Chapter 131 - Chapter 133: BD-4's Mission

"Amir trusts you a lot. What's your name?" Parks asked.

"Hmm... Din Djarin." Mando had intended to remain silent, but after thinking, he answered. Ever since he told Amir and the others this name, it kept popping up in his mind. It wasn't a secret, so saying it again was no big deal.

"In any case, thank you for your help."

"Just doing a job for money."

Soon, Amir returned, carrying a huge backpack. BD-4 was perched on top. His previous small bag was slung across his front.

"Let's go, let's go. Where are Obi-Wan and 32?"

"They went ahead to scout. Let's go too," Parks said. "What did you bring?"

"You'll know in a bit. Let's go." Amir led the way into the sewer entrance.

This was a pipe made of alloy, over two meters in diameter. It wasn't cramped inside. There were only some small, scattered creatures moving around, but no major obstacles.

Along the way, there were marks Obi-Wan had carved with his lightsaber. When they reached a fork, Amir followed Obi-Wan's direction. At the same time, Amir expanded his Force perception, probing the flow of the Force. He quickly sensed Obi-Wan's position and quickened his pace. With BD-4 and a lightsaber for illumination, the group moved much faster than Obi-Wan.

"Hello there?" Amir called out as he approached.

"Hey, over here! This should be the end," Obi-Wan replied.

In front of them was a dead end sealed with steel.

"Can we determine what's above us?" Amir asked.

"This is still just the outer area. Further in connects to the deep underground, absorbing geothermal energy," Parks said. "So above us, near the center, should be the power supply room. The surrounding area should be empty. No one active. The risk of going up directly isn't high."

"I'll cut a hole," Amir said. He couldn't escape it in the end.

Following the flow of the Force, Amir found a good spot in the sewer. Above them should be a small room. This was just a precaution. In Amir's senses, there were no strong life Forces nearby, meaning no one was on guard above, just a few droid-like individuals.

Without hesitation, he ignited his lightsaber and slowly cut a circle in the ceiling.

Since the abandoned sewer was right up against the base, a light stab pierced the ten-centimeter-thick alloy floor. He slowly cut a circle, and a small opening appeared. Amir lifted BD-4 up. Let the little guy scout first. He also released his spider-droid. Amir controlled the spider-droid through his wristguard, having it climb up and scan the immediate surroundings.

"Bleep-bloop-bloop!" Before long, BD-4 returned from its patrol.

"Let's go. No patrol droids outside." Amir cut a larger circle with his lightsaber, and the group climbed up.

This room was a backup energy storage room, filled with boxes. There was no door; they could see the corridor directly. The room was on the edge. The corridor only had a wall on this side; the other was a railing. Through the railing, they could see a huge power supply unit glowing red.

"If we had just cut straight up, we would have hit that thing. Wouldn't we have been blown up?" Amir asked, looking at it.

"It would definitely explode, and powerfully," Parks said with experience.

Reaching into his backpack, Amir took out a disc-shaped object and slapped it onto a nearby crate. One on each side, two total.

The Mandalorian was the first to see this. "Are you trying to take us all out with you?" he asked.

"The detonator is in my hand. We'll set them off after we leave," Amir whispered.

"You actually packed a bag of explosives?" Obi-Wan heard them.

"Hehe. Since we're here, might as well leave them a little gift." Amir walked out of the room and started throwing them at the central power unit. The discs were highly adhesive, sticking firmly on contact. A faint red light began to blink, receiving the signal from the detonator. This red light was masked by the natural red glow of the unit. If you didn't look closely, you couldn't see them.

"How did you get so many explosives?!! Give me a few!" Parks's eyes lit up. Why didn't I think of this! He took some discs and joined Amir, tossing them onto the unit.

Obi-Wan watched the two busy figures and smiled slyly. "Let me. I know where the structural supports for this building are."

Only 32 and Mando were left standing awkwardly. Even BD-4 went looking for a port to hack. But since both were silent types, they were comfortable not talking and walked toward the stairway together.

Amir finished planting his charges, grabbed BD-4 (who was searching everywhere for a port), and said, "Stop looking. There isn't one on this floor. We have to go up."

At this, the spider-droid sent back the status of the upper floor.

"The entrance to the next floor is guarded by droids. What do we do?" Parks returned after planting his share.

"If the droids are damaged, we'll be discovered. We can't go up directly. BD-4, you sneak up and find a port. Once we have the location, we'll just break through the ceiling," Amir said, looking up.

Parks gave Amir a shocked look. That's an option? A path I had not considered.

BD-4 was all about execution. It ran to the stairs, hopping up step by step. As soon as it reached the exit, it ducked its head. Two burly, black combat droids stood on either side of the hallway in standby mode. If any anomaly passed in front of them, they would instantly activate and become terrifying killing machines.

Sneaking past their heels, BD-4 perfectly used its small size. It tiptoed along, scanning the rooms one by one, but couldn't find a data port.

Just then, a probe droid flew into BD-4's hallway. Startled, BD-4 darted into a nearby room. The door closed. In the pitch-black environment, a beam of light suddenly lit up.

BD-4 used its own light to quietly observe the surroundings. A storage room? The surrounding shelves were packed with rows of containers. Looks like no port in this room. I wonder if that probe droid is gone. I have to get out of here. Amir is waiting!

"No light allowed in the dark storage room!" A cold, mechanical voice suddenly sounded from behind. BD-4 jumped in fright, knocking over and shattering a row of containers.

Σ(°△ °|||)︴ A ghost!!!

"Bleep-bloop-bweep!!?"

"No light allowed in the dark storage room!" The voice repeated.

BD-4 finally got a clear look at what was behind it. It was just a modified medical droid. BD-4 let out a sigh of relief and quickly turned off its spotlight.
