The morning after the ceremony Sherly was practicing with her new sword and Orion left and went to the town hall. There he inquired if there was a mages guild in town and was directed to a tower on the outskirts of town. Once Orion arrived, he walked in and saw 2 dwarves sitting behind a desk. The first mage says "finally come to the mage's guild Great Sword Mage? Orion looks at the dwarf and says "I apologize brother but between getting a new sword, learning my order has fallen and training a new apprentice I have been Quite busy. Any way I came to ask if you have the song spell, I sang last night on hand"? Once again, the first Dwarf answers "that was a spell the magic was so subtle that I thought nothing of it. If your magic is so small how was your order so great ha ha". Orion laughs too and says" The Spell was to remove any Shadows that whisper evil in people's ears. It's the song of truth. It only affects The Shadows and not the normal populace. Do you want to have a mage or 2 who can learn it to keep it out of this town? It can dispel the evil in this city"? The first mage says "you might want to consult a priest the sing we chant". Orion says "so you won't learn to save your town I fear for this place as soon as I leave". And he leaves the Mages guild and goes to a temple and ask the same of the priest. The priest says "the song of truth would be a great song to sing with our daily mass I will send a priest and priestess in training to learn it". Orion replies with a smile and says "I will be ready to teach them in a week by then my apprentice should be able to help". With that Orion returns to the town hall and ask are there any monsters in the area that need to be removed there is a bunch of man-eating bears in the south woods and a hoard of goblins in the west cave system. Orion thanks them and then leaves when he gets back to the cottage Sherly has just finished her sword practice and has the magic book out and is reading it. Orion sits down and waits till she finishes reading. Once she has Orion ask "what are your thoughts"? Sherly Says "well it talks about manna as something that's all around us, and how we build up our ability to use it through action and words, it also talks of how words can be chants or songs. It says the first spells were actually songs of despair or need and they created things people didn't understand. So, this then begs why do we still not see magic every time someone sings or chants. The book says this is because not everyone has the ability to use magic and 2 that everyone doesn't have a connection with the world. How do we not have a connection with this world"? Orion says "It was originally thought those who lacked the magic were not mentally right. Either mentally slow or did not believe in them selves enough to create magic pathways to use". Sherly then smiles and says "that sounds good but when the Shadows attacked everyone of those people were normal then they suddenly used magic". Orion replies "Did they use magic or did the shadows use the magic and just use their bodies as a conduit"? Sherly eyes go wide as understanding hits. "So, this world accepts the shadows"? Orion Says "yes it understands that there has to be a balance or the world it self can die." Sherley then says "but the balance is gone now"! Orion says "It seems like it is gone, but is it? The balance is never prefect it tilts one way and we have a golden age it tilts the other way and we have a dark age. But there are still good people in the world even now. It is said how do we know prosperity if we have never known poverty, how do we know good without evil, how do we know light without darkness? So, does this make sense now"? Sherly thinks for a wile and then nods she then takes the book in to the table and pulls out her journal and starts copping it. The next day Sherly Starts her practice and goes through the forms concentrating on her flow of mana and feels it flowing through her body and she starts to sing the song that was sung for her ceremony and she feels the mana leaving her body like a spell. She knew that she was casting spells with a song and Dance this just made her laugh, her master kept talking about sword mages singing and dancing and the picture she had was a ball room not a battle field but now she could see the battle field. This excited her and made her wonder what's next. Magic or song its more like song magic and it's so powerful having a master who truly trains her not just beats her till she fights back is new. The way he trains her is so unusual its all about forms that become dances and words that become magical songs. Now she sees herself fighting on the battlefield with a song and dance. She laughs as imagining this compared to her anger before when she had to fight. She used to think her anger made her fight better, but now she knew fighting with a level head and a song in her made her fight better and makes it easier to perry and think of spells and songs. All of this and it seems to only get better. After she finished her sword practice, she pulled out the magic book and she started to read. Second chapter had her moving mana around in her by singing tones do, ray, me, fa, so, la, te, do. I was to envision the elements as I did so fire, water, lightning, earth, wind, and space. As I read this, I meditated on it and found that it was easy to do with my mana channels and how I was shown that mana flows through me not just using my body's mana. After her meditation and a conversation with Orion about what she has learned she copied the chapter in her journal. She is told that tomorrow they were going to travel to kill some bears then some goblins.
