UK:GSW Chapter 419 – Uchiha Kei: I Feel Like Old Man Madara Wants to Make Me Die Laughing So He Can Inherit My Debt (Part 2)

The meeting with Uchiha Madara came sooner than expected.

Mainly because the way Madara came to see Uchiha Kei was so… over the top.

Once the old man decided to meet Kei, he came over that very same night.

He didn't use any special tricks or rituals—none of that "original series" style where he met Uchiha Obito with a grand setup. He just put on a mask with two holes for his eyes… and came straight over.

That was sheer confidence in his own strength—an aura of dominance over the world.

In truth, the old Madara no longer had that kind of aura. But nearly a year of gaming, feeling youthful again inside the game, and standing at the peak among all players had gradually restored his former spirit.

In reality, his improving health was also restoring his mindset, and once he had reawakened his Mangekyō Sharingan—complete with an "Extreme Sublimation" Mangekyō ability—his mentality grew even stronger.

All these factors combined to create the Madara standing here today.

In Madara's eyes, Uchiha Kei, while an exceptionally talented junior—a once-in-a-millennium sage of the Uchiha Clan—was still just a junior.

For such a junior, the now-restored Madara saw no need for bizarre schemes. If he wanted to meet him, he would meet him openly and directly.

So Madara simply activated his Sharingan and came right over. Along the way, anyone he encountered was hypnotized and knocked out—pure, unrestrained arrogance.

However, when he ran into Kei's guard squad, his hypnosis actually failed. Though they only appeared to have three-tomoe Sharingan, the strength of those eyes was such that even a Mangekyō could not break through.

Thanks to training in the illusion game and the "system soap package" Kei provided, the Sharingan of Kei's Uchiha guards had been developed to a terrifying level.

The only reason they hadn't all awakened Mangekyō was simple—they didn't have the innate qualification for it.

In the main world, just as in Kishimoto's original Shippuden, even with the right conditions, not every Uchiha could awaken Mangekyō.

In fact, Uchiha Madara had targeted Uchiha Obito in the original story precisely because Obito was the only one at the time with the potential to awaken Mangekyō and still be controlled by him.

Of course, technology can change lives—and destinies. In a later "sequel" story to Shippuden created by Kishimoto, there was a special character whose unique constitution created miraculous interactions with the Sharingan, making it much easier to awaken Mangekyō. Though this was due to that individual's special body, it still proved how much biological science could enhance the Sharingan.

If Orochimaru and his team continued their research, it wouldn't be far-fetched to expect most of the Uchiha Clan to one day have the potential for Mangekyō. And they would be more than willing to try—because Kei wanted them to.

What's more, the method for awakening the Rinnegan was already well understood. One of Orochimaru's research directions was to follow Madara's own method—awakening Mangekyō step by step, and then evolving it into the Rinnegan.

It was bound to be a long and slow process, but with a clear route and a chance of success, it was worth attempting and overcoming the challenges.

That was the charm of science.

In short, Kei's Uchiha guards could fully resist Madara's ocular power. But because Kei had instructed them beforehand to cooperate with the old man, they didn't put up a real fight and instead allowed his genjutsu to take effect, sending them into a baby-like sleep.

Of course, while the sleep was real, it didn't mean they couldn't wake up. They had prearranged failsafes that would rouse them instantly if danger arose—Madara would never get a true chance to harm Kei.

Before long, Kei met Madara—on the open-air balcony of his home.

Kei had long since moved out of his old apartment. His new home was a high-rise penthouse in the new district of the Hidden Leaf, taking the top two floors and connecting them into a massive rooftop mansion.

Its design drew on the luxury penthouses Kei had only seen in videos in his previous life, complete with open-air garden, balcony, and swimming pool—unmistakable signs of a wealthy life.

It was, without doubt, something Kei had built deliberately—to satisfy that old envy he'd felt for the lives of the rich.

And so, on that luxurious rooftop balcony, Kei came face-to-face with Uchiha Madara—dressed in black, masked, arms crossed, radiating the aura of one who would dominate the world.

As soon as they met, Madara spoke in a deep voice: "Uchiha junior, I have wanted to meet you for a long time."

The words, combined with his current image and demeanor, were straight out of the "mysterious, all-powerful man" playbook.

But Kei wasn't about to play along with Madara's theatrics. Instead, he immediately went for the "reveal" move.

With a meaningful smile, he said, "Nice to meet you, Madara-senpai. I'm very glad to finally see you."

Madara froze. His eyes locked on Kei, his Sharingan igniting with a red glow, the tomoe spinning rapidly, and a suffocating pressure filling the air.

Kei simply kept smiling, looking at him without the slightest hint of guilt for having "opened the box," holding that half-smile as he stared back.

The atmosphere grew heavy and oppressive.

After a while, Madara finally moved—slowly raising a hand and removing his mask, revealing an aged yet slightly rounded face.

The moment Kei saw it, he nearly burst out laughing.

It was honestly a cheerful-looking face—a chubby old man. Though expressionless, with a seemingly cold and proud look, the tightness of his skin made him seem less fierce and more like a grandfather trying to act cool, like a retiree concentrating on a chess game in the park.

It was a look completely unlike any version of Madara from the original series.

Although Kei had heard from the White Zetsu that Madara had gained weight, he had only imagined it.

Now, at last, he had seen the "updated version" of Uchiha Madara for himself.

And it proved that human imagination really does have its limits.
