Her voice, like the most melodious music, reached his ears. He breathed a huge sigh of relief and suddenly burst into laughter, "Haha... You're willing to marry me… you really are? Alice, do you know how much I've longed to hear you say that?"
"Dorian Howards... if you like to hear it, I have a lifetime to say it to you," she replied.
"Good... good..." He laughed even more joyfully, the deep emotion in his eyes almost drowning her, "Alice, I love you."
His lips devoutly kissed her forehead.
She gently closed her eyes, letting the past be just that - past. From now on, she wanted to embrace happiness with him and face any storms together.
But... if possible, she hoped he would never know the truth from three years ago, never experience that kind of pain.
