Aconite; monshood; wolfsbane: these names describe a plant that is extremely lethal to werewolves. Not only can different recipes (Ha ha) of this plant kill someone of my kind, prepared properly and administered at the optimal time window, its juice can reverse lycanthropy. Or so I've read.
Beyond the optimal time window, when a subject has become considerably lycanthropic—having become more werewolf than human, the wolfsbane poison will overpower their regeneration. And kill them.
My instincts go wild at the scent of wolfsbane, and I pause in my own living room. I am scared. Every breath assures me that death is literally in the air.
Something drops from above. But, alert, I burst into motion, evading in a tight roll. The object falls with the lightness of a feather, and holds a dagger in its teeth, freeing its hands to grapple.
