Daniel didn't show up here in her previous life.
Although she tried to convince him to come to her cottage to rest, he was fervently against sharing the space with her alone, finding it to be inappropriate. In the end, Emma had an argument with him over it and went to rest alone on her own.
After that, she got schemed against. In the beginning, she tried to explain it to Daniel, but after noticing his lack of trust and compliance, out of irritation, Emma uttered, "What are you throwing that long face for? Remember, I bought you. Don't take yourself too seriously. I can sleep with whoever I want. Don't keep on irritating me."
That was enough to quieten Daniel. He didn't have any further questions before choosing to leave on his own. Following that, there was a period of silence between them, and unable to hold herself back— as always— she started clinging to him again.
