Ellie noticed how her friend was lost in thoughts and nudged her. Raising one of her brows, she asked, "What's the matter? Did Daniel say anything to you?"
"He is being strange," Emma muttered before shaking her head.
Then, her eyes fell on Jonathan. A smile came over her face, and Emma walked towards him. It got her great spirits to keep her composure, not letting a trace of her emotions leak for him to see.
"Hello there," she greeted, "I see you have a close relationship with Vanessa."
Upon hearing her name being mentioned, Vanessa turned her head. Jonathan's eyes met hers, and Vanessa grew flustered.
"Vanessa is a good friend of mine," Jonathan replied, "a reliable and gentle one. I want to take good care of her as well."
Emma's eyes curved up.
