly, and then his body exploded with lightning.

"Crackle!" "Crackle!" "Crackle!"

Lightning instantly crackled his was concentrated, focused, channeled directly into Marcus's body through the points of contact.

The smell of burning flesh filled the air, and Marcus's expensive academy uniform began to smolder and char. His carefully styled hair stood on end, then started to burn. His skin, which had been smooth and unblemished, began to crack and blacken like overcooked meat.

Levi gritted his teeth as he held him tightly, ignoring the pain of the sword still piercing his heart and continuing to channel power.

The lightning wasn't just damaging Marcus's body. It was disrupting his nervous system, slowing his reaction speed to nearly zero, preventing him from using any techniques or making any defensive moves in an instant.

Marcus tried to activate his teleportation skill, but his body simply wouldn't respond.

The continuous electrical current had completely overwhelmed his control over his own muscles and energy.

"DIE!!!"

The intensity of the lightning surged dramatically. All the bits of energy he had stored evaporated as he fueled the thunder domain.

Marcus's skull, unable to withstand the pressure and the intensity of the electrical discharge, began to crack. Thin lines appeared in his skin, glowing with internal light as the lightning found weak points in bone structure.

"CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!"

The sound was like ice breaking on a frozen lake, only wetter, more organic.

Then, with a final, sickening crunch, Marcus's head exploded.

Blood, brain matter, and fragments of skull erupted outward from the point between Levi's hands, staining his arms and chest in warm, fluid.

Marcus's headless body stood there for a moment, swaying slightly, his hand still gripping the sword embedded in Levi's chest. Then, slowly, the corpse collapsed backward, the sword sliding free from Levi's body with a wet, sucking sound.

For several seconds, there was absolute silence in the forest. The only sound was the soft drip of blood falling from Levi's hands to the ground below.

Seraphina stared at the scene with eyes so wide they looked like they might fall out of her skull. Her mouth hung open in shock and disbelief.

Marcus Silvercrest, a Rank 4 Super Soldier, someone who should have been effectively invincible in this trial, had just been killed by someone he had supposedly defeated.

"Im...impossible," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. "You were... the sword was through your heart. You should be dead. How can you still..."

But Levi wasn't looking at her yet. He stood there for a moment, swaying slightly, looking down at the massive hole in his chest.

[3000x activated]

[Regeneration Lvl 8]

Then, in that instant, the wound began to close. The process was visible, flesh knitting itself back together with disturbing speed.

His regeneration skill had actually been pushed to level 8 in just a single day.

The hole in his chest, which should have been instantly fatal, was closing from the inside out. Muscle reconnected, blood vessels sealed themselves, and finally skin grew over the surface.

Within the span of fifteen seconds, the only evidence of the wound was a large patch of fresh, pink scar and blood staining his torn clothing.

Only then did Levi turn his attention to Seraphina. His expression was completely blank. There was no anger, just cold, merciless killing intent.

He didn't speak, but he moved.

Seraphina tried to scramble away, tried to flap her wings to fly but her wings were broken and she was too weak to do anything.

There was a slight thunder clap and Levi appeared before her in a blink.

Seraphina opened her mouth, to beg for mercy, or perhaps to make some final threat, but she never got the chance to speak.

Levi's hand, still stained with Marcus's blood, slapped downwards.

"SPLAT!"

The sound of her skull fracturing echoed through the entire forest.

Levi's hand didn't stop at the surface. The force of the blow drove downward, and Seraphina's head was literally crushed, collapsing inward like an eggshell under a hammer.

Her entire head, from the crown down to her throat, was smashed into a pulpy mass of bone fragments, brain tissue, and dark blood.

Her body jerked as her tail thrashing weakly, and then it then fell silent. She was dead.

Levi stood there for a moment, looking at the two corpses. Marcus's headless body lay a few meters away, still occasionally twitching as residual electricity discharged through dead muscles.

"Finally!"

He heaved a sigh of relief as he started at the two corpses.

The adrenaline that had been keeping him functional finally began to fade, and then the pain started to surf though his body, making Levi groan.

He staggered slightly, as he turned and walked towards the cave.

Levi turned and began walking, each step requiring conscious effort and willpower.

He made it back to the cave's entrance,

Levi's eyes immediately found the small hole where he had placed the little thief.

The little thief's chest was still rising and falling, shallow but steady. The wound from Seraphina's blade had closed significantly, helped by the various treasures Levi had fed it. The creature was sleeping, its body focusing all available energy on healing and recovery.

The little thief was alive. "That's good!"

But Levi himself was at his absolute limit. His vision was starting to blur at the edges, and he could feel his consciousness slipping.

His gaze fell on one of the massive beast corpses from the earlier tide, a Rank 7 creature whose body was easily large enough to hide inside.

Using the last reserves of his strength, Levi drew his cleaver and began cutting into the beast's side. He carved out its intestine, creating a makeshift hiding place within the corpse itself.

It was disgusting, and the smell was terrible, but it would hide him from casual observation.

Levi carefully picked up the still-sleeping little thief, cradling the small creature against his chest as gently as possible. Then, with his remaining hand, he pulled himself into the space he had created in the beast's corpse.

Chapter 49: [50] The Dark Cultivators!

Levi was at his absolute limit. His vision was starting to blur at the edges, and he could feel his consciousness slipping through his grip.

At the center of the academy's secret realm, Twelve individuals could be seen walking out of a very large clearing.

One thing about them is that they were cloaked with tiered relic treasures that not only cover their faces but even changes their voice and make them almost invisible to surveillance relics and technologies.

With the leader at the center and the other 11 individuals walking behind him, as though not daring to offend the man in the middle.

Of course these people are the dark cultivators that have invaded the secret realm and forcefully feed the world's core with corrupt energy, making the world core activate blood moon.

At that moment, one of the 12 individuals who was at the back suddenly paused as a two flickering flames appeared before him and Jen was instantly sniffed about as though killed by the wind.

Alrhough the man's face couldn't be seen clearly, his entire demeanor changed drastically.

Without hesitation, he ran to the front, not bothering with any formalities as he went before the leader and knot as he spoke.

"Seventh Elder! Both Seraphina and Marcus's life lamp are gone!"

Before the leader could speak, the dark cultivator at the right side of the Leader immediately spoke.

"That's impossible! With Marcus's strength and talent, not many students could match up to him. Moreover, if he uses the serum, not even a Level 9 Super soldier would be able to kill him. So don't spout nonsense and activate your ability and cross check once more!"

The man who was on his knees glanced at the leader and didn't hesitate when he saw the leader was silent.

He stood up and made numerous hand seals and then spoke.

"Human life is the true eternal flame, Seraphina Touresst, Glow with eternal darkness and reveal your flames!"

In that instant, the a flicker of ghostly blue light appeared and then in the next second flickered as it slowly snuffed out as though killed by the wind.

The entire demeanor of the group changed immediately.

The man shook his head slightly and immediately cast it for Marcus.

Instantly; it was the same result.

"Useless! Absolutely useless!"

"With the amount of resources we've poured into those two, even suppressing their dark energy to infiltrate the academy and kill their geniuses, I didn't expect them to fail just like that."

The dark cultivator the left was angered as he cursed.

The others also frowned. As this would delay their plans slightly.

"Luckily they weren't the only ones we've placed in the academy. Otherwise it would be a more difficult matter."

The leader remained silent throughout their entire conversation and listened to what they were saying.

Suddenly, the leader lifted his hands and instantly shut their mouths.

Then a distorted female voice spoke out.

"Dint underestimate the people of this world. There would always be geniuses above geniuses above other geniuses. Since they are dead, then so be it."

Suddenly, a smirk seem to appear on their face and an excited wave of energy rose through the skies as battle intent radiated from the person's body.

Instablt the cloak on the person's body fluttered without wind as a massive and concentrated amount of dark energy rose from the leader's body like a tide.

"Hahaha! I thought she wouldn't come here."

The person then turned their head back slightly and spoke.

"You guys head back first, let me handle her!"

The other 11 individuals instantly bowed and the void shattered as they leapt through the void, exiting the secret realm in an instant.

***

Before a large cave, the carcass of various monsters, mutated plants and even humans could be seen littered through the ground in several pieces.

The amount of monsters with intact bodies could barely be counted on one hand.

Limbs, severed heads, intestines, brain matter and pools of blood converging to form ponds of blood on the ground.

As one trail the bodies of these beasts, one would be able to see a pattern formed by the bodies of the beasts as it led towards a massive cave.

Within the massive cave. There were also bodies of monsters there.

But there was a particular beast corpse that was dried up, making it look like it had been sucked dry by some sort of vampire.

Suddenly, the body of the corpse moved and a muscular young man holding a small mouse like animal crawled out of the body of the corpse.

Sticky fluid clung to the body of the young man as crawled out.

The young man was actually Levi.

His eyes were extremely bright as he stood up then glanced at body of the beast he had come out from.

Then he remembered that when he entered the body of the Wrathram, the beast was massive now that he had crawled out, it was actually totally dried as though he had sucked the essence of the beast out from it.

Levi chuckled slightly and then stared down at his left hand.

The little thief was still asleep and its breathing was very much strong.

"You recovered quite fast."

Levi smiled as he saw the little thief turned and snuggled tightly against his palm.

Then his face turned serious as he spoke.

"Status!"

Levi's eyes squinted as he processed the information displayed before him.

He had actually broken through to the the peak of Super soldier realm and was just a single step to Genetic Soldier realm during that desperate battle with Seraphina and Marcus.

The liquefaction of his Astra energy, the harmonization of the two breathing techniques, it had all pushed him to the peak as well as the intense battle.

But what truly caught his attention was his stats, especially his physique stat.

They had increased way beyond what a normal level 9 Super soldier stats should look like.

At this moment, he was about twice as strong as any regular peak Level 9 Super soldier and that was without using any techniques.

His brows furrowed and then his eyes landed on the general skills subsection in his status and he immediately understood.

At this moment, his regeneration ability had reached level 8, just one step of reaching the peak of the mortal stage, level 9.

He couldn't help but remember the speed at which he regenerated his severed arm and leg and his breathing increased. Just level 8 and his regeneration speed improved astonishingly.

The system was simply too overpowered. He had thought it would simply improve his cultivation speed and learning speed. He didnt expect for it to also work on his physical body!

Imagine raising his regeneration speed to the peak of mortal stage. Even when the blade has slashed though his chest, he still didn't die, this was what regeneration was.

Those who possess such skill at the Super soldier realm could be couldn't in just one finger and that was counting those with exceptional bloodlines that regenerates their bodies but Levi actually trained his cells to regenerate faster and they system multiplied the action, raising the learned skill my thousands of times!

Not to mention the other skills like poison resistance, pain tolerance, combat instincts and danger sense, they had also reached a considerably high level.

He couldn't help but anticipate the next stage after mortal stage of his regeneration ability.

Would he truly be unkillable?

Although he hadn't heard that there were realms to learned skills but after mortal should be supernatural right. Which meant he might actually be able to regenerate a full head even after his head had been severed.

And when learnt to the highest level, he might actually be able to regenerate a full body from a single drop of blood!

Levi was filled with happiness at this moment and the grin on his face increased even more.

He looked back at the dried-up corpse of the Wrathram, understanding dawning on him. While he had been unconscious, hiding inside the beast's body, his Heavenly Demon Breathing Technique had apparently continued operating on its own, automatically absorbing the residual energy from the massive creature's remains.

Levi flexed his hands experimentally, feeling the power coursing through his muscles and bones. The difference was remarkable. Every movement felt lighter, more controlled, yet somehow heavier with more potential energy hidden within them.

His senses had sharpened considerably as well.

He suddenly shifted his attention to the lottery spins. He received 12 lottery spins despite the amount of beast he had killed.

The system only counted true Cross-realm kills and while he had killed beast with more levels than he received, the system somehow only counted 12 as true cross realm kills, making Levi drown in slight disbelief.

He sighed. "Whatever."

Then then hesitated whether he should use the lottery now or later but then deviated to use it now. Since he was lucky not to die from a Genetic Soldier, his luck should be good now right?

"System, use one lottery spin," he commanded.

[Ding! Better Luck Next Time! Please Try Again!]

There was a brief pause, but Levi shrugged and immediately told the system to continue.

[Ding! Better Luck Next Time! Please Try Again!]

" I don't believe I can be this unlucky. System, spin again!"

Levi gritted his teeth as he commanded.

[Ding! Better Luck Next Time! Please Try Again!]

[Ding! Better Luck Next Time! Please Try Again!]

[Ding! Better Luck Next Time! Please Try Again!]...

Levi's face was pale as this moment.

His eyes watering as though in tears.

Nine times, nine good times and they were all try again later! What kind of bad luck did he encounter?

"Spin again." His voice was a soft as though begging.

[Ding! You have acquired: Void Step Boots (Tier II Relic)]

Instantly, a pair of boots materialized in the air before him and dropped into his waiting hand.

They were crafted from some sort of black leather that seemed to absorb light with intricate silver runes were woven into the material in patterns that hurt to look at directly. The boots felt impossibly light in his grasp, as though they weighed almost nothing despite their obvious quality and durability.

Levi heaved a sigh of relief.

"Finally!"

A movement-type relic was exactly what he needed. His Thunder Step technique was already at maximum level, but having equipment that could further enhance his mobility would make him even more difficult to pin down in combat.

He quickly removed his torn and blood-soaked boots, tossing them aside without a second thought, and pulled on the Void Step Boots. The moment they entered his feet, he felt a connection form between the relic and his body. It was as though the boots had always been meant for him, fitting perfectly and adjusting automatically to the shape of his feet.

Information about the relic flowed directly into his mind.

Chapter 51: [52] Void Step Boots

From the information given to him, the Void Step Boots had two primary functions.

First, they reduced the energy cost of any movement technique by about thirty percent, allowing him to use his Thunder Step more frequently and for longer periods of time, without draining too much of his energy in the process.

Secondly, the boots could actually solidify the space beneath the user's feet briefly.

This could enable the wearer could use this ability to change direction mid-air, allowing for short period of flight and even give more aerial maneuverability.

"It's something like double jump in games. This should be really useful." Levi murmured.

—[Void Step Boots]—

[Grade: Tier II (High)]

[Type: Movement Relic]

[Effects]

➤ Void Efficiency (Passive)

Reduces the energy consumption of all movement-type skills by 30%.

➤ Void Step (Active)

Solidify Space beneath the wearer's feet, allowing them to create temporary footholds in midair for a second.

[Cooldown: 10 seconds]

[Number of Platforms: 4 (scales with Agility stat)

• Special: Can be chained with other mobility skills.

"Hm, the functions are even more amazing than I thought."

Levi was also ready imagining the combat applications of the boots. He could reach places his agility couldn't allow him to and even jump two times as expected.

With these boots combined with his maxed-out Thunder Step, his speed would be absolutely ridiculous.

With them, he would be more unpredictable and even faster. While the boots didn't directly improved his speed, the reduction in energy consumption was already a good deal.

Levi even felt that if he faced Marcus with this boot he should be able to keep up with Marcus's speed. Of course he would have to activate his trump card along with it.

While the boots wasn't earth shattering, it was still a decent item.

Emboldened by this success, he decided to use another spin.

"System, use another lottery spin."

[Ding! Better Luck Next Time! Please Try Again!]

Levi sighed in despair. "What the hell is going on?"

"One more," he decided. "Use the last lottery spin."

There was another pause, slightly longer this time, and Levi felt a strange tingling sensation run down his spine.

[Ding! One of the 12 Divine Grqde items had been drawn.]

[Bloodline Evolution Serum received (God-Tier)]

Levi's breath caught in his throat as a small vial materialized before him, floating as it gently landed in his palm!

It was a transparent vial the size of an adult male index finger.

The liquid inside was bland green without any shimmering stuffs inside. It simply looked like one blended grass and placed inside but the moment Levi looked at it,

The Crimson Thunder God essence within him stirred with an hunger that caught even Levi off guard.

Levi's eyes turned red as veins erupted from the sides of his neck as he struggled to put himself in place.

Without hesitation, he placed the bottle inside his stowage ring and he was finally able to breath again.

Information flooded his mind about what this serum could do, and Levi had to steady himself against the cave wall as he processed the implications.

The Bloodline Evolution Serum was a treasure so rare that its very existence was considered a myth.

It could forcibly push a bloodline to evolve beyond its current limitations, breaking through bottlenecks and unlocking dormant potential and push it to its highest limitation!

For someone with an S-rank bloodline like his Crimson Thunder God heritage, this serum could potentially elevate it to SS-rank or even beyond.

—[Bloodline Evolution Serum]—

[Grade: Tier X (God)]

[Type: Evolution Catalyst]

[Description]

A divine serum made from the heart blood of nine divine beings above the 11 realms.

[Warning]

• The user must be in peak physical and mental condition.

• Must be used in a stable, safe environment.

• Evolution process inflicts extreme pain and mental strain.

Levi breathing was extremely irregular. He couldn't believe he actually possess a god rank item in him.

At this moment, he couldn't help but be paranoid. This was a god grade item for goodness sake. If anyone noticed this, they epitome hesitate to kill him instantly for the serum.

It could be said that in the entire continent, there wasn't a single god grade item in this world.

But Levi, who was simply a Super soldier, one that could be crushed with a single finger by the powerhouses in this realm actually possess an item that could cause Fiendgods to kill each other like ants and even cause another Great War in this world.

Levi knew that he couldn't afford to use the item anywhere near the academy. Who knew if they had some sort of surveillance in the rooms.

Moreover, Levi figured that since he acquired a bloodline once, who is to say he wouldn't acquire a second bloodline?

If he could acquire at least three bloodlines from the system and then use the serum, pushing each blood lines to the highest tier, he would possess three SSS rank bloodlines just like that!

Clearing his throat he stood up and turned his attention to more immediate concerns. He looked down at himself and grimaced. Hos clothes, especially the cloak were completely ruined, torn to shreds and soaked through with a mixture of his own blood, beast blood, and various other fluids he preferred not to identify. The smell was absolutely horrible.

He needed to clean himself before doing anything else.

Fortunately, this cave system had running water from the waterfall or at least, it had before his lightning had vaporized most of it during the fight with Seraphina. But the source was still there, and water should still be flowing.

Levi made his way through the cave toward the entrance, still cradling the sleeping little thief carefully against his chest with one hand.

As he walked, he noticed something that made him pause. The bodies of the beasts from the earlier tide were starting to emit a faint glow, particularly the more powerful ones.

Chapter 52: [53] 1st Place!

The dimensional creatures cores were becoming visible through their flesh as the bodies began to break down in death.

Dimensional beast cores. Each one was a concentrated crystallization of the beast's power and could be sold for substantial amounts of money or absorbed to increase one's strength, agility or physique, depending on which attribute the beast focused more on.

Then could also be used in various refinement processes. Especially the cores from Rank 6 and Rank 7 beasts, they were worth small fortunes.

But first he was feeling slightly irritated with the smell wafting from his body.

He then decided to clean himself first and then comes harvesting.

He had time. The Blood Moon Frenzy was still ongoing based on the crimson moon which meant the trial might not be ending anytime soon.

He stepped out of the cave and found that the waterfall had indeed resumed flowing, though at a reduced rate compared to before. The water was cool and clear, flowing down from some underground source deep within the dimensional zone. Levi carefully set the little thief down in a dry spot on a flat rock.

Then he stripped off his ruined clothing, tossing the tattered remains aside.

He stepped under the waterfall and let the cold water cascade over his body, washing away the blood and pieces of dried flesh or intestine from his skin.

The scar tissue from where Marcus's sword had pierced his heart was still visible on his chest. This made Levi pause for a while as he knew he was supposed to be dead if it weren't for the fact that his regeneration hit level 8.

His left arm and right leg, which had been completely severed during the fight, showed no signs of ever having been damaged. The regeneration had been so complete that there wasn't even residual scar tissue. This was the frightening power of level 8 regeneration blood art.

After several minutes of thorough cleaning, Levi finally felt presentable again. He stepped out from under the waterfall and circulated a small amount of inferno strike energy to evaporate the water clinging to his skin, leaving himself dry.

He wore his still wet pants that looked like rags on him. As for his shirt, they couldn't even be worn even if he tried.

He walked back to where he had left the little thief and picked up the small creature once more. The beast stirred slightly at his touch but didn't wake, simply nuzzling deeper into his palm with a tiny, contented sound that made Levi's expression soften.

"You really saved me back there," he murmured quietly to the sleeping creature. "When you wake up, I'm going to feed you some good treasures."

The little thief's nose twitched slightly, as though even in sleep it could sense what Levi had just said, making Levi laugh slightly.

Levi spent the next hour harvesting monster cores from every beast corpse. His cleaver, despite the cracks that had formed during his battle with Marcus, was still functional enough for this task.

He carved through beast after beast, extracting the glowing crystalline cores and storing them in his spatial ring.

By the time he finished, he had accumulated an impressive hoard. Thirty-seven Rank 3 cores, twenty-two Rank 4 cores, fourteen Rank 5 cores, eight Rank 6 cores, and three Rank 7 cores, excluding the one from the Wrathram he had absorbed energy from.

The total value of this collection was staggering, easily enough to purchase a house in a decent city or fund several years of cultivation resources for a normal student.

But Levi wasn't a normal student, and he had no intention of selling these cores. He wanted to absorb them and move his strength!

Speaking of which, Levi suddenly remembered that the trial was still technically ongoing. He had been so focused on recovery that he had almost forgotten he was supposed to be competing for the top position.

His student badge, which should have been displaying his current ranking and point total, was somewhere in the remains of his shredded shirt.

After a bit of searching through the torn fabric, he found the badge and pressed his thumb against it to activate the display. What he saw made him blink in surprise.

[Current Ranking: 1st Place]

[Name: Levi]

[Points: 43,847]

Forty-three thousand points. The number was so absurdly high that it took him a moment to process. The second-place student, according to the small display showing the top ten rankings, had only accumulated twelve thousand points. He was nearly four times ahead of the next closest competitor.

The reason became clear as he looked at the point values assigned to different actions. Killing a Rank 7 beast during a Blood Moon Frenzy, when their strength was tripled, awarded five thousand points. Killing a corrupted cultivator, especially one who had artificially enhanced their realm, awarded even more. Marcus alone had probably been worth ten thousand points given his Rank 4 Genetic Soldier cultivation and dark cultivator status.

Levi almost felt bad for the other students. Almost. They were all fighting for their lives out there in the Blood Moon Frenzy while he was taking a shower and harvesting monster cores in relative safety. But then again, he had earned this moment of peace through literal blood and suffering and had almost even died in the process.

He sighed and then thought of his next course of action. Right now, he could just settle down and cultivate. With the system and the dimensional beast cores, he should be able to breakthrough Super soldier stage and advance to Genetic Warrior stage.

But then, the thought of the ruins came to him and he squinted his eyes in thought.

The ruins. He had only managed to claim the rewards from the first checkpoint before being interrupted by the Blood Moon Frenzy and the subsequent disaster with Seraphina and the beast tide.

There were still about nineteen more treasures in that ancient ruins and with the Heavenly Demon Breathing Technique at level 5, he should be able to move even higher the mountain stairs and take more treasure.

I CULTIVATE 10,000 TIMES FASTERC53: [54] Back To The Ancient Ruin!

Chapter 53: [54] Back To The Ancient Ruin!

The ruins had been hidden behind that broken gate, isolated from the rest of the zone. There was a good chance that the location hadn't been affected by the Blood Moon Frenzy. Even if it had been affected, Levi was now a peak Super Soldier. It should be a breeze for the current him to kill any creature he encounters.

He looked down at the little thief, still sleeping peacefully in his palm, and made his decision. The rewards were just too valuable for him to leave and come back for later on.

Levi retrieved a spare set of clothing from the spatial ring he had taken from Marcus.

The clothes were a bit large on him and were completely black in color, but they were intact and clean, which was all that mattered.

He dressed quickly, securing the little thief in a makeshift sling against his chest so his hands would remain free.

With his preparations complete and his body fully recovered, thunder crackled around him as Levi activated Thunder Step and blurred out of the cave in a flash of lightning.

The entire forest had been destroyed by the beast tide as trees, branches and corpses scattered around the entire place.

Levi's new Void Step Boots made it easier to move through the uneven ground.

He was like a ghost riding on thunder as he moved through the forest.

When mutated plants lashed out at him with their thorny vines, he simply leaped into the air and used the boots' ability to solidify space, changing direction mid-flight to avoid the attacks entirely.

At that moment, a pack of berserk Rank 5 wolves with glowing berserk eyes and spit dripping down their fangs ambushed him from a tall patch of grass.

Levi didn't even slow down as he activated Inferno Slash for just a moment. A wave of flame erupted from the blade and sliced through the entire pack, slicing them all into two prices each.

The smell of barbecue wafted out through the entire forest but Levi had vanished before he could even smell it.

It took him twenty minutes of running in high-speed to reach the place where the ruins were located.

The broken gate was still there, standing between the two towering cliffs exactly as he remembered.

He immediately walked through the broken gate, and just as before, the world around him shifted and changed.

The desolate rocky landscape vanished, replaced by that endless starry void and the magnificent staircase stretching upward into infinity.

The sight took his breath away even though he had seen it once before. The scale of the construction was simply awe-inspiring and the statues lining both sides were carved with such skill and detail that they looked ready to come to life at any moment.

The gods on the right side radiated an intense light of divine power while the he demons on the left exuded demonic waves of chaotic energy that seemed to want to devour everything in sight.

There were ten checkpoints each and at each checkpoint, treasures could be seen in the outstretched hands of the demon and gods.

Levi eyes brightened with greed as he set his eyes on the treasures.

While he could see the treasures exactly and could only see glowing lights, he was certain that they were good stuffs.

He had changed significantly since his last visit to this place. His cultivation had advanced from level 7 to level 9 and also, his physique had increased by hundreds of points, and most importantly, he had mastered both the Divine Heaven Breathing Technique and the Demon Breathing Technique, allowing him to harmonize them into the complete Heavenly Demon Breathing Technique!

Levi inhaled and didn't directly climb the stairs yet.

He sat at the foot of the stairs and proceeded to circulate the Heavenly Demon Breathing Technique.

Instantly, his cells compressed as the Astra energy within them were squeezed dry as they were sucked to the center of his chest like a vortex.

Instantly, they compressed and then started to condense from gaseous state to liquid state. In the blink of an eye, the a golden liquid had formed as it settled at a spot close to his heart.

Levi activated the Astra Void Breathing Technique and instantly activated 2030x cultivation speed.

Instantly, masses of Astra energy surged into hi as though he was a vacuum.

Levi suddenly thought of something. Instead of actually absorbing the energy and then damaging his meridians in the process and then absorbing them into his cells after which activating Heavenly Demon Technique to turn them into golden energy, he could simply active Astra Voud Energy and while the mass of energy was flowing into him, he could simply chose to not and on it and just activate Heavenly Demon Breathing Technique to turn them into golden elixirs.

As the thought formed Levi immediately got to action.

The moment the mass of energy surged into him, he immediately activated Heavenly Demon Breathing Technique and instantly the surge of astra energy was forcefully compressed and then transformed into two golden elixirs!

"Hm!"

Levi was stunned. 2000x only formed two golden elixirs and not the 20 he had expected.

Levi frowned but couldn't figure out the reason why.

He sighed and then repeated the process until he had twenty golden elixirs floating near his chest.

Levi then began his ascent. The moment his foot touched the first step, that familiar crushing pressure descended upon him, attempting to force him back down.

But this time, it as completely different. The pressure before was as though gravity had increased by 10 times but now, it felt as though it was just 2 times gravity.

He activated his Heavenly Demon Breathing Technique, and the two circulation methods spiraled through his meridians in perfect harmony.

The divine energy from the Heaven Breathing reduced the pressure from the god side of the staircase, while the demonic energy from the Demon Breathing countered the pressure from the demon side. The two opposing forces neutralized each other within his body, creating a state of perfect balance.

Chapter 54: [55] Scarlet Devil Battling Demon Cultivator!

Levi started to climb one leg after the other. His physique had improved drastically by the regeneration and poison resistance blood art and also, his cultivation had improved compared to the last time, making the ascension almost too easy.

One step, second step, third step. By the time he reached step ten and the platform of the first checkpoint, he wasn't even breathing hard.

The treasures he had taken during his previous visit here were gone, of course. He had already taken the pendant and the demon ring. But that left nineteen more checkpoints above him, each one holding new rewards.

He continued upward toward the second checkpoint, and here the pressure began to increase noticeably. By step fifteen, he could feel the strain starting to build in his muscles. By step eighteen, he was having to actively focus on his breathing technique to maintain the balance needed to proceed.

He reached step twenty and the second checkpoint. At this point, his body was already covered in a layer of sweat.

But he wasn't affected much.

The glowing light faded and the treasures were revealed. On the right side, the god statue held a long sword that radiated a pure white light.

While in the right, the demon statue which seemed like an humanoid elephant with short trunk held a long and thick saber.

Levi's eyes were immediately glued to the saber. It's extremely dark in color but its handle was entirely crimson likely blood. Sometimes it looked as though it was dried blood that coated the handle but most times it glistened.

Levi was immediately interested in it. His cleaver had cracked and at this moment, he possessed not a single decent weapon he could use to battle

He first approached the god side and claimed the sword. The moment his hand closed around the hilt, he felt a slight surge of divine energy flow into his arm and he felt as though he internal injuries were about to heal.

This was a Tier II relic called the Blade of Purification, designed to be especially effective against dark dimensional creatures.

He didn't check out the sword much and placed the sword in his spatial ring and then crossed to the demon side.

Levi loves keeping the best things for last.

The blade was called Severing Abyss. It didn't have much fiction except for the fact that it was extremely sharp.

So sharp that when Levi dropped a strand of his hair on the blade's sharp edge, it hadn't even touched the saber when it was sliced into two.

"Hahaha! Good Saber! Very good saber!"

Levi was very satisfied as he weaves the saber. While it wasn't a cleaver, it was extremely close to one.

Two more treasures secured. Eighteen remaining.

Levi continued to move towards the stairs. The third checkpoint required him to push himself significantly harder, and by the time he reached step thirty, he had no choice but to activate Divine Thunder Might although partially, causing faint crimson lightning to crackle across his skin as his body struggled against the mounting pressure.

The third checkpoint held a defensive robe on the divine side and an arrow on the demon side.

He claimed both, though he could feel his energy reserves beginning to deplete from the continuous strain of climbing under such intense pressure while maintaining his breathing technique.

The fourth checkpoint was where things became truly difficult. Around step thirty-five, the pressure increased to a level that he had no choice but to activate divine tiger might to the highest stage, making his body expand as his body grew to two meters as fangs, claws, horns and furs extended from his body.

His muscles strained with every movement, and his bones creaked from every step as the force pressed down on him.

But he made it. Step by step, fighting for every inch of progress, he reached step forty and the fourth checkpoint. His breathing was heavy now, and sweat poured down his face despite the cool temperature of the void space surrounding the staircase.

The treasures at this checkpoint were two different manual.

Levi didn't dare to read them at this moment.

Both were incredibly valuable, and Levi claimed them with trembling hands.

He looked up at the staircase stretching above him, at the remaining sixteen checkpoints that waited in the distance, and without hesitation, he detonated the first Golden Elixer.

"BOOM!"

The condensed energy erupted outward through his entire body, flooding every cell, every meridian, every fiber of his being with an intensity that felt like burning lava being poured directly into his veins.

Levi felt as though he had taken 10 cans of red bull at once. Adrenaline filled his every being as his massive form moved forwards, step by step as though he was jogging.

He had just reached the fifth checkpoint when suddenly, his danger sense tingled with an intensity that made his blood run cold.

Levi's head snapped around, searching for the threat, and his eyes widened in shock at what he saw.

The sky itself literally split open'

A massive crack opened up above the starry skies of the ancient ruins and through that crack, an overwhelming pressure bled into the world.

This wasn't the pressure of the staircase or the oppressive atmosphere of the Blood Moon Frenzy. This was something else entirely, it was the pressure of a rabbit meeting a Saber tooth tiger.

It was indescribable but vivid at the same time.

Through the crack in the sky, two figures shot out the void, and the sheer energy they radiated made Levi's eyes widened and his now morphed body struggle as veins expanded from underneath his white skin.

"W-what the actual fuck!?" Levi cursed as he stared at the skies with shock on his face.

One of the figures wore the familiar dark cloak of the Ancient Ground of Dark Matter, but this person's aura was completely different from Seraphina or Marcus or even the other dark cultivators he had encountered. The energy radiating from this person was vast and deep, like staring into an abyss that could swallow entire worlds.

Behind the person was a massive twenty meters tall dark phantom. The phantom was huge, with a female crown on their head as it held a massive fork in its hand. From the vague face, it was obvious it was an incredibly beautiful female.

The other figure, opposing the dark cultivator, radiated a completely different kind of power.

This person wore elegant crimson crop top and crimson skirt that fluttered dramatically despite the lack of wind.

The entire space changed as the temperature rose dramatically.

The air seemed to have been boiled as a massive creature blazing with intense flames, more than twenty meters tall could be seen behind the figure.

Levi immediately recognized this person. The scarlet devil! It was the Sub-Dean of the academy.

Her beautiful features set in an expression of cold fury as she stared down the dark cultivator. And the power emanating from her was so far beyond anything Levi had ever experienced that it made him dizzy just to sense it peripherally.

They were about a kilometer in the skies but Levi even through the distance, Levi found it incredibly hard to breath from the pressure the two were emanating!

One part was sinisterly cold and chilling while the other was a burning inferno that threatened to burn everything, including space to ash!

These were not people that a mere Super Soldier like himself could battle against right now.

These were walking nuclear weapons! Their battles could crack space and invoke catastrophes!

And they were about to fight right above him!

The two massive figures floated in the fractured sky above the ancient ruin, their mere presence warping reality itself. Levi's body pressed down against the stairs as the pressure they radiated over a kilometer away rippled towards him.

The dark-cloaked figure let out a cold laugh that seemed to echo from multiple directions at once. "Scarlet, you've grown stronger than I expected."

It was actually a female voice but it seemed to echo from all directions as it spoke with a hint of surprise.

"I didn't expect you to care enough about those ants you call student to cut through the void to continue our battle."

Sub-Dean Scarlet's eyes blazed with pure crimson fire as flames erupted along her hair, turning each strand into a flowing river of red-hot energy.

Her entire body was covered in a robe made of flames and then fluttered in midair, despite the still air of the void.

She sneered as she glanced at the Dark priestess. "You're not bad yourself, Leina. Managing to survive my strikes is actually quite impressive for someone born weak."

Leina, the Dark Priestess and third leader of the Ancient Ground of Dark Matter laughed and then the dark phantom behind her suddenly moved.

Its massive form shifted, and the fork in its hand thrust forward. The attack looked almost lazy, a casual motion without urgency or excessive force. But the moment that fork moved, space itself began to crack.

Visible fissures appeared in the air, spreading outward from the phantom's weapon like cracks in glass, and through those cracks Levi could see nothing but absolute void.

Sub-Dean Scarlet flames surged. Her flaming phantom surged forward with speed as it slashed forwards.

Its attack was like a meteor as it slammed into the dark phantom's attack. The collision between the two techniques created an explosion that turned night into day.

"BOOOOOOOM!"

The shockwave from the impact rolled outward in a visible sphere of compressed air and conflicting energies. It swept over the ancient ruins where Levi stood, and despite being over a kilometer away, he felt as though he had been struck by a physical wall. His transformed body was thrown backward, tumbling across the stairs uncontrollably. He crashed through the checkpoint platform he had just reached, smashing into the demon statue hard enough to crack its stone surface.

Pain exploded through his body as several ribs cracked from the impact. His regeneration immediately began working to repair the damage, but the sheer force of that distant shockwave had been enough to injure him despite his enhanced physique. If he had been in his normal form rather than empowered by Divine Thunder Might, that single shockwave alone might have killed him.

Levi forced himself to his feet, coughing up a mouthful of blood. The little thief, protected by the makeshift sling against his chest, stirred slightly from the impact but remained asleep, seemingly shielded by some residual effect of the treasures it had consumed. He needed to get out of here immediately. This was not a battle he could witness, let alone survive if he remained in the vicinity.

But before he could even take a step toward the exit, the sky above erupted with a second exchange. This time, Sub-Dean Scarlet was the aggressor. Her hands moved in a complex series of gestures, and her flaming creature split apart into hundreds of smaller fire constructs. Each one was shaped like a bird made of pure crimson flames, and they filled the sky like a flock of phoenixes descending upon their prey.

The Dark Priestess distorted laugh echoed once more. "The Thousand Flame Phoenix Formation? You've actually mastered that technique? Impressive, but ultimately futile."

The dark phantom raised its free hand, and a wave of absolute darkness spread outward from its palm. The flaming phoenix flew into that darkness and exploded but the darkness simply expanded and actually managed to withstand the attacks.

Sub-Dean Scarlet's expression didn't change, but Levi could sense a shift in her energy. She was getting serious now. " I gave you a chance to retreat. You should have taken it. Astral Manifestation: Eternal Inferno Monarch!"

The phantom behind her suddenly changed. It grew even larger, expanding to nearly forty meters in height, and its form became more defined and solid. What had been a vague shape of fire now resolved into a clearly visible armored figure wreathed in flames so intense they appeared white rather than red. The heat radiating from this transformation was so immense that Levi could feel his skin beginning to burn despite the distance, and he had no choice but to channel his Astra energy into a protective layer around his body.

The Dark Priestess's voice, for the first time, changed as she turned slightly serious. "You've pushed your Astral Soul to the Mid-Stage already? In just a few decades? Your talent is even more monstrous than I thought."

Her gaze swept across the starry void surrounding them.

Suddenly, he gaze fixed up the stone stairs, the ancient statues, the treasures glowing in their hands and the dark energy that was so thick around her flickered. "I didn't expect this place to hide an ancient inheritance ground. How fortunate that our battle led us here."

Then her attention shifted, and those dark eyes behind the cloak focused directly on a specific point lower on the staircase.

Levi felt his blood run cold as her gaze fell upon him, pinning him in place like an insect under a magnifying glass. "Ehn? There's actually a student here? You're really lucky to be able to find this place."

Her voice took on an interested quality that made Levi's danger sense tingled even harder than before.

He felt he would die if he remained here any longer.

"Hmm? Most of these lower treasures are fairly useless, but those top treasures in the hands of the Ancient Demon God and Ancient Divine God at the highest platform should definitely be worth the trip of coming to this wretched place."

I CULTIVATE 10,000 TIMES FASTERC56: [57] Slicing The Shockwaves In Half!

Chapter 56: [57] Slicing The Shockwaves In Half!

Levi's mind raced. This Dark Priestess as well as the sub dean was an Astral Lord, a being so far beyond his current capabilities that the gap might as well have been infinite. If actually fought here, it would only be his funeral and not even the Sun-dean would save him.

Without hesitation, Levi detonated one of his remaining golden elixirs.

"BOOM!"

The concentrated energy exploded through his meridians, flooding every cell with an astonishing amount of energy.

His tiger-human form surged with insane strength, and he immediately turned and exploded with Thunder step!

Sub-Dean Scarlet's eyes literally ignited with flames, burning so brightly that they looked like miniature suns set into her skull. Her voice dropped as she spoke.

"You won't be able to take a single treasure from this place, Leina. I'll make sure of that even if I have to burn this entire inheritance ground to ash."

Leina laughed, a sound like breaking glass mixed with distant screams. "Oh? You're willing to fight me here, now, with that little ant of a student still present? If we truly clash with our full power, that boy will undoubtedly die from the impact of our battle."

She paused deliberately, letting those words sink in before continuing with a soft tone. "How about this, why don't you let me take just the top treasures, and then we can continue our battle in another dimensional where there are no witnesses or collateral damage? That seems like the reasonable solution, doesn't it?"

Sub-Dean Scarlet's gaze flickered toward Levi for a brief moment. She recognized him immediately. The F-rank talent student who had somehow climbed to the top of the examination leaderboard, and had displayed combat power far beyond what his ranking.

Her eyes met his for a second that seemed to extend for more than a minute.

Then without hesitation she turned away.

"BOOM!"

Her aura surged explosively, and she attacked Leina directly without warning or further words.

The massive flaming phantom behind her, the Eternal Inferno Monarch manifestation of her Astral Soul, thrust forward with both burning hands extended.

Pure concentrated fire energy compressed to absurd density, as it firmed a massive spear and then stabbed forwards.

The Dark Priestess's laugh cut off abruptly as she was forced to defend. Her own dark phantom, that sinister crowned female figure with the massive fork, raised its weapon as it also stabbed forwards.

"KA-BOOM!!!"

The air exploded and the void shattered.

Tears of space appeared around the points of impact like paint stained on a white cloth.

The collision between fire and darkness created massive shockwave so destructive it was as though a missile had been dropped in that direction.

The shockwaves spread outwards as it destroyed everything wishing a mile radius to smithereens.

Even as she deflected Scarlet's assault, Leina's voice rang out loudly, projecting across the entire inheritance ground with perfect clarity.

"Kid! If you manage to survive this battle, I will personally extend you an invitation to join my Ancient Ground of Dark Matter! I'll even make you a scion of my house, grant you resources beyond your wildest imagination! All you have to do is live through the next few minutes!"

Levi's face immediately went pale as he figured out the double threat within her voice.

The Dark Priestess was essentially painting a target on his back. Even if he somehow survived the after shock from this battle between Astral Lords, Sub-Dean Scarlet would likely kill him afterward to prevent any possibility of him actually accepting that invitation and betraying the academy's secrets to the enemy.

It was exactly what Levi himself would do if he were in the Sub-Dean's position. An F-rank student who possessed power and had been offered a place among the dark cultivators? That was too much of a security risk to allow to survive. Better to eliminate the potential threat before it could materialize, no matter how talented the student might be.

The battle between the two Astral Lords intensified dramatically as Levi fled down the stairs. Scarlet and Leina stopped holding back, and began unleashing techniques that warped the very fabric of reality around them.

The stone stairs began cracking under the pressure of their clashing domain alone, and the void space itself started to fracture like glass under too much stress.

"KA-BOOOOOOM!!!"

A massive shockwave rolled outward from one of their exchanges, a visible wall of compressed air and conflicting energies that swept over everything in its path.

"BANG!"

Levi was boated backwards by the force as he was sent flying.

He felt the skin on his back begin to fry and blister as the intense heat washed over him. Even his buttocks weren't spared, the flesh cooking like meat on a grill. His magnificent white mane of hair caught fire, burning away to ash.

The pain was beyond description, but Levi gritted his teeth and forced himself to keep running even as his flesh charred. His regeneration was working frantically now, rebuilding destroyed tissue even as it continued to burn, creating a horrific cycle of destruction and healing that pushed his regeneration skill to its absolute limits.

Levi continued his desperate flight down the staircase, as lightning crackled underneath his feet as riding on lightning.. But the battle above him was escalating beyond anything he had witnessed.

An even more powerful blasted through the entire inheritance ground, coalescing into a massive hurricane of fire and ice as it blasted through the surroundings like a wild fire!

"BOOM!"

Levi sensed it coming with his danger sense and he immediately drew Severing Abyss saber and channeled both his Inferno Slash and his thunder bolt into the blade simultaneously.

"Inferno Lightning Strike!" he roared, as he slashed downwards toward the incoming shockwave.

The blazing crimson lightning erupted from his saber as he slashed at the approaching destruction, wanting to cleave it in half!

The flame and lightning slash arc collided with shockwave and actually managed to slice a bit through the shockwave before it collapsed.l sms shattered, the residual force blasted into Levi's chest directly!
