Chapter 74 - Red Alert

"Kid, stop hesitating and tell me what the hell you are planning." Wakaba said, feeling very annoyed right now. If he could, he would fight with this brat for playing with his mind. Seriously, you either tell the damn thing or don't say the damn thing. Why the hell are you keeping me in suspense?

It's decided that after all this is over, he will definitely complain about this kid to Sera.

In Fairy Tail, if you want to bully the undefeatable Akira, then you need to seek support from someone with a high enough authority. And this person is none other than Sera, whom Akira would never disobey.

Although he would have to face Akira's retaliation later, Wakaba still thought it would be worth the trouble if he could see this bastard suffer.

Unfortunately for Wakaba, he had no idea that Akira could hear his rebellious thoughts, and he would soon face that retaliation before he even made a complaint.

Deciding to take special care of Wakaba later, Akira still opened his mouth and told Wakaba about the information network he had been secretly creating. He told Wakaba how he had a sister and the reason why he wanted to come to the Bureau of Magical Development to interrogate Brian about the Tower of Heaven.

He wisely kept the part about how rescuing Ultear and using her as a bargaining chip to make Ur join Fairy Tail, or the fact that he also wanted to find that demon Deliora for his future plans.

After some time of bullshit and truths, Akira was finally able to fool Wakaba temporarily. And with that, their conversation ended, and both of them went back to sleep. They didn't need someone to keep watch since Akira just used some Abyss runes to create a dome around them.

With this shield, unless that demon Deliora comes in person, no monster or people can disturb Akira and his team's sleep.

….

While at the same time, Akira and Wakaba went to sleep, and the guildhall, which was originally silent due to Makarov's earlier outburst, began to get more and more heated when everyone heard Makarov's words.

An SS-rank danger zone is no joke. It is said that in such zones, even people at the level of the Ten Great Saints may die. This has happened in the past. In the past, when the first SS-rank danger zone was discovered, a coalition force made up of many S-rank mages and one of the Ten Great Wizard Saints went inside this danger zone to eliminate the danger.

But at the end of the mission, more than 60% of wizards died. Among the casualties was the Ten Great Wizard Saint, who barely managed to eliminate the danger at the cost of his life.

From this alone, one could see how terrible an SS-level danger zone is. One could say the risk level is almost at the level of a hundred-year-old quest.

"Sera, bring Akira's communication crystal. Tell that boy to come back immediately. This time, his life is truly in danger. " Makarov said with a worried voice.

Sera nodded and wasted no time as she took out Akira's communication crystal from her storage ring. The crystal glowed as she imbued her magic power.

Then finally the figure of Akira appeared from the crystal.

"Hey Sera, what's the matter? " Akira's voice came through from the other side.

"Akira, where are you right now? " Sera asked, although she herself knew what the answer was. From the image inside the crystal ball, she could already see the white snow everywhere.

"Hmm, didn't you know? I'm on a mission in the Northern Plains." Akira asked with a puzzled expression.

"Akira, abandon this mission and come to the guild immediately. The council had defined the northern mountains as an SS-rank danger zone due to the sighting of Deliora. You have to come back to the guild at once. This demon is not something you can deal with, " Makrov shouted as he looked at Akira.

Hearing this, Akira was genuinely surprised. Wait, an SS-rank danger zone. As someone who had read most of the books in the guild library, Akira knew what an SS-rank danger zone is and what dangers it brings.

'And did something like this happen in the original work?' Akira thought as he tried to remember the details of the original timeline. As far as he remembers, the council didn't take any action for many months and let Deliora rampage all over the northern plain.

Akira estimates that the time should be at least 3 months in minimum. I mean, if we take into account that Gray's village was the first village to get destroyed and upto the point where Gray trained under Ur to be able to do magic, this much time is the minimum.

And this is only a rough estimation, taking into account that Gray's talent in ice magic is as monstrous as his. Or else this time frame should be more wider.

For a normal mage, learning new magic requires time. Especially if this is the first magic they are learning. At this time frame you need a great amount of time to drill the basics into yourselves.

And even Akira was no exception to this rule. He only managed to cheat his way out with the mountains of knowledge he learned during the last 400 years. Or else no matter how talented he is, he would still need to go through the basics to build the foundation.

Unless, of course, you managed to awaken your unique magic by yourself like Erza. This way your control over your magic is barely enough to consider yourself a novice wizard.

And as far as Akira knows, Gray didn't awaken his ice magic but instead learned it from Ur.

'Damn, it seems the butterfly effects are beginning to show already,' Akira thought grimly. Although he expected his arrival would create some ripples in this world, he didn't expect it would affect this timeline this early.

"Master, I'm sorry; this time I may have to disobey your order, " Akira said as a determined light flashed across his face.

Now that he knew the butterfly effects were already beginning, he needed to make sure everything is going smoothly personally.

"Oh, why? " Makarov, who was panicked, asked as his head began to calm down. He knew Akira would not disobey his orders without a good reason.

"Well, Master, we just accepted a mission to help a little girl reunite with her mother, so how could we abandon this mission just because of a demon? " Akira said as he looked sideways at Ultear, who was looking at them with a worried gaze.

Although Ultear may have looked like she was reluctant to meet with her mother as someone who can hear one's true thoughts, how could Akira not know how much this girl wanted to meet with her mother?

There was silence on Makrov's side. Everyone was silent, and all looked at Makarov. They didn't say anything and waited for their guild master to make the decision. Logically, Makarov should tell Akira to abandon this mission since his life is way more important. But as a human being, Makarov couldn't say this.

Makarov knew how much of an impact this might have on this girl if he said this. This incident may even become one of her nightmares in the future. In fact, this may even have an impact on Akira's future as a wizard.

Finally, after waiting for more than 5 minutes, Makarov finally spoke, " Sigh, remember to be careful. Run away immediately if you sense Deliora's presence. "

Hearing this, everyone had a small smile on their faces. Yes, this is their guild master. Although this may have seemed reckless and stupid, but this certainly is the style of Fairy Tail.

"Yes, master, wait for my good news, " Akira said as a grin spread across his face.

Finally, the crystal ball dimmed. And Makarov looked at Sera and spoke, " Sera, go and contact Gidarts, tell him to rush towards the Northern Plain. Akira would need all the help he could get. "

"Brats, I will be joining in on the expedition to subjugate Deliora, so who will join me? " Makarov looked at the guild members and asked loudly.

"Me, me, I will go, Master."

"Yeah, count us too, master. "

"Hahaha, we also want to go. "

"Yeah, how could we miss out on such a great opportunity? "

"Yeah, let's show that demon who is boss. "

As Makarov's words fell, the whole guild began to boil with excitement. None of them were scared because of Deliora. In fact, they were even a bit too excited. After all, this is a guild that beats their own companions for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So, how could they be afraid of a demon?

And besides, when their companion needs their help, they even fight against Acnologia. And compared to that dragon, this demon is nothing special.

"Then, brats, let's get moving. Let's teach that demon not to mess with Fairy Tail. " Makarov shouted.

"OHHHHHH"

And with the loud cheers that shook the whole guild, everyone stepped outside and rushed towards the train station.

While the people of Magnolia wondered what type of mess Fairy Tail is going to make, the spies on the council side were sweating profusely and frantically relaying messages like, ' Red Alert! Red Alert! Fairy Tail has mobilized all its forces,' to their superiors.
