The Eclipse of Fate
The wind howled across the red-stained, scorched earth, carrying the suffocating stench of ash and divine blood. High above, the sky burned in a violent hue of bruised orange, reflecting the tragic drama unfolding below.
Jade stood motionless, her pale hands trembling as her dark purple eyes overflowed with continuous, hot tears. The tip of her sword remained hovering near Ryan's neck, but her heart was bleeding in absolute, unbearable agony.
"I will leave him..." Jade whispered, her voice cracking with deep, romance-novel grief as she looked at Emily. She wiped a tear with her blood-stained sleeve and glared down at Ryan. "Ask him, Emily... Ask him where my daughter is! What did he do to my sweet baby?!"
Emily turned her gaze down to her husband, her face pale, her wide eyes weeping with a mother's desperate plea. "Tell me, Ryan..." she sobbed, clutching his arm with trembling hands. "For the sake of our sons... tell her the truth! Where is her child?"
Ryan looked away, his mind racing through the dark corridors of his secrets. He remembered the tragic bond he had witnessed earlier—how deeply his sister, Princess Merin, loved little Fiona. If he revealed the truth now, the realm would shatter, and Merin would be ripped apart from the child she raised as her own.
His jaw set in a cold, unyielding line. "I won't," Ryan said, his voice dropping into a dangerous, icy silence.
Emily gasped, her mind shattering into a million pieces. "What...?"
A bitter, hollow scoff escaped Jade's lips. She raised her blade, ready to slice through his neck.
Before her sword could descend, Ryan pushed himself up from the dirt, his blood-red eyes fixed on Emily. A soft, agonizing shadow of sorrow flickered across his pale features.
"I'm sorry, Emily..." Ryan spoke out, his serious, worried tone laced with a tragic, final farewell. "I am sorry for everything."
Emily stared at him, completely lost, her tears falling endlessly. "Ryan... what are you saying?!"
"Take care of our children," Ryan whispered coldly, his gaze shifting for a fleeting second to his twin sons standing in the distance. A sharp pang of pain shot through his chest, but he buried it beneath his dark ambition.
Without another word, Ryan launched himself into the stormy sky!
Surging high above the clouds, his blood-red aura flared with catastrophic intensity as he summoned the ultimate, forbidden power of Ghostology to obliterate Jade and everyone below.
"He won't change..." Jade whispered softly, watching his shadowy form rise.
"Ryan, no!" Emily screamed from the dirt, dropping to her knees, completely betrayed and broken by the blind love she had given to a monster.
A massive, crackling ring of blood-red dark fire erupted from Ryan's palms, expanding violently across the heavens. Below, Emperor Ren, Queen Lia, and Princess Merin gasped in absolute horror.
"He is using forbidden dark Ghostology!" Lia cried out, her hands shaking. "It will destroy the entire realm!"
"Ryan, stop!" Emperor Ren roared into the sky. "You cannot break the sacred law!"
Ryan scoffed mockingly from above, his voice echoing like thunder. "This law did not help me when I was nothing! This forbidden power is what made me strong!"
Suddenly, a tear in space opened, and Merin's husband, King Henry, stepped out from a white smog. His eyes widened in sheer terror as he looked up. "No..." Henry whispered frantically. "Jade's core alone cannot control that magnitude of dark energy!"
Jade raised her pale hands, unleashing a colossal wave of purple Farina fire from her palm to clash against the descending red storm. But the weight of Ghostology was suffocating.
"I won't let you stand alone!" Prince Leo shouted, launching into the air beside Jade, adding his divine energy.
Demon King Dylan rushed forward next, his silver star magic roaring to life, followed immediately by Nine-Tailed Fox King Justin, and even Henry and Merin, all casting their power upward to hold back the apocalyptic wave!
Ryan laughed maniacally from the clouds. "So... everyone has turned against me?! Then perish together!" He pressed his palms down, doubling the dark pressure.
CRACK!
Jade snapped her head toward Justin. His face was deathly pale, and fresh, crimson blood erupted from his lips as his artificial core fractured under the immense strain.
"Justin, let go!" Jade screamed, her heart breaking. "This power will completely demolish your core!"
"I won't leave you, Jade!" Justin spat out blood, forcing his body to hold the line despite the agonizing pain tearing through his chest.
In that desperate heartbeat, King Dylan saw the impending tragedy. Reaching his bare hand into his own chest with a muffled roar of pain, Dylan pulled out the ancient, shining Fox Jade—Justin's original, golden Fox Core that Jade had given to rescue him.
Enduring the agonizing shock, Dylan called out, "Justin!"
With a powerful throw, Dylan hurled the glowing orange core through the storm! The Fox Jade slammed into Justin's chest at the exact second his artificial core shattered. The ancient, divine energy instantly merged back into Justin's bloodline, pulsing through his veins. Power exploded around Justin as his true Nine-Tailed aura fully restored!
"Dad!" Jade cried out, her eyes wide with worry.
Dylan coughed up dark blood, forcing a gentle, loving smile toward her. "Don't worry about me, my child... Daddy is okay."
Jade wept openly at his words.
Dylan's expression turned solemn as he looked up at the dark sky. "I know a way to seal his Ghostology power forever... Strengthen your magic!"
Leo's eyes widened in horror. "No! Dad, don't!"
Dylan looked back at his son and wife with tear-filled eyes. "There is no other way, Leo... Take good care of your sister and your mother."
"What do you mean?!" Jade screamed, panic seizing her chest.
"No!" Justin roared, realizing Dylan's ultimate sacrifice.
Demon King Dylan raised his head, the lightning strike mark across his broad chest igniting with a blinding, celestial brilliance! With an earth-shattering roar, Dylan flew straight into the center of Ryan's dark fire circle, violently detonating his own life core from within to neutralize the forbidden art!
BOOM!
A blinding wave of majestic blue aura consumed the sky, erasing the dark fire completely. As the blinding light faded, King Dylan's body dissolved into glowing blue starlight, disappearing into the wind forever. He had sacrificed his life to save them all.
"NO!" Jade, Leo, Merin, Lia, and Ren screamed together, their tragic cries echoing across the desolate mountains.
Far across the battlefield, Queen Irin finally stumbled forward, her mind coming back to reality just in time to see her husband vanish into thin air. "DYLAN!" she shrieked, collapsing onto the earth, sobbing hysterically into the dirt.
High above, Ryan gasped in complete shock. His Ghostology power was completely gone—sealed away forever by Dylan's divine sacrifice. "What... what did he do?!"
Jade lowered her head in the quiet sky. "Dad..." she whispered, her voice trembling.
Wiping her tears with a violent sweep of her hand, Jade's face hardened into a mask of pure, absolute, merciless fury.
SWOOSH!
In a fraction of a second, Jade materialized directly before Ryan in mid-air. Her deadliest purple sword flashed through the orange clouds in a single, clean, arc of light.
SLASH!
Ryan's eyes widened in frozen shock as his head parted from his body, falling through the sky before crashing heavily onto the dirt below. The dark prince was dead.
Emily closed her eyes, bowing her head as silent tears rained down her face. In the distance, little Fiona and Ryan's twin boys wept hysterically, completely terrified after witnessing the gruesome death.
Jade landed on the bloodied earth, her chest heaving heavily, her dark eyes still burning with lethal fury.
"Brother!" Merin screamed, her face contorted with grief. Enraged, Merin raised her hands to summon her celestial magic against Jade, but Henry instantly grabbed her wrist, holding her back.
"Merin, don't act reckless!" Henry warned sternly, his eyes filled with solemn gravity. "She actually saved our entire realm! Do you have any idea how terrifyingly evil Ghostology is?!"
Merin shoved his hand away, weeping hysterically. "Of course I know, you idiot! But I just lost my brother!"
Little Fiona stood trembling behind them, staring at Jade with wide, terrified eyes, paralyzed by the Devil Goddess's dark, intimidating aura.
The chaotic battle noise slowly died down, leaving only the sound of the howling wind under the glowing red and orange sky.
Jade stood amidst the quiet ashes, her sword dissipating into purple dust. She turned her head slowly and saw Justin walking toward her from the opposite side of the clearing.
A faint, breathtaking, romantic smile touched Jade's pale, blood-stained lips. "...Justin."
"Jade... my love!" Justin whispered, his golden eyes shining with overwhelming devotion.
Forgetting the war, the blood, and the world around them, Justin ran to her, wrapping his strong arms around her waist and pulling her body flush against his chest in a desperate, tight embrace. Jade buried her face into his neck, weeping softly as she wrapped her arms around him.
Justin pulled back slightly, staring deep into her dark purple eyes. Driven by raw, intense emotion, he leaned down and pressed his lips hard against hers—a passionate, demanding, long-awaited reunion kiss.
Leo stood on the ground a short distance away, a soft, happy smile gracing his face for his sister's long-sought peace.
Jade kissed Justin back deeply, her hands gripping his shoulders. Justin's strong hands pulled her even closer, wrapping possessively around her waist and hip as he kissed her with burning, unrestrained passion.
STAB!
A sharp, sickening sound of tearing flesh cut through the romantic silence.
Justin's lips suddenly parted from Jade's. His golden eyes widened in complete, horror-filled disbelief as his breath hitched violently in his throat.
There, between their embraced bodies, Justin was holding a sharp, divine dragon knife in his hand—and Jade was gripping his wrist, forcing the blade deep into her own stomach! Crimson blood burst from the wound, drenching her clothes and pouring down her abdomen.
"Why...?" Justin choked out, his voice shaking violently as terror seized his entire soul. "Jade... why?!"
Jade looked up into his eyes, a soft, heartbreaking smile gracing her bloody lips as tears overflowed down her cheeks. "We cannot have a happy ending, Justin..."
Justin looked down in horror. Clutched in Jade's bloody hands beneath the knife was the stolen Ancestral White Soul Globe of the Fox Clan. The sacred white orb was rapidly absorbing Jade's spilling, divine Devil blood!
As the orb drank her heart's blood, the dormant souls of the fallen Fox ancestors within it began to react violently, awakening back to life!
"No... NO!" Justin cried out, his voice cracking into a desperate sob as he realized what she had done.
On the ground below, Leo froze in utter shock. "NO! JADE!"
Queen Irin widened her tear-filled eyes in horror. Lia and Ren gasped, while Henry, Merin, and Liora looked on in complete, heart-wrenching shock.
Liora fell to her knees, weeping bitterly into her hands. She read the forbidden black scroll I hid beneath my bed... Liora thought in despair. She knew it all along... No one can escape this tragic fate!
"This is the only way to bring your fallen ancestors back to life, Justin..." Jade whispered softly, her body trembling violently as her vitality rapidly drained into the white orb. "It is worth it..."
"NO!" Justin wept hysterically, trying desperately to pull the knife back, but Jade's grip on his hand was absolute. "I don't care about the ancestors! I don't care about anything! I only want YOU, Jade!"
Jade offered him one last, exquisitely romantic, heartbreaking smile as her eyes began to lose their light. "Accept fate, my love... There is no other way..."
