The next morning, they all gather in the field and Orion Says "I have to ask all the dwarfs that can make the living swords to make those for everyone that is here in this field. If after the swords are all made you wish to learn to be sword mages we will stay and teach you. For everyone else what you will be learning takes practice and dedication. We will need each of you to swear an oath to bond with the living swords that will be made. Each of the seven of my fellow sword mages will walk among you and tell you where your stances and or actions are wrong. we are not picking on you this is a war and we can't win it by loosing you either to the shadows or to the sword. Its not going to be easy so we expect you to have eaten before and after practice. When we get to sword craft, I will have to sing wooden swords to start your training with as we go if you feel its too much let us know there is no shame in stepping out. We as sword mages care for life. As you can see, we have a half demon, two cat people, and three orcs teaching you. We met a group of minotaurs on our way here and even though we didn't get any more recruits we did make friends. We are always to uphold the righteous, and good. The ones who have taken the oath can tell you the bond between sword mage and blade is deep. Can everyone see me"? he heard a resounding yes sir. Then he started showing the forms and they walked among the army and fixed stances and that sort on a grand scale. As before this took a long time, Orion would take on ten at a time critiquing the new recruits on how to fix their stances, Sherly took on eight, Night took on six, the orcs took on four, each and Gallo took on two, at a time. this helped train the army of were-rats into Sword mages. The Dwarven where rats were busy making living swords, they knew how precious these blades were and the where army knew they were learning how to fight like a true warrior brigade. Orion had the orcs come to the forest and sing the song of truth over the were rat army for the oath ceremony it was a grand event all the new apprentices then came the hard training and actual bonding with the swords he had them fight each other till they were tired out. Judging who would fit for a special mission after they were fully trained. He needed a Guinee pig shadow possessed to try things out with the song and sword to remove the shadows. the people deserve to be free to make their own decisions and right now too many are under the control of evil. He contacts Rufus and asks "are there any elder dragons left or even any of the deep dragons left? How hard would it be to set up a meeting. I have some problems that only they would know to explain or help me with". Rufus says "it can be done but I don't know how fast they are in hiding and many hide as other creatures or rocks etc.". Orion says "all I can do is wait or you could send us to them. Either way after we can get all the army trained in magic, we can send groups of them to steal a couple of the shadow possessed that have been possessed for a long time". Oh, Rufus says so you think we start small. Orion says its not small to abduct long possessed shadow people but to take them in small numbers in a way that the shadow does not know how it has happened and disappear. Will strike fear in them. This keeps them from finding the army and also knowing where we really are. And the fear is just the start. The next step will be taking entire cities back and freeing the possessed, and if I am right this will kill all the shadows that possessed the city. This means the shadow king will be off balance. This will give us room to move". Rufus says you are looking that far ahead"? Orion states "This is just the first steps in removing the shadows and rebuilding the order. This army is more than we had back in my day, and all of them are not pure humans. So, there will need to be set up squads, and a hierarchy. I don't want to have to do this like this but since I have the most experience, I will be the head and my first seven generals will be the first seven apprentices from there they will make platoons and squads that fit different situations. Night and Gallo will be making stealth squads. The orcs will be building an infantry, knight, and a siege teams and Sherly will be making the rear guard. I would like you to be my advisor on the rats and how you see your people. I am not perfect Nore do I expect you to be but you know your people better than I do". Rufus smiles and agrees "I will see if I can set you up a meeting with a dragon that might be able to help you. And I accept the position as an advisor". Orion thanks Rufus and the apprentices do as he had described they all were new to this form of leadership but it became apparent that it was exactly what was needed. After they trained and worked together with the new army to get everyone trained in both sword and magic. Orion told Night of the plan to capture some shadow possessed and had her pick and lead a squad of the most skilled stealth recruits and they went to a shadow city and because the were-rats could turn into rats, they infiltrated the city easily and they captured three high ranking members of the Shadow possessed and put blind folds on them and carried them away just as fast as they got in all-in-one night.
