Chapter 73 - Akira the trouble magnet

In Fairy Tail the guild was as noisy as ever. The first floor was packed with guild members drinking and chatting happily. It was nothing special. But that was until a loud roar was heard all across,

"What? Where did you say those two went?" Makarov's loud voice rang in the guild, making the entire hall quiet.

His eyes were wide open, and his whole body was trembling as he looked at Cornelia.

Cornelia gulped and repeated her words, "well master both Akira and Wakaba went on a mission in the northern mountains. "

"Damn it, when did those two leave? And didn't I forbid Akira from taking any quests without my permission?" Makarov asked as he started to panic.

"Hey, master, what's the matter?" Hearing the commotion Macao and the others asked as they rushed over.

"That damn brat Akira, he went on a mission on the northern plane," Makarov said with distress.

"But didn't Cornelia say Wakaba also went with him? I'm sure with his supervision everything would be fine. " Macao said with a puzzled look. 'And master, your overprotectiveness of Akira is a bit too much,' he added inwardly. Although Makarov has always been a bit protective of younger members, his protectiveness for Akira is a bit too much.

But even so, no one could blame Makarov for this. That kid Akira is really a trouble magnet. Every time he goes out on a mission, something crazy happens. Up till now Akira had never gone on a normal mission where nothing unexpected happened.

"Wait, Master, could it be…" Suddenly Macao realized something as he looked at Makarov in horror.

"Yes, that boy's bad luck had happened again. The place where Akira and Wakaba are going right now is now classified as an SS-level danger zone. And this is because the council had found the existence of one of the demons in the book of Zeref Deliora in the northern plane. " Makarov said with a grave tone.

'Well, shit,' everyone thought as their expressions also turned grave. This time Akira and Wakaba may actually be in some serious danger.

Dealing with a demon is no small matter. Especially if this demon is part of the Book of Zeref. The presence of such a demon alone made this quest an S-rank job.

And Akira and Wakaba are nowhere near strong enough to complete an S-rank quest.

"Master, we need to warn them now," Macao and the others shouted as they all looked at Makarov.

…..

Now that they had decided on their next destination, everyone went back to sleep to get some rest for tomorrow's journey. Well, not really; the only one who really went back to sleep was Ultear, as both Akira and Wakaba walked away from the camp to have a small discussion.

"Alright, kid, fess up. What is really going on here?" Wakaba said as he looked at Akira with a serious gaze. Since the start of this mission, Wakaba has felt strange. The coincidences they had were too obvious. First, this mission, at first glance, this mission is just like any ordinary herb-gathering quest, but upon looking closely at this, you would find that for this mission, you would need to go deeper into the northern mountains.

Usually, such missions don't really come to guilds like Fairy Tail, as completing such missions requires a great deal of experience. So such quests usually go to local guilds.

So here comes the question: why would Summon give out a quest to a guild that far away from the Northern Lands? Even if Fairy Tail is famous for such missions, they are clearly not suitable.

But what made Wakaba suspicious was the way Akira acted. When they arrived near the northern plains, he acted very suspiciously. The way he rushed towards the Bureau of Magical Development is very suspicious. It was as if he knew something was happening.

And lastly, that girl. That girl is like a bundle of talent. If Wakaba had to compare her to someone, then he would definitely point at Laxus. Laxus, as the grandson of Master Makarov, inherited his great magic power. So if we go by this theory, the parents of this girl should not be normal people. Most probably they might be a powerful wizard.

And most importantly, Akira seems to be very familiar with her. And knowing this kid, anything he is interested in cannot be simple.

And also when they set foot into this northern plane, Wakaba began to feel an ominous premonition. And Wakaba knew better than anyone not to overlook his instincts.

"Well, Wakaba, truth be told, I have no idea what you are…" Akira's words were cut mid-sentence as Wakaba interrupted him.

" Kid, don't try to lie this time. We have known each other for some time, and I know when you lie, " Wakaba said as he glared at Akira.

" Tsk, " seeing this, Akira clicked his tongue in annoyance. He didn't know why, but every time he tried to lie to someone in the guild, they would immediately recognize it. Even his unique skill couldn't find out why this is happening.

Thankfully, this phenomenon is only happening to those who are close to him. Or else Akira would really want to cry.

Wouldn't this basically make one of his illusion magics useless if he couldn't lie? Wouldn't he be unable to make his enemies fear despair with his words alone? Wouldn't his dream of being as cool as Aizen be thrown down the drain?

Yes, Akira is a huge Aizen fan. If you hadn't already noticed, his first self-learned magic was Kyōka Suigetsu, the most broken illusion magic. And the way he used his magic is quite similar to what Aizen did.

In fact, if not for the fact that his main mission is to kill a god, the character template he would choose is definitely Aizen. But unfortunately, Aizen has never been shown the ability to kill a god. Even in the thousand-blood war, he was only able to fool Yhwach's Almighty while Ichigo dealt the killing strike.

And since Akira didn't have anyone like that for support, he had to give up his dream of being Aizen. After all, practicality comes over desires.

"Do you really want to hear the truth?" Akira asked as he looked at Wakaba seriously. Since Wakaba had already asked, there is no point in hiding it.

But is Akira going to tell him the whole truth? Of course not. This is not his style. Since he cannot lie, he might as well keep some details hidden for now. After all, if Wakaba knew the whole plan, he might really fight with him over this.

After all, what he is about to do is definitely not something a fairy tail mage should do.
