Chapter 3
Meet the Titans
A portal opened up in front of a building shaped like a capital T, and the students as well as the heroes accompanying them stepped out of it. The appearance of the building alone already made the students amazed, as it was considered to be... bizarre-looking.
"This is the Teen Titans' headquarters?" asked Izuku.
"You're telling that young heroes our age get to have their own base of operations?! That's awesome!" exclaimed Eijiro.
The entrance to the building opened, and two people stepped out. One of them is a young man with black hair wearing a black and blue suit, not to mention a black domino mask. The second one is a woman with long red hair and orange skin, and she wears a purple tank top and matching color knee-length pants. Izuku was excited upon seeing them two and was already wondering what their powers are.
"Nightwing, Starfire! Hope we didn't come to you at a bad time," Superman said to those two.
"No, we were having free time and also hoping for something to happen," replied the man called Nightwing. "When we heard that you are bringing us visitors from another universe, we were surprised and even excited!"
"Yeah! It's not everyday something like this happens!" said the girl named Starfire.
Cyborg pointed his hand at the students and said, "These are the ones we were talking about."
"Nice to meet you guys!" Starfire cheerfully greeted them.
"It's... It's nice to know you!" Izuku said to her nervously.
"It is an honor to meet young heroes of this world! We are new here, so we hope that we can be in your care!" Tenya said to them.
"I hope we can get along!" said Ochako.
"I'm sure we can get along with each other! The others should be happy to meet you!" Nightwing assured her.
"Provide them with housing during their stay here," Batman told those two. "In the meantime, we will search for their home dimension and send them home when we find it."
"Don't worry, Bats! They're in good care!" Nightwing told him.
Soon afterwards, the students were taken to the living room of the tower known as Titan Tower, and there, they met four other young heroes around the same age as them.
Both sides were excited to meet each other, and the students from Class 1-A introduced themselves to those young heroes and also gave them a brief explanation of their world.
"Wow! A world where you can earn money through fighting crime? That's awesome! Totally beats doing normal work to earn income!" said a boy with green skin.
"Yeah, being able to make money through what you like to do best does sound fun," agreed a brown-skinned boy wearing blue armor.
"I know, right? You get to be rewarded for doing good things!" said Ochako.
"On the contrary, it tells a lot how the heroes of that world is," said black-haired boy wearing a red, green, and yellow costume and a black domino mask. "The moment you take away their pay, they will stop caring about saving lives. These heroes are not driven by the desire to do good, but simply for money and fame!"
"Um... It is important that the heroes see the lives of people as more important than money, so they will surely still do good regardless..." said Ochako, sounding a bit nervous after hearing what the boy said, and he had a harsh tone as well.
"It doesn't matter. Any hero who works for money cannot be called a true hero!" said the boy harshly.
"What's your problem, man?! That's how our world works! And even if I don't get paid, I'd still kick villains' asses anyway!" Katsuki said to him in an annoyed tone.
"You're being a bit too harsh on them," Nightwing said to the boy. "In a world where powers run rampant, it's no surprise that their entire society would base life around such a concept, so I can understand why the people monetize the concept of being heroes."
"As long as they have the heart to save lives, that is what is most important," said Starfire.
The boy said nothing else in response, but one could still tell from his expression that he didn't approve of how things work in that universe.
Wanting to change the mood, the green boy said, "How about we introduce ourselves? You folks already talked about yourselves, so it's our turn to about ourselves!"
"Please do so!" said Izuku with enthusiasm, happy to finally be able to learn what their powers are.
"I'm Garfield, also known as Beast Boy," said the green boy. "And here's what I can do!" He then changed into a green dog.
"Wow! You can change into a dog?" asked Momo in surprise.
"More than just dogs!" said Beast Boy before changing into a cat, followed by a crow. "I can change into anything in the animal kingdom!"
"Wow! What an incredible transformation Quirk... I mean power!" said Izuku. "Being able to become any animal must very useful for every situation!"
"You can be sure about that!" said Beast Boy before changing back.
"What about your color? Is that related to your powers?" Shouto asked him.
"It is," replied Beast Boy. "I used to be a normal guy with normal skin color. My whole family got struck by a rare disease that killed my parents."
"Your parents died?! I'm sorry to hear that..." said Momo in shock. The other students expressed their condolences as well.
"It's all right... It's sad, but you can't cry forever, can you?" said Beast Boy. "Anyway, I was able to survive long enough until a doctor gave me a special injection that cured me, and it made me look green and also gave me my powers."
"You're saying your powers aren't natural?" Tenya asked him.
"Yeah, I wasn't born with powers," Garfield told him. "Obtaining powers naturally isn't common in this world, unlike yours. Anyway, I went to live at that doctor's house for a while before joining the Teen Titans. Maybe I should take you to visit him and his family some time! They're superheroes as well!"
"That would be great!" said Izuku with enthusiasm at the thought of meeting more heroes.
"I'm Jaime Reyes," the brown-skinned boy said next. "My hero name is Blue Beetle. I got my powers from a mechanical scarab of alien origin attached to my back. It can suit me up and let me use a variety of high-tech weapons."
"A mechanical scarab of alien origin?" said Shouto curiously.
"Yeah, you can see it on my back at all times, since it's fused to me," said Jaime. "I actually got it by accident, but that gave me the opportunity to become a hero and meet these guys! Also, the scarab talks to me, but only I can hear it, so if you see me seemingly talking to myself... You get the idea..."
"I guess that makes it so that you're never alone!" said Ochako.
"I'm Robin," said the black-haired boy. "I don't have powers, and I don't need them."
"You don't have powers like Batman? Wow! Another non-powered hero!" said Izuku with excitement.
"You sound so excited about that..." pointed out Garfield.
"That's because in our world, heroes with no powers do not exist," explained Tenya. "It's not that having powers is a requirement for being a hero, but rather, everyone agrees that if you do not powers, then you are no match for those with powers."
"That's the not the case here," said Nightwing. "We have quite a lot of heroes here without powers. I do not have powers as well, so I fight crime using weapons and fighting skills obtained through intense training. I'm Nightwing, by the way."
"Man! The idea of non-powered heroes still amazes me!" said Eijiro with interest. "Seeing Bakugo lose to Batman really made me think twice about what normal people can do!"
"Don't bring that up!" Katsuki yelled at him in embarrassment.
"You lost to Batman in a fight? Eh, no surprise... He's Batman after all!" said Garfield.
"No surprise you would lose to my father," said Robin. "You probably underestimated him because you think he is easy prey and that you are above him due to having powers. People with powers tend to overestimate themselves and thus result in their defeats."
"Hold on! Batman is your father?!" said Momo in shock. Robin confirmed it again, and the students were surprised.
"No wonder I hate you as much as him already!" said Katsuki in frustration.
"Anyway, I'm Koriand'r, or Starfire," said Starfire. "I'm from the planet Tamaran."
"You're an alien as well?" asked Fumikage.
Starfire nodded. "Yes, I came to Earth in order to flee my enemies, and the heroes here took me in, so I began fighting to protect this planet. I can fly and shoot energy blasts. I can also learn the language of other people by kissing them!"
"Learn language by kissing...?!" said Izuku, his face turning red. Ochako's face also turned red.
"If Martian Manhunter hadn't given you the knowledge of English yet, I would've kissed one of you to learn Japanese," said Starfire. This made some of the students blush.
"I know at least two students in our class who will love this..." said Shouto, thinking about Denki and Minoru.
The only left who hadn't introduce herself is a girl with dark blue hair and pale skin. "I'm... Rachael... You can call me Raven..." she said, sounding shy. "I know magic..."
"Magic? Like stage plays?" asked Momo.
"No, mystical magic," clarified Raven.
"Magic is real in this world?!" asked Izuku in surprise.
"Your world has powers, and you find magic to be surprising?" Garfield asked him.
"Quirks are considered to be scientific in nature," replied Tenya. "There may be Quirks that look like sorcery, but even they are considered to be science."
"You can say the same here. Metahumans are considered to be scientific in nature, despite the fact there are some that completely defy scientific logic," said Nightwing. "Mystical power is very real here as well. Magic users obtain them by channeling into magical energy that can be found in the atmosphere, through the usage of artifacts, or consulting magical deities. While similar, they are not really considered the same thing as metahumans."
"Wow...! This world gets more and more amazing by the minute!" said Izuku with interest. "Aliens, gods, magic, non-powered heroes... It has everything!"
"I'm sure there are several more wonders we still don't know about yet!" said Starfire. "Anyway, Rachael is our newest member. She only joined a few days ago."
After they were done introducing themselves to each other, Nightwing brought the students to their rooms so that they could have somewhere to sleep, obviously. After being shown to his room, Izuku asked him, "If you don't mind... Is there a computer here for me to use? I... want to research more about this world, finding out about its various heroes and villains."
"Sure! I'll get you a spare laptop," replied Nightwing.
"But is there the possibility of coming across sensitive and personal information?" asked Izuku.
"The ones you find on public websites are widely known ones, so you shouldn't come across personal ones," Nightwing told him.
Robin noticed the two talking about this, and after Izuku left, he approached Nightwing and said to him, "I'm reminded... Raven has joined us for a few days already, and we still do not know anything about her. Shouldn't we be trying to find out more about her?"
"We do know that she's an orphan," said Nightwing. "She seems to be very sensitive about her background information, so let's try not to pry too much into her. Give her time. I'm sure she'll eventually share with us her story."
Nightwing then left to get a laptop for Izuku, while Robin continued to think about Raven. Being Batman's son, he shared his father's cautiousness, so he told himself he was going to find out more about Raven himself if she wouldn't tell anyone.
That night, Starfire entered the Titan Tower's main computer room and saw Robin looking up personal information on each of the young heroes. "Damian, you shouldn't be looking up personal information of other people without permission!" she told him. "Even if we are close to each other, we should still respect privacy!"
"Don't you find it strange that there is a not single information on Raven?" Robin, also known as Damian, asked her without turning his head away from the screen. "I looked up information on her in various orphanages and government records, but there is nothing on her at all."
"Does that matter? She's an orphan with no place to go, so we took her in," Starfire told her. "As long as she is no harm to us and is willing to live with us, then that's all there is to things!"
"You should be more cautious. The unknown is dangerous," said Robin as he shut down the computer after having found nothing.
As he left the room, Starfire sighed and then said, "He's just like his father..."
Meanwhile, Izuku was in his room, browsing the internet with sparkling eyes of excitement as he looked up various heroes and villains of this world.
Back in the world of Quirks, the staff members of U.A. were currently having a meeting regarding what happened. They watched the security footage of the students battle with the American villains and how they disappeared through the portals that disappeared soon afterwards.
"Do we still not have any idea on who those villains are?" asked Ectoplasm.
"I've asked my contacts in America, and they have never seen those villains before," replied All Might.
"You know that there is that guy in the League of Villains who is capable of creating portals," said Midnight. "Do you suppose that it's him?"
"I've seen his portals before, and they are purple and look almost like smoke," replied Thirteen, who had already recovered from her injuries. "These portals are blue and look more like they're made of energy of some kind. I doubt it is him..."
"Wherever those students are, I hope we find them fast..." said Hound Dog. "I feel ashamed of myself that despite right under my eyes, I was not able to do anything for them..."
"The police are currently looking into this," said Nedzu. "Let us hope that they come up with something soon."
"Speaking of which... Do their parents know about this?" asked Cementoss.
"Only Endeavor knows about this, and we would like to keep it a secret for now until we have a better lead on things," replied Nedzu.
"You know that if take too long to reveal this, the parents are going to be upset that we kept it from them for so long," Aizawa told him.
"It's not like telling them about it now will be any better..." said Present Mic. "They're obviously going to spread what happened to the public, and the next thing you know, people are going to come knocking on the school door and get our reputation ruined... They're never going to let us hear the end of it... The way I see it, it's a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation we're in..."
"I am aware, but for now, let us hope we find something as soon as possible so that we do not have any bad news to tell the parents," said Nedzu.
Located in the forest up on the hills was a building belonging to the organization known as the Meta Liberation Army. Originally simply an organization that is revolting against the restriction of Quirks, it has now become an full fledged villainous organization after it merged with the League of Villains. When word of this broke out among the public, they had to go into hiding and find a new place they could call their headquarters, and an abandoned military base up in the hills was exactly the thing they needed.
"What is it? This better be something interesting that you had to drag me here!" said Tomura Shigaraki as he entered a room filled with computers. Following him was League of Villain member Kurogiri.
"Not sure if you'll really be interested, but I think you should take a look regardless," said Meta Liberation Army member Tomoyasu Chikazoku, also known as Skeptic. He showed them the footage of the day the students from Class 1-A disappeared into portals while fighting villains.
"What is this?" asked Kurogiri. He took interest when he saw those portals.
"I was randomly hacking into security footage out in the city for anything interesting when I came across these," said Skeptic. Looking at Kurogiri, he said, "At first, I thought you had something to do with it, but then realized the color of the portals don't match. Still, I thought I'd show you this to see if you know anything."
"I recognize those kids in the footage. They are U.A. students!" said Shigaraki, sounding rather angry.
"Indeed they are! I did a face scan and managed to confirm it," said Skeptic. "Couldn't find out who the villains they're fighting are, however. They appear to be Westerners."
"I am not familiar with those portals. Perhaps someone else out there has a Quirk similar to mines," said Kurogiri.
"It would be interesting if we can find out more about this. Who knows where those kids are now," said Skeptic.
"What's the point of this? It's not like it can help us in any way," said a relatively annoyed Shigaraki. "Though if something does happen to those students, then serve them right for messing with us!"
"Like I said, I'm not sure whether or not you will be interested in this, and it's really only the portals that I called you two," said Skeptic. "If you want to, I can try to do a bit more digging and see if there is any more info on this and figure out how it can help us."
"Do whatever you want," said Shigaraki as he turned to leave.
The next day, the students were at the living room by themselves, with Izuku telling them some of his discoveries. "The Justice League has another headquarters located in space, called the Watchtower!"
"Wow! In space?! That's incredible!" said Eijiro in awe.
"They weren't kidding when they said they deal with situations all over the place...!" said Momo in disbelief.
"I would love to go up there! We may become the first students at U.A. to go to space!" said Ochako.
"I found out that the Justice League was founded by eight heroes, and we already met seven of them yesterday," continued Izuku. "The eighth one is called Aquaman, and he is the king of Atlantis. And by Atlantis, I mean the mythical underwater city!"
"Really? Atlantis is real in this world?!" asked Momo in shock.
"Indeed! I saw pictures of it! It's a full-blown and advanced-looking city located under the sea, and the inhabitants can breathe underwater despite looking human!" said Izuku.
"Wow! I would love to be able to visit that place someday as well!" said Ochako with enthusiasm.
"I also found out some other heroes who do not have superpowers," said Izuku. "There's one called Green Arrow who fights using bow and arrows but is also a very skilled in fighting unarmed!"
"Awesome! The people of this world are so manly that they are willing to fight villains without powers! They're so awesome!" said Eijiro in awe.
"Tsk! They can only get so far! Wait till they get a load of the villains in our world! They're never going to stand a chance against them!" said Katsuki in annoyance.
"It is high time that you accept your loss and no longer be in denial," Fumikage suggested him, to which the latter told him to mind his own business.
Suddenly, a siren went off, much to the surprise of the students, who stood up and looked around, wondering what was going on. Nightwing came passing by the room and was heading for another room, so Momo asked him, "What happened?"
"A crime is happening within the vicinity of the Titans Tower," replied Nightwing. "I'm going to check what's happening."
Wanting to know what was happening as well, the students followed him into the tower's main computer room, where the other Titans were also gathered at the moment. Robin was already at the computer, whose screen was showing that a group of four people in black and white clothing with white face paints robbing a science lab. "It's the Royal Flush Gang," replied Robin.
"I've read about them yesterday!" said Izuku. "It's a team of four villains with superpowers, and they are notable for giving themselves a playing card theme."
"That's a strange theme..." commented Shouto.
"Let's move fast before they get away," said Nightwing.
"Let me tag along! I'm going to give those villains a good blasting!" said Katsuki.
"It is too dangerous! We are still training to fight villains!" Tenya told him.
"Ever heard of training on the job? I think this is the perfect opportunity!" said Eijiro. "Plus, I'm sure these heroes will be helping us out, so it's not like we're all alone in this."
"I do admit that I am curious to see these heroes in action, and I am not opposed to facing villains myself as well," said Shouto.
"Are you seriously thinking that?! We just got here yesterday, and we fared poorly against the villains that brought us here!" Tenya reminded them.
"To be fair, the folks you've faced are pretty tough ones, while the Royal Flush Gang are considered small fries," Jaime told them.
"It's all right, Tenya," Nightwing told him. "We will be keeping an eye on your classmates and make sure that no harm comes to them."
Soon, it was decided that Nightwing, Starfire, Blue Beetle, and Robin would go face those villains, and among the students, Izuku, Eijiro, Shouto, and Katsuki were tagging along as well. The rest were going to stay at the tower.
At a specific science lab, the Royal Flush Gang, a group of four consisting of Queen, King, Jack, and Ten were making their way towards a metal door at the back end of a room, after having taken out of the guards at the place.
"Behind that door lies what we are looking for!" said Queen with delight. "Would you please do the honors, my king?"
"Anything for you, my queen!" a large man said to her. He went up to the wall next to the metal door and punched through the former before going inside, and then from there, he kicked down the door with little effort.
"Thank you very much, my king!" Queen said to him. The other three members went into the room to join King, and before them was a glass case with a small metal cylinder inside. "Finally! The Crypto-Key! With this, we will be able to hack into any computer we want from anywhere! Not only are all information unsafe from us, we can even hack into any bank account and get money!"
As they got close to the glass casing, a laser fence suddenly appeared before them. Jack looked around and noticed an electric box on the wall behind the fence, and then he shot laser beams out of his eyes at said box, destroying it and causing the laser fence to disappear.
"Good job, Jack!" Queen said to him.
"Good job on not having escaped yet! Glad to know that you waited for us to arrive!" said a voice. They turned around to see that the heroes have arrived.
"It's the Teen Titans!" said Ten.
"You're not going anywhere with the Crypto-Key over there," Starfire told them. "Surrender, and no harm will come to you!"
"Or fight back so that I can give you a good blasting!" said Katsuki loudly, stepping forward.
"Dude! Don't provoke them!" Blue Beetle told him.
"Well, a bunch of children came to stop us! It will take more than just numbers to stop us!" Queen said to them. "I can already tell what you plan to do thanks to my mind reading!"
"She can read minds?!" thought Izuku. "The internet did say they have powers, but they didn't specify what! Let's see... In order to deal with a mind reader..."
"Let's see if you can still read minds after I blow up your brain!" said Katsuki as he ran forward and released explosions from his hands. King got in front of the incoming explosion and used his body to block it. Other than having a little charred skin, he was unharmed.
"Dynamight! Don't rush!" Nightwing told him.
King then ran at Katsuki, punching him out of the room before following him. Next, Jack fired laser beams from his eyes at the heroes, and Blue Beetle formed his hands into shields to block them. Ten rushed at Robin at fast speed and threw fast punches at him, but Robin was able to react fast enough and block them with a staff he was carrying.
Outside the room, King threw punches at Katsuki, but the latter kept on jumping out of the way. "An oversized doofus like you will never be able to hit me! Your punches are weak!" taunted Katsuki. He jumped back when King slammed down his hands like a hammer and struck the floor so hard that he left behind a crater. Katsuki fired explosions at him upon landing, and though it looks like the hit was successful, King charged out of the smoke and rammed into him hard, knocking him back.
The villain smiled evilly, thinking he got a good hit at the young hero. He was then blasted in the back by Starfire's green energy blast. He angrily ran at her, but she flew into the air and continued blasting him nonstop with energy blasts, slowly chipping away his energy.
"Take this!" Katsuki shouted as he released explosions behind himself to propel at King at a fast speed, and then he slammed his hands into King's body, creating explosions again to blast the villain back. Combined with the blasting he got from Starfire, this was enough to knock him out. "Yeah! How'd ya like that?!"
"Good work, Dynamight!" Starfire said to him.
"Never understand estimate me!" said Katsuki proudly.
Ten attacked Robin with fast punches that the latter had a hard time trying to keep up with. After kicking away Robin, Eijiro charged at Ten from behind to punch her, but she dodged it and taunted his slowness before attacking him. He hardened himself but Ten didn't stop hitting him until after scoring multiple hits, and then she cried in pain that her fists were injured. Eijiro used this as a chance to punch her in the abdomen hard, and then Robin attacked Ten with his staff.
After whacking her away, Robin threw non-lethal exploding batarangs at her, blasting her on her back. She groaned as she tried to get back up, only for Eijiro, while still hardened, to fall onto her body with an elbow slam that knocked her out.
"And she's down!" shouted Eijiro, raising his arms into the air.
Jack was still firing beams at Blue Beetle, who kept on holding his shield to block it. An insect-like leg grew out of his back and fired a beam at Jack, who saw shot in the chest and fell back. He got back up and was going to fire again, but Shouto stopped him by blasting cold air at him, sending him into the air. The student continued to use cold air on him, gradually building up ice around him until he was frozen to the wall.
Jack growled in anger as he fired eye beams at Shouto, but the latter dodged it and then charged at him to punch him in the face with a fist that was coated in a thin layer of ice to make the punch hit harder. Jack passed out from a punch to the nose.
"Wow! That was neat!" Blue Beetle said to Shouto.
"That was too easy," commented the latter.
"You won't be able to hit me, for I can read your next moves!" Queen said to Nightwing with confidence.
"If you do not have the skills to back that up, then mind reading is pointless!" Nightwing said to him as he readied his electrified Eskrima sticks.
"Just so you know, I am not defenseless myself!" said Queen before taking out a stack a card that she threw at Nightwing, who knocked them away with his sticks. He then charged at her to attack, but being able to read his moves, Queen was able to swiftly dodge each of the hit and occasionally threw cards at him. Nightwing swiftly dodged them while closing in on her to attack her.
Queen backed away from him and readied a new stack of cards when suddenly Izuku lunged her from the side at a fast speed, hitting her hard that she crashed into a wall and passed out. "You probably can only focus on reading one person at a time, because you didn't realize that I was looking for an opportunity to strike you!" Izuku said to her.
"Good job, Deku!" Nightwing said to him.
"I'm glad to be of help! I managed to defeat a villain!" said Izuku happily.
With that, the Royal Flush Gang was defeated, the heroes notified the police to come deal with the aftermath.
The rest of the Teen Titans and students were still waiting for their friends to return in their tower.
"I hope they're all right," said a worried Ochako.
"It was reckless of our classmates to want to fight those villains... We should train a bit more before doing something like this!" said Tenya.
"Don't worry; I'm sure they're all right," Garfield assured him. "Nightwing and the others are pros at this, so you can be sure your classmates are all fine!"
They were then alerted by a sound. The students thought it was another siren, but Garfield said this one was different in that it simply meant there was somebody at the entrance of the tower.
He went to a screen on the wall to check who is outside. When the screen turned on, he saw what appears to be a family of a father, a mother, two sons, a daughter, and a dog standing outside the entrance.
The father has brown neatly-trimmed hair and wears a white business suit and black trousers.
The mother has long, wavy orange hair and wears a pink dress.
The older son has short brown hair and wears a blue jacket over a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans.
The daughter has long orange hair and wears a red shirt and a yellow skirt.
The younger son has short brown hair and wears green suspenders over a white shirt, and there are freckles on his face.
The dog is a white and wears a red color.
"May I help you?" he asked them.
"Hello! We are the Nuclear Family!" the apparent father replied. "My name is Dad! This here is Mom, Biff, Sis, Brat, and Dog!" He said this while pointing to the woman, the older boy, the teenage girl, the younger boy, and the dog respectively.
"Yeah, hi... Nice to know you," said Garfield. "May I ask why you are here?"
"Is Rachael Roth here?" asked Dad. "We have been sent here to bring her to her father!"
Chapter 4
Heroes vs. Family
Garfield was rather surprised to hear that this Nuclear Family wanted to bring Raven to her father. Raven had previously claimed that her parents were dead, but could it be possible that she didn't know the truth? Wanting to make sure first, he told the Nuclear Family to wait. When he turned around, he saw Raven standing behind him with a look of horror on her face.
"Rachael? What's the matter?" Garfield asked her.
Clasping her hands together, Raven begged him desperately, "No! Please! Don't tell them I'm here! I don't want to see my father! Anything but him! Please! Don't give me back to him!"
Those in the room were surprised at how terrified she was about meeting her father. Even Garfield had never seen her this terrified before. Confused but respecting her decision, Garfield went back to the screen and said, "Sorry, she moved out some days ago. You won't be finding her here anymore."
"Oh, that's too bad... How are we going to tell the person who sent us?" said Dad.
"What if she is simply shy and didn't want to see us?" said Biff.
"You may be onto something there, Biff!" Mom said to him.
"Will you let us in there and have a look?" Dad said to Garfield. "We need to have something solid we can tell our boss, so please let us in and see if we can find anything first."
"I'm telling you that she doesn't live here anymore," Garfield told him. "Please leave, because you are trespassing private property if you don't!"
"All right, we'll just invite ourselves in!" said Dad as he did something unexpected. He punched the entrance door so hard that it shattered, thus allowing the whole family to go in.
Needless to say, this shocked Garfield, making him realize that they aren't normal people.
"What happened?" asked Tenya as Garfield scrambled to activate security measures to keep the family from coming in any further.
Garfield turned to Raven and asked her, "Do you know who those people are?"
"I don't know! Whoever they are, they want to take me to their father! I don't want to see my father!" she replied, almost on the verge of tears.
"What's wrong with your father? Why don't you want to see him?" Momo asked her.
"Is he abusive towards you?" asked Ochako.
"If you don't explain to us anything, then we will not know what is going on!" Fumikage told her.
"Rachael, what exactly is going on with your family?" Garfield asked her. "Tell us, and we can help you!"
"My... My father is a demon... He disguised himself as a human to marry my mother, and when I was older, he revealed his true form and killed her..." explained Raven. "He wanted to rule over this world and make use of my power to strengthen him! I used my powers to seal him away inside a crystal before hiding it somewhere nobody is supposed to find!"
"When you said demon, you mean a literal monster of darkness and from hell?" Fumikage asked her.
"Yes, a powerful demon lord from the realm of Azareth," replied Raven.
The students were shocked to hear this. They did not expect a literal demon to exist in this world, but then, if Greek deities and magic exist, then the existence of demons shouldn't be that bizarre.
"And those people are here to take you to see him?" Tenya asked her.
"Yes, so I assume they are from a cult that worships him," said Raven. "Only I have the power to undo the seal on Trigon and set him free again."
"Then we won't let her get you no matter what! We'll protect you no matter the cost!" Garfield told her.
They then rushed to the computer room to see what the Nuclear Family was doing, and they saw that they were taking the stairs up, as the elevator had been shut down after the security measures were activated. Rather than looking tired, the family was singing happily as they walked up step by step.
Garfield pressed a button that caused the stairs to turn into a slide, making them slide down. "Let's see you come up now!" he said with a smirk.
However, the family simply laughed and commented on how fun the slide was, and then they pulled off an unexpected move of floating into the air to continue upwards. "They can fly?!" asked Ochako in shock.
"Clearly they have powers!" said Tenya.
"Fine! If they want a fight, let's give them one!" said Garfield.
"Don't worry; we won't let them take you away!" Ochako told Raven, placing her hand on her shoulder to comfort her.
After putting Rachael in her room, the other heroes took their positions in front of the door that the Nuclear Family would come in from. They waited for about a minute or two, and then the door opened, the entire family coming in. "Don't mind if we drop by!" said Dad while waving at them. "We just want to take Rachael to her father. I'm sure he misses her so much!"
"We know about her father, and we're not taking her anywhere!" said Beast Boy as he turned into a wolf and growled at them.
"Rachael is our friend, and if he does not want to see her demon father, then we will not let her, lest her be hurt by him again!" Tenya told them.
"Don't worry; her father is a very nice person! He just wants to give her a hug and a kiss!" Mom told them.
"As if we're going to believe you!" Momo said to them with a staff in her hands.
"Perhaps we should get to know each other better," said Dad as he stepped forward. "Why don't we...?" Before he could finish speaking, Beast Boy lunged at him in his wolf form. However, Dad was able to grab hold of Beast Boy and maintain his footing. "Wow! You really are enthusiastic to give me a hug, huh?" His hands began heating up, burning Beast Boy, who cried in pain, and then Dad flung him away.
Fumikage unleashed Dark Shadow at Biff, who said in excitement, "Wow! Is that your pet? I want one as well!" He then punched Dark Shadow hard when it came close, knocking it away and sending it back into Fumikage's body. Biff pointed his hands at Fumikage and released a blast of hot wind, blowing him back.
Momo took out a bazooka from underneath her shirt and took aim at Sis before firing a net at her. The net caught Sis, but she tore it apart with her bare hands with no effort before releasing a blast of hot wind from her hand at Momo, just like Biff, blowing her away.
Ochako lighted a sofa and hurled it at Mom, deactivating her Quirk when it was close to touching Mom so that the latter got hit by it hard. However, Mom got back up as if she was unharmed and even lifted the sofa over herself with no effort. "Nice sofa! Where'd you buy it?" she then threw the sofa at Ochako, who jumped out of its way.
Tenya rushed at Brat and pinned him to the wall by his shoulders. "Kid! You're still young, so you shouldn't engage in acts of villainy!" Tenya lectured him. "Do not be..." But Brat interrupted him by headbutting him in the body before grabbing and flinging him across the room hard. Tenya fell to the floor and said in pain, "He's... strong...!" Dog then pounced at him and bit his arm hard. "YEOW!"
Meanwhile, Raven was in her room, and she was worried and also scared as she heard the fight going on outside. "I... I can't just sit here!" she told herself. "They're fighting for my sake, so... I should go out there and help them!"
Back outside, the young heroes were having a tough time dealing with the Nuclear Family, something they did not expect.
"They're tougher than they look!" said Tenya.
"Yeah... And their constantly cheerful-looking faces gives me the creeps..." said Beast Boy.
"I think we've played long enough, so we should end things now," said Dad.
"Awwwww... I wanna keep on playing!" complained Brat, jumping up and down.
"Then we can let you have play one more game! You know what game to play!" Mom told him.
As if understanding what she said, Brat shouted with joy, and then his entire body began glowing. Seeing this, the heroes were surprised. "What's happening to him?!" asked Momo.
And then a shockwave was released from Brat's body, sending everything in the room except for his family flying. The building shook a bit, and there was the sound of explosion as well. Raven obviously heard what happened from where she is, and she was shocked.
When the shockwave died down, the room was complete mess, with pieces of furniture lying all over the place. Even the windows were shattered. The heroes were all lying on the ground with burnt marks all over their bodies and were also unconscious.
The family members, on the other hand, looked completely unharmed. "Wow! That was one great last game!" Mom said to Brat while clapping his hands.
"Way to go, Brat! You sure know how to have the best kind of fun!" Sis said to her younger brother. Dog barked and wagged his tail happily.
"All right, let's go look for Raven!" said Dad.
Raven could hear footsteps approaching her room, which made her nervous. She didn't know what happened to her friends, but she could at least that they must've lost the fight. She moved to the back of her room when the door opened, and Dad came in. "There you are, Raven!" he cheerfully said to her. "Your father..."
"I'M NOT GOING BACK TO HIM!" she shouted loudly as her eyes turned red while dark energy came out from her. She then fired a blast of dark energy that struck Dad hard, blasting him backwards onto the floor.
Raven approached the doorway and looked at the fallen Dad, and to her surprise, there was a hole on his body that displayed wires and mechanical parts inside. Before she could react any further, Mom suddenly appeared next to her and stabbed her in the neck with a syringe. Raven cried in pain and tried to fight back, but a feeling a numbness and also dizziness came over her, preventing her from using her powers properly. Despite trying to resist the effects of what was obviously a sleeping drug injected into her, Raven ultimately passed out.
"Sleep tight! I wish a good rest!" said Mom as she picked up Raven in a manner similar to a mother carrying a young child.
The children were looking at the fallen and short-circuiting Dad, and Biff said, "Dad is hurt. We should take him to the doctor fast!" Despite saying that, he was still smiling. In fact, they were all still smiling, even the motionless Dad.
"Yeah! The doctor will patch Dad up real fast!" said Sis.
"Right, so let us take him back to the car! Let's go back to the person who sent us and tell him we found Raven!" said Mom. "Her father will be happy to finally reunite with her!"
"Mom, I just remember something! The person who sent us also told us to bring along a friend of hers," Sis reminded her.
"You're right! I almost forgot!" said Mom. "All right, go and pick whoever you want!"
Several minutes later, the hero who went to fight the Royal Flush Gang finally returned to the Titans Tower, and needless to say, they were shocked at the mess inside and seeing their friends passed out all over the place. "What happened here?!" asked Eijiro in shock.
Nightwing noticed Beast Boy slowly getting back up and thus went to him. "Garfield! Are you all right?"
"I need headache pills..." said the latter.
"What happened?" Nightwing asked him.
Some minutes later, everyone was back on his or her feet. Despite their injuries, they were in no serious condition and therefore only needed light medication. The heroes who just returned learned everything from the ones who fought the Nuclear Family, and they were shocked to learn that Raven and Ochako had both been abducted. Izuku was the most shocked to learn that the latter was abducted as well.
"They clearly came for Raven, but why did they take Ochako as well?" wondered Nightwing.
"I don't care! Those people have done it! We're going to rescue our classmate and beat the crap out of them!" said Katsuki in anger.
"Right! We have to rescue Uraraka at all cost!" said Izuku.
"Trigon... I heard of that name before..." said Starfire. "Like Raven said, it's the name of a powerful demon lord that left trails of destruction to wherever realm he goes. Supposedly, he would create offspring with several women in order to produce children who will aid him in universal domination..."
"That's frightening!" said Momo in horror.
"A demon lord... A conqueror with unquenchable thirst for power... I fear what that the worst will happen if we do not do anything about him, if it is even possible!" said Fumikage.
"Fortunately, I placed a tracker on Raven all this time, so we can easily locate her," said Robin.
"You placed what?!" Blue Beetle asked him.
"She doesn't have a phone with her, so how else are we going to find her?" Robin said to him. "She has kept her past a complete secret from us, and that alone raises a lot of suspicions, which is why I put a tracker on her so that I can follow her and find out her secrets."
"You really take after your father, so I can't blame you..." said Nightwing.
"Is Batman a very cautious person as well?" asked Shouto.
"He's the kind of person who would go to a birthday party wearing his hero suit and bring all his weapons and gadgets, just to be safe..." replied Nightwing.
When Raven woke up, she found herself in a relatively dark room, bounded to a chair by steel cuffs. She tried to use her powers to escape, but was unable to conjure anything. Noticing a metal cuff around her neck, she thought, "Must be a power dampener... Didn't know it also works on magic users..."
Someone then entered the room. It was a middle-aged man with balding hair dressed in a white lab coat. "Hello there, Rachael!" the man said to her in a kind tone.
"Who are you and what do you want from me?!" she angrily said to her.
"Don't be so angry! I know we didn't get to meet each other under the best circumstances, and I do apologize that the family was a bit too tough," the man told her. "You may call me Doctor Adamson. As the Nuclear Family had told you, they have brought you here to see your father."
"I will not meet my father Trigon!" Raven angrily said to him.
"Don't say that! I had a conversation with your father, and he misses you so much!" Dr. Adamson told her. "Why don't you speak with him yourself?" He then turned Raven's chair around, and the sight before her shocked her.
It was red crystal the size about the size of a person hovering a few centimeters above the floor. When one looks closely at the crystal, a demonic-looking silhouette with yellow glowing eyes could be seen.
"Raven...!" a monstrous, echoing voice spoke from with the crystal.
"Fa... Father...!" said Raven while trembling in terror.
"We meet again...!" said the voice. "How bold of you to trap me in here! Did you really think you can get rid of me like this and sever your connection with me forever? You are my daughter! Wherever you go, you will never be able to escape from me!"
Raven turned to look at Dr. Adamson in anger and asked him, "Where did you get this?! Why did you bring it here?!"
"Admittedly, it took a lot of effort to finally find him!" Dr. Adamson told her. "Fortunately, our occultists and magicians are good at what they are doing, so we were finally able to find your father! Your father is a great person! He is the one who is going to purify this world and return it to a better state!"
"You're insane! My father is a monster who will destroy everything!" Raven told him.
"What you call destruction is his method of ridding this world of all that is unnecessary and impure! A world under his rule is one worthy of celebration and living in!" Dr. Adamson told her.
"You're insane! Whatever he promised you is false! All those who worshipped him in the past died because he killed them! You are signing your death warrant by obeying him!" Raven told him.
"Even if we die, it will be an honor!" said Dr. Adamson. By now, Raven could tell by looking at his eyes that he was a lost cause. "Only you have the power to release your father, which is why I brought you here."
"You're a fool if you think I will listen to you!" Raven told her.
"You will eventually! I know you will!" Dr. Adamson told her. "I will give you some time to consider. One way or the other, you will want to release your father. In the meantime, I hope the two of you have a fun time chatting with each other!" He then left the room, leaving Raven alone with the crystal containing Trigon.
"It's useless, daughter! You should rule together with the me the entire world! Get rid of the weakness that is your human side, and we will become unstoppable!" Trigon told her.
Glaring at him with eyes full of spite, she said, "I... won't!"
Meanwhile, Ochako found herself in a small empty room. She was in nervous and also in panic, as she found herself unable to use her Quirk. She noticed when she woke up a metal collar around her neck. At first, she didn't realize what the point of that was, but after trying multiple times to use her Quirk and failing, she began to wonder if this collar had anything to do with it, because upon closer inspection, there was a green flashing light on it, as if the collar was computerized.
"Where is this place? I have to find a way out of here fast! I wonder if the others are all right..." she wondered.
Chapter 5
The Demon's Daughter
The Teen Titans and Class 1-A students arrived in front of a building that looks abandoned due to the untrimmed plants and old equipment around it. "This is the place," said Robin, looking at a phone-like device.
"Of course it has to be a building that looks abandoned," said Blue Beetle. "Nobody will ever expect anyone to find anything here!"
"Let's go in, and be on your guard," Nightwing told everyone.
The group sneaked into the building, which surprisingly wasn't locked. The interior was dark and mostly empty, almost as if nobody actually is here.
But then a person wearing a black robe suddenly came out from a door and saw them, and he immediately shouted loudly, alerting everyone else in the place. In no time, several cloaked people and even folks in lab coats came rushing at them.
"So much for being cautious..." said Beast Boy.
"I prefer it this way!" said Katsuki, cracking his fists.
The heroes all got into fighting stances and then attacked the approaching villains... Which was easier said than done because those people were easy targets and posed no challenge at all. It was a mystery as to why they even dared charge at the heroes in the first place if they have no fighting skills...
It didn't take too long for the heroes to beat them all up and leave them lying all over the place. "That was easy!" said Blue Beetle.
"I'm glad this is the case, because we shouldn't waste time but instead look for our friends!" said Tenya.
Robin grabbed on of the henchmen by his collar and asked him the whereabouts of the hostages, but the latter replied, "Lord Trigon will be freed soon! There is nothing you can do to stop his return!" Seeing that he wasn't giving any answer, Robin punched him out in the face.
"Somehow, I feel like none of them are going to give answers..." said Robin.
"Let's keep on searching first," suggested Nightwing.
They traveled through the building again, and it didn't take long for them to enter a room that contains the Nuclear Family. "It's them! The people who attacked us!" said Fumikage.
"Oh look! We have guests!" said Dad, who was in perfect condition again.
"You're right! We should be welcoming them!" said Mom.
"Hooray! Friends to play with!" said Brat happily.
"No more playtime, you jerks!" Beast Boy angrily said to them.
"So they're the people who wrecked our place and kidnapped our friends? I'LL TEACH THEM A LESSON!" shouted Katsuki as fired a blast at Dad. Dad flew back from the blast and fell on his back, but he got back up, revealing a hole on his body that exposed the circuits inside. "What the?!"
"He's a robot?!" said Izuku in shock.
"Huh... And the doctor just patched me up..." said Dad, looking at the damage on his body.
"You should've stayed in bed, dear," Mom said to him. "The doctor did tell you to rest often."
"Perhaps you're right, but I'm more used to moving around and getting good exercises," said Dad. "Now that we have guests here, it would be rude to not treat them."
"Don't worry; we'll treat them nicely in your place!" Sis told him, and Biff said the same.
"I would assume that all of them are robots as well, and if that is the case, that makes things easier, because we don't have to hold back," said Nightwing.
"Yeah! That's the way I like it!" said Katsuki. "Turn to scrap metal, all of you!"
Dog stepped forward and barked once happily before opening his mouth to shoot a concentrated laser beam. The heroes tossed themselves aside, and Eijiro said, "That dog can shoot laser beams? That's wicked awesome!"
Dog fired a beam again, this time at Blue Beetle, who formed a shield using his hand to block it. While blocking the beam, he turned his other hand into a cannon and fired an energy blast at Dog. The dog was blown across the room, revealing that his skin had been burned off to reveal its metallic interior.
"Looks like we'll have to take Dog to the vet after this!" said Sis with a large smile on her face. Before she could turn around to face the good guys, Robin threw multiple batarangs at her that embedded into her head, and they exploded. The combined explosion of the batarangs was able to destroy Sis's head completely, leaving her headless and short-circuiting body to fall onto the floor.
"Wow! Sis had so much fun that she lost her head!" said Biff with excitement. "I want to experience that too!"
"Whoever developed their A.I. clearly has a twisted sense of humor..." commented Nightwing, weirded out by how excited Biff was acting, despite his younger sister being destroyed.
"I know, right...?" said Starfire in response.
Biff turned to the heroes and pointed his hands at them. "It's my turn to play with you!"
However, before he could do anything, Katsuki fired a concentrated orange beam at his body. "AP Shot!" The beam went right through Biff's body and didn't created an explosion until it hit the wall at the back.
With a clean hole on his body, Biff short-circuited collapsing onto the floor. "That was... fun...!" he said before going silent completely.
"How nice! Our children are having so much fun with our guests!" said Dad.
"Right! Now they're tired and need to take a nap! I think we adults should have our turn playing with the guests now!" said Mom. Her eyes then glowed, and then a shockwave came out from her body, causing the lights in the place to go out. In fact, everything electronic in the room stopped working.
"An electromagnetic pulse?!" said Nightwing in surprise.
"I can't see anything!" said Eijiro.
Blue Beetle and Beast Boy were able to see, however. The former was able to do so due to his suit having a night vision function, while Beast Boy turned into an owl to see better in the dark. They saw something that shocked them. "What the heck is that?!" said Blue Beetle in shock.
Before they entered the room, Dark Shadow was coming out of Fumikage. That was still the case, but now, Dark Shadow was much larger than before, not to mention more intimidating-looking.
"Everyone! Get away from me! This darkness has strengthened Dark Shadow! I may not be able to keep it from attacking you!" shouted Fumikage in panic.
"What's happening? I think I can see something but can't tell what it is!" said Starfire.
"Fumikage's Dark Shadow becomes larger and more powerful in dark places, but also more aggressive!" explained Izuku. "The darkness of this room has made it stronger!"
Letting out a beast-like roar, Dark Shadow began thrashing around the room wildly, while Fumikage tried his best to control it. Remembering where the door was, the heroes rushed their as fast as they could and went outside. They shut the door but could still hear loud sounds coming from within.
"Is he always like this in the dark?!" asked Nightwing.
"Like I said, when Dark Shadow is out of his body and the surrounding is very dark, it will become more dangerous!" Izuku told him. "If there is light, it will return to normal."
"If only there is a way to restore light after this blackout!" said Momo.
"Wait... I see an electric box!" said Blue Beetle, noticing such a thing at a nearby wall. He went over to it, and with the help of his suit's tech, he was able to restore electricity to the whole place. The sound coming from behind the door also died down, so they went inside with caution.
Inside, they saw Fumikage panting heavily, while Dark Shadow had returned to its original size. The room was also a mess, with broken pieces of furniture all over the place and cracks and scratches on the walls, floor, and even the ceiling.
Also, the remaining members of the Nuclear Family were now in pieces, scattered all over the floor, yet still smiling. "Whoa... Good thing we were outside just now..." said Beast Boy.
"Incredible...!" said Starfire.
"The darkness has subsided, and so the beast has calmed down..." said Fumikage. Dark Shadow looked like it was filled with guilt and shame about what it did, but its master told it that it was actually worth it in the end.
"You did it, pal!" Eijiro said to him while patting him in the back.
"Even so, this is a move of huge risk that I would like to avoid using as much as possible," said the latter.
Dr. Adamson entered the room Raven is in, and accompanying him were two people wearing black robes, and they were holding Ochaco, who still the power dampener around her neck, by her arms.
"Ochaco!" Raven said in shock upon seeing her.
"Raven! Thanks goodness you're all right!" Ochaco said to her. "Don't worry; I'm sure everything will be all right!"
Raven glared at Dr. Adamson and asked him, "Why did you bring her here? This has nothing to do with her!"
"You see, I needed a way to convince you to release your father," Dr. Adamson told her. "You seem to value your friends more than your father, so we figured that we can grab one of them and use her to convince you!"
"Don't give in to him, Raven! I can take whatever torture they throw at me!" Ochaco told Raven. Despite saying this, the former was actually sweating and trembling nervously at what might come upon her.
"Don't you dare a lay hand on her!" Raven angrily said to the madman.
"Then release your father! If you care about your friend so much, then you will let him out!" Dr. Adamson told her, but Raven continued to refuse. He then asked her, "Tell me something. Can you use your powers to heal people?"
"What's the point in asking that?" Raven asked him.
"Just tell me," the man told her.
"I can, but only small injuries," replied Raven. "If the injury is too serious, then I won't be able to anything about it."
"I see," said Dr. Adamson, nodding slightly. "Did you know that your father is much better at healing people? He can pretty much bring people back to life! Isn't that incredible?"
"Where are you getting at?" Raven asked him.
"This is what I mean," said Dr. Adamson. Without another word, he whipped out a knife and stabbed Ochaco in the abdomen, much to the two girls' horror. Dr. Adamson stabbed her in various parts of the body over and over, causing her to cough out a large amount of blood while crying in pain.
"Ochaco! NOOOOOO! STOP IT!" Raven screamed at the top of her voice as tears ran down her eyes.
The two captors let go of Ochaco, dropping the bloodied girl onto the floor. "Am... am I going... to die...?" she said in her head as she struggled to stay alive.
More and more blood continue to pour out of the various stab wounds on her body, and she felt her strength slowly disappearing. "YOU MONSTER! I'LL KILL YOU!" Raven shouted in anger.
"Then release your father so that he can heal her! I'm sure this injury is too much for you to heal," said Dr. Adamson. "I made sure to stab the parts that will cause death."
"LET GO OF ME AT ONCE!" Raven shouted.
"Let's see what you can do then!" said Dr. Adamson before undoing the cuffs on her chair.
Raven immediately went to Ochaco and used her powers to heal her. However, due to the severity of the wounds, Ochaco wasn't getting any better. "Stay with me! Please don't die!" Raven told her with a face full of tears. "You have to live!"
By this point, Ochaco was too weak to say anything. She had a look of horror on her face, realizing that her life was going to fade any second. She never became a pro hero, and now she was going to die in a completely different world, far from her family. "No... I don't want to die..." she said in her head. "I don't... want to die... Please... save me...!"
"Release me, Raven, and I promise I will heal your friend!" Trigon told Raven.
Raven didn't want to release her father, but seeing how she was unable to heal Ochaco and that the latter didn't have much time left, she tearfully and angrily went up to the crystal. "You promise me, right?" Raven asked him.
"I promise. After all, it is a father's duty to make his daughter happy by giving her what she wants!" replied Trigon.
With no other choice, Raven pressed her hands on the crystal and began chanting an incantation. Dark energy appeared around her, and then it enveloped the crystal, and Dr. Adamson watched with glee.
The crystal eventually cracked, and then it shattered while releasing red light that filled the room. When the light died down, crystal shards could be seen on the floor, and standing among them was a tall demon with two horns, long silver hair, and four eyes. Dr. Adamson and his subordinates fell on their knees, and the former cried out loud happily, "At last! Lord Trigon!"
Raven was down on her knees, looking at her monstrous father with eyes of horror. Trigon looked down at her and said, "You have done well, daughter! I knew you would set me free!" He then looked at the dying Ochaco and said, "All right, as promised. I will heal her."
He went over to Ochaco, who was staring at him in shock, despite her life disappearing. Placing his hand above her body, white light came out from his palm, and in an instant, Ochaco's body fully healed. The student sat up and felt all over her body to find that she had indeed returned to perfect condition.
"Ochaco!" Raven said in joy as she ran to her to hug her.
"I'm... I'm fine again!" said Ochaco, crying tears of joy at being to live to see another day.
Suddenly, the door swung open, and the heroes came rushing in. "Ochaco!" said Izuku happily when he saw his classmate in the room.
"Deku! Everyone!" said Ochaco happily.
"What is that?!" asked Blue Beetle in shock upon seeing Trigon.
"That's Trigon!" pointed out Starfire.
"That's Raven's father?!" said Tenya in shock.
"Everyone... I'm sorry... I had no choice...!" Raven told them tearfully. "Ochaco was dying, so I had to free my father so that he can heal her... I'm... I'm sorry...!"
Dr. Adamson said to them, "You are too late! Our lord has returned to the world! He will purge the world of all that is unnecessary! There is nothing you can do to stop it!"
"You're insane! He's going to destroy the whole world! There won't be anything left after he is done!" Starfire told him.
"Yes, all that is impure will be destroyed!" said Dr. Adamson, sounding more and more lunatic. "The world will become much better! It will return to a state of purity and newness! It will become the ultimate dream world!"
"This guy's insane!" said Eijiro.
"Like all villains, of course!" said Katsuki.
Dr. Adamson then knelt down in front of Trigon and said to him, "Tell me, my lord! Give me orders! I will do anything for you! I am at your command! I brought you back into this world! I am ready to serve you even more!"
"I order you to be silent for a minute!" said Trigon in annoyance as he grabbed his neck and, in an instant, snapped it. Just like that, Dr. Adamson fell down the dead, a sight that horrified the heroes.
"He... He killed him...!" gasped Tenya.
"How horrible...!" said Izuku in horror.
Looking at his hand, Trigon said, "My power has yet to fully return, but it is already more than enough to get rid of you! This will be good exercise before I conquer this world!"
"As if we'll let a monster like you succeed!" said Katsuki. "DIE!" He rushed at the demon, despite Raven shouting at him not to do so. He released an explosion from one hand at the demon, but the latter emerged from the explosion unharmed. "How about a stronger blast?" Katsuki released explosions from both hands this time.
Trigon emerged from the explosion unharmed again, lunging at Katsuki at a fast speed, grabbing him by the neck, and then slamming him onto the floor. Seeing his friend in danger, Izuku activated his Quirk and jumped at Trigon, kicking him in the side of the head hard. At the same time, Tenya kicked Trigon in one side of the body with an engine-powered kick, while Eijiro slammed down his hardened hands like a hammer onto the demon's back.
Trigon cried loudly in anger as he stood up, swinging Katsuki around like a bludgeon to knock away those three teenagers before hurling him away into a wall.
Robin and Nightwing then threw exploding projectiles at Trigon, and they were accompanied by Starfire and Blue Beetle, who fired energy beams at him nonstop. Momo also offered support by creating a rocket launcher to fire real explosives at Trigon.
Trigon's eyes glowed in bright red light, and then he unleashed a pair of eye beams at his attackers, forcing them to stop what they were doing and get out of harm's way.
Beast Boy turned into a rhinoceros and rammed into the demon from the side while he was too focused on his eye beam attack, pushing him against the wall. Beast Boy then turned into a gorilla and punched the demon over and over. Trigon caught both his fists, stopping them and overpowering the green boy with little effort. He tried to shoot his eye beams at Beast Boy, who turned into a snake to slither out of harm's way in time.
Shouto then released ice in Trigon's direction, freezing the demon to the wall. However, Trigon released heat from all over his body to melt the ice, much to Shouto's surprise.
Fumikage sent Dark Shadow after Trigon, and the shadowy creature hacked and slashed away at the demon, but its attacks barely did anything to him. Trigon caught Dark Shadow by the neck and said, "Interesting... This creature of yours is seeping with darkness!"
"Dark Shadow may be associated with darkness, but that does not make him a force of evil!" Fumikage told him. "I will never stray from the path of a hero! I will show you that the power of darkness can also be used for justice!"
"Then you are a fool unfit to use this power!" said Trigon angrily before heating up his hand to burn Dark Shadow, and then he punched the shadowy being away, sending it back into Fumikage's body.
Ochacho and Raven had been watching the whole thing from the sideline the whole time. The former was shocked at how Trigon was able to hold up against so many heroes at once. "He's good!" she thought. Remembering the power dampener around her neck, she said in her head, "If only this thing isn't around me! I could've offered a helping hand!"
"I have enough of you fools!" said Trigon as his eyes glowed, and then he released a red shockwave from around his body that blew away everything in the room, and everyone was sent crashing through the walls, which were broken down by the shockwave.
Raven sat up and looked at Trigon while trembling in terror. "It's not possible to beat him... No...! He's too powerful!"
Trigon turned to Raven and said, "Your friends are weak! They cannot save you! You born to serve me! It is your destiny, and there is nothing you can do!"
Raven was too horrified to anything but instead kept on crying, as if she agreed with what her father said.
"Realize that being human has made you weak, and eventually, you will come to me and beg to be at my side!" Trigon said to her. "I will be waiting! I hope that you make the right choice!"
After saying this, Trigon turned around and broke through the wall before walking outside, intending to begin his attempt at world domination.
"No... It's hopeless... It's all over...!" Raven said to her as she wept bitterly.
"Don't give up hope...!" Izuku said to her weakly as he stood up and approached her. "No matter what you do, do not give up hope! You have to hold onto the belief that you can win!"
"You all got defeated by him! How can you still have hope?!" Raven asked him.
"None of us are dead, right? As long as we are still breathing, there is still hope!" Izuku told her. "All the other heroes in your world will definitely do something as well! As long as heroes exist, there is still hope! Even you can stand up and fight for what you think is right! You are his daughter, and if he is that powerful, then surely you have the potential to be as powerful as him! If there is anyone with the best chance at taking him down, it's you!"
"But it is the power of evil and darkness! What can I possibly do against him?!" asked Raven, almost sounding enraged.
"Just because your power is that of darkness does not mean it can only be used for evil!" Fumikage told her. "My Quirk is one that is considered to be of the shadows and all that is evil, yet I never strayed from my path of being a hero! Despite his appearance name, Dark Shadow is a force of good, willing to agree with my ideals and fight alongside me! It is not your power that determines who you are, but how you use it! You can use your so-called power of darkness for the force of good!"
"Right! You can surely use your power for good!" Izuku told her. "As long as you use your power correctly, there has to be a way to defeat him!"
Raven thought about what they said, and then mustering her courage, she picked up one of a crystal shards and then went outside. "Father!" she shouted at Trigon, who turned around.
"Have you finally made your decision?" he asked her.
"First off, I would like to thank you for bringing me into this world so that I can meet all these wonderful friends!" Raven told him. "I am indeed thankful for that, but... I simply cannot abandon them and follow your ways!"
"You fool! You have chosen unwisely!" Trigon said in anger.
"Perhaps, but if this unwise decision will make the world a better place and bring people hope, then so be it!" said Raven. As she said this, a black aura appeared around her, taking the form of a raven, her namesake. "I believe in all that is good!"
Pointing her hand at Trigon, the dark energy raven charged at Trigon. "What is this?!" Trigon asked in shock as the energy engulfed him. He felt his body weakening, so much that he couldn't fight back at all. "Raven! How dare you?!"
"Incredible...! Raven is actually overpowering him!" said Izuku in awe.
"Yes, but she will need help! I believe I hear a calling that it is my time to shine!" said Fumikage. He sent forth Dark Shadow, who went into the dark energy coming out of Raven's hands continuously. This resulted in Dark Shadow merging with the dark energy and taking a larger and more monstrous-looking form, a sight that shocked the three teens.
Trigon watched in shock as the now monstrous-looking Dark Shadow lunged at him, inflicting great pain on him and pushing him back and eventually carrying him straight into the air.
Dark Shadow and Raven's black magic then swooped back down onto the ground, creating an explosion of darkness upon impact.
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG!
"Incredible...!" said Izuku in awe.
When the dark energy dissipated, Dark Shadow returned to Fumikage in its original form. The shadowy being had wide open eyes, as it was shocked at what it pulled off just now.
Trigon was seen lying on the ground in pain. Raven approached him and held up the crystal. "Forgive me, father..." she said in a sad tone. She began chanting an incantation. The crystal then floated into the air and shined brightly.
Hearing this, Trigon began to panic. "Raven! How dare you do this to your father?! Curse you! I will escape again and destroy everything you hold dear!" The light shined onto Trigon, who was then pulled into the tiny crystal shard.
"And thus the demon has been sealed away..." said Fumikage, looking at the shard.
The other heroes ran to Raven. "You did it!" Beast Boy told her.
"I saw everything just now, and man! That was awesome and badass!" said Eijiro.
"I wanted to give him the final blow..." grumbled Katsuki.
"You did a great job, Raven!" Nightwing said to her.
"Positive thinking is my father's biggest weakness," said Raven. "Izuku and Fumikage inspired me to keep pressing forward and not give up, and with this positive thinking, I was able to unleash the kind of power for defeating him."
"I'm glad that we helped! It's great to not lose hope!" Izuku said to her.
"Indeed, I can sense great light in your so-called power of darkness," Fumikage told her. "Despite the kind of power you have, you have the potential shine down heavenly light onto people's hearts and bring them great joy!"
"By the way, Tokomyami, what you did earlier was awesome!" Eijiro said to Fumikage. "I didn't know Dark Shadow was capable of that!"
"Indeed, I have never seen him like that before," said Shouto.
"I was taken by surprise as well," said Fumikage. "Perhaps the nature of his very being syncs well with Raven's dark magic that such a form occurred."
"Maybe that is indeed the case!" said Raven in agreement.
"So... what do we do about the crystal?" Blue Beetle asked Raven.
Raven thought for a few seconds and then said with a smirk, "Since my father always wanted me to be by his side, so..."
