Third person POV
"H-How?" Romana asked in shock upon seeing that the Otherworlder leader of the Forest Vamzoms.
"I can heal my wounds with an ability called Short-Term Survivor," Basilio responded while dusting his upper clothes.
The shot wounds were still damp with his own blood, but he is okay.
Some in his group ran to him and asked if he was okay.
Tej then came to him and asked the same question.
"Yes, yes, I am okay, guys," Basilio said to them.
After that, Paulina and Ormoc, being Basilio's older siblings, looked at Romana while being upset at her abuse of her position. "What is wrong with you?" Ormoc asked.
"You just hurt someone who was a visitor here!" Paulina added.
"Yeah! What the hell is wrong with you?" Katsuko shouted.
"You're abusing your power…" Benjamín added.
Romana was angry and upset as if she was being scolded by people who were mostly lower in terms of social status.
"That bastard friend of yours was disrespectful!" she snapped back.
"I was just being some sort of Good Samaritan to this boy!" Basilio responded back strongly and boldly.
The words Good Samaritan was known by Romana, and she had a bad look at it, viewing it as a 'commoner's trait'.
But she still couldn't believe that Basilio had a rare healing ability from the goddess of healing, Guarire.
"Why did Guarire-sama grant that ability to a nobody like this guy?" her mind asked with resentfulness.
But Basilio, Tej, and others cannot read her mind.
Because of all these, as well as the facts that Kamal was traditional in its traditional, oppressive societal norms and had a bad social environment that promotes inequality and discrimination of the weak, helpless, and vulnerable, Basilio decided to cancel his trade partnership deal with Kamal and divert their day in Kamal in exploring around Zemelja and its outskirts (they don't have enough time to go around Kamal's main island because tomorrow is school day for Katsuko, Kahraman, and Viviana). So, he announced that to his group, and Tej now knew what their purpose of their visit was here.
"Are you sure, Basilio-kun?" Chivo asked.
"Is that would be impactful to your country?" Benjamín added with some concern.
Basilio then nodded. "Yeah, this deal would not affect Ruslav's trade. Pantano is still with us, and Falleta would be instead potential for a new trade partnership."
Romana was shocked by what he had said, which would only come from someone who is either a country leader or someone under a country leader's circle. "W-What? You're a…"
Basilio then looked at her seriously and still upset at her outburst. "I'm the leader of the Forest Vamzoms and a country called Ruslav. I'm Basilio Valencia, an Otherworlder, and we're from the mainland."
Romana was shocked more, this time because she heard tales of Ruslav's existence from sailors and merchants, as well as from foreign visitors.
At first, she didn't believe this and dismissed it as fictional balonies. "I don't believe that bunch of balonies!"
But this was disproved when Basilio showed a couple of photos of Ruslav's existence in his phone.
Romana was dumbfounded and was in disbelief.
"No way…" her mind commented.
Putting his phone down, Basilio said, "Now you believe me?"
Romana then nodded slowly while being in defeat, but her pride was stubborn to leave her.
"Also…" Basilio added to her, "…we had decided to cancel our trade partnership with your country."
Romana was shocked, for the third time. "W-Why?"
"Because your country is rigidly traditional and had oppressive societal norms regarding treatment of people from different classes," Katsuko replied back.
Seeing that, Ormoc gathered his words and added, "Y-Yeah, we don't think it's worth our time to do trade with your country."
Ormoc's tone was brief and straight, but Romana found his response and Katsuko's response as insulting to her and her country.
"T-That's it!" Romana burst in anger. "I'll report this to my Highness for your disrespectfulness here!"
With that, she ran off to the palace to do so.
Tej watched this with awe on how Basilio and his group deal with her arrogance.
