Alice Conley knew very well that if Dorian Howards acted, Indigo Quigley's fate would be miserable, but she had no intention of sympathizing with Indigo. At the thought of nearly losing the child in her belly again, she felt an indescribable hatred towards Indigo Quigley.
But… she only harbored some resentment towards Indigo Quigley, so what about Dorian Howards' mother? Another former "culprit," what could she do about her?
Should she tell Dorian that his mother once harmed their child? If she really said that, it would only cause Dorian to suffer as well.
Alice Conley took a deep breath and asked, "Dorian Howards, do you truly want to marry me?"
His face tensed, then he replied with certainty, "Yes!" Just one word, but it was enough to show his determination.
"Then..." she hesitated for a moment, "No matter what happens in the future, will you stand by me and our child?"
"Yes." His answer was the same.
