"Hah, no wonder you haven't died yet."
Du GuBo merely stares at him before launching poison straight into his body.
"Now you must prove yourself first." He crossed his arms as he watched Tang San collapse ont the ground, trying to calm down.
Back in the academy, the teachers of shrek academy had departed to search for Tang San.
Xiao Wu only stood there, constantly alert and waiting for Tang San to reappear.
"Xiao Wu, it's gonna be okay."Ying Xuan consoled her.
"Yeah, we must trust brother San." HongJun gave some words of comfort.
"Alright, let's get unpacking first. Everyone's already tired." Liu Yan said, promptly leaving to unpack his bed.
At around midnight, Ying Xuan stirred awake. She heard steps outside the the cabin ErLong had preparedfor then to stay for now.
She pulled her nightgown tightly and opened the door slowly, peeking out.
She saw Liu Yan sitting on a tree stump, so she hesitated slightly. Before heading over.
"LiYan, why are you still up?" She approached from behind.
Liu Yan was in deep in contemplation. The full moon was up, the garden around the cabins were beautiful.
He was, missing his old world. He missed his parents particularly.
"I wonder how they're doing now. Mom and Dad…" He created a crystal bracelet, tracing it. It was a replica of what his past world parents had.
He then thought back to his current world's parents. He was grateful. He had great parents. He promised himself, he would fix the mistakes of soul land but, that goal wasn't primary anymore.
The moment Ying Xuan called out to him, he snapped out of it and looked back, he smiled softly.
"Ying Ying, come on. Sit with me." He created a crystal coating on the tree stump, so that she could sit comfortably.
Plop
"Something… on your mind?" Liu Yan asked.
"Not really, it's just. You've been so distracted lately. You keep muttering to yourself." She was concerned for his well being.
"Heh, well. I guess I've been doing a lot of that." He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.
They both stared at the moon in silence, the wind blows silently by.
Rustles
"The moon is beautiful tonight, isn't it." Liu Yan suddenly said.
Her eyes softened, "yeah, yeah it is."
She felt safe with him, she was always alone back when she just transformed into a human. Xiao Wu and her family were great friends… but they never truly felt family to her.
Now, it was different. She had someone, someone who cared.
"LiYan, I just want you to know tha-" she turned her head to suddenly knocking into Liu Yan's head.
Her necklace made clinging sounds. It shimmered in the light of the moon.
"Ow!" They both said loudy, rubbing the hit spot.
"You okay?" Liu Yan leaned forward to check her forehead, a small bruise appeared.
He helped her massage it, not realising Ying Xuan's actual condition.
Her body got hotter, like it was steaming. He looked down and saw her blusing heavily, like a tomato.
They both looked at each other, their eyes locked. And for them, the world fell silent.
The sounds of the wind blowing, the smell of fresh flowers, it all gradually faded as they stared into each other's eyes.
"Ying Ying…"
"LiYan…"
They both called out each other's name softly, like they were trying to confirm this was real.
They both leaned in slowly, inch by inch.
Hesitation lasted for only a second before they moved in yet another inch.
Under the view of the moon, their shadows seemed to merge. They took each other's first kiss.
They broke apart moments later, staring into each others eyes.
Liu Yan reached out and held her hand, interwining their fingers. They had done this before, they always have. But now, it was different.
Then, faint noises were heard behind the walks of the cabin.
"How sweet~" Oscar and HongJun said.
Everyone was watching them.
Ying Xuan blushed, they were found out. But she just clung to him and laughed.
Liu Yan raised his fist, in a motion understood by his fellow male schoolmates "don't interrupt unless you want these hands!"
Oscar and HongJun ducked away. While MuBai shook his head slowly like he expected this, and walked off back to the cabin.
The next day, the three teachers, Grandmaster, Flender and Liu ErLong finaly came back. But Tang San didn't. They werr also badly injured.
Xiao Wu rushed forward to inquire the whereabouts of Xiao San.
"Grandmaster, where is my brother!" She was worrid sick, she had jot had any good sleep at all last night.
"Don't worry, Xiao Wu. Xiao San was taken by Poison Douluo. But he's alive"
"Poison Douluo, gave his word that he won't kill Xiao San." Grandmaster told them in between grunts and deep breaths.
"Stop slacking now, you have classes to attend. This is Shrek academy now." Flender ushered them.
"Wait what? Shrek academy? Isn't this place called Blue Tyrant academy?" HongJun said.
"Heh, I decided to rename this academy Shrek, as a way of gratitude to Boss Flender back then." ErLong said as she smiled at Flender.
Grandmaster saw this brief smile, and he internaly felt… kind of happy. He hoped for this, he had shattered her heart back then by running away.
If Flender were to be the one with her, he would be hapy for them. There's no one he could trust more than him.
"WOAHH! Dean Flender! You finally have a big school now!" HongJun said a bit too loudly.
"What do you mean NOW?! Are you saying you weren't satisfied with the academy grounds back then, you little-" HongJun ran as Flender chased him.
"These teachers and their disciples really do act like family." ErLong thought, Flender rarely acts like how he is acting now.
"AHHH! Help me, guys!" HongJun screamed.
