Najeer gazed into her eyes. They were black as night without a spark of light, nothing. Like a bottomless abyss, empty and souless.
That revealed more than enough about the kind of person she was.
If Heler hadn't called for him tonight, she would have caused more trouble than he could ever fix.
He had witnessed it. She was someone who could hide in thin air and attack faster than his vision could catch. If they had met under different conditions, things could have played out a lot differently.
He studied the way she fought. She could travel through light and reflections. In every sense, if she had gotten away today, she would be practically unstoppable. Even if he did catch her eventually... many would have lost their lives.
He had never truly felt fear before... but standing right in front of her, he was starting to understand why people hated that feeling. So much destruction this one creature was capable of.
Valyha peeled one eyes open to see she was still alive.
She breathed out in relief clenching her chest. He could hear her heart beat slowing down to normal.
Very odd, he found it difficult to decipher what type of human she was. Fae, Jinn, Shifter?
No, she wasn't any of those?
The last thing he needed right now was a human who was unidentifiable. It complicated his ability to link her to a Gate.
Commander Heler watched from the sidelines, recognizing what spell the Emperor had casted. It was a restraiment spell for evil spirits. Only the Emperor knew how to manipulate such magic. He had only heard him use it once, against an immortal overpowered Tormentor. But never had they seen the Emperor use magic that required this level of dark energy. Heler knew that his Majesty must have noticed something, to have acted as quick as that.
Valyha slowly got up with a scowl as she dusted the wetness with her hands, long dramatic nails accidentally clinging on to a bead in her dress. She seemed to be struggling freeing her nails from the thread.
Najeers thought to himself as he bent his head ever so slightly to the side.
"What did you do to me?" She asked as she finally got her hand unstuck. She could finally face them in her full glory.
Valyha could feel a shudder as she glanced toward the white haired man. There was this coldness in his eyes towards her that made even her heart shiver. Of course she wouldn't normally be intimidated by such a thing. But... even she had her feelings, somewhere.
It felt like he had already judged her three times already. And his verdict wasn't good. His face was unreadable, but somehow she could tell one thing.
He loathed her.
Usually it was her doing the condescending. So It felt weird. Icky being in this position.
She discreetly spread her palm to summon her sword. It wouldn't hurt to try to kill these bastards again. This time she'd aim specifically for the one with the red eyes. She wasn't going down without a fight.
However, as she waited for her weapon to appear in her hands. Nothing came.
With her hand stretched out there in awkward silence, she realized. Her powers.
They were gone.
"My," Valyha states with a smile. A cold smile that didn't reach the heart.
Fighting was out of every option.
And It seems, not dying as well.
She lightly balanced her glasses on her face and placed a hand on her waist maintaining her dead smile. "..My, my." She was screwed. "Can anyone show this old lady the way out, children?"
Najeer silently turned to Heler.
Heler understood the command and moved without question. In seconds, Valyha was knocked back to her knees, then Commander Heler, swiftly peeled the balaclava from her head, causing her spectacles to drop to the floor. It revealed bouncing long lucious pink curls of hair spilling out from underneath.
Valyha screamed as Heler took a fist full of her hair pulling her head back aggressively, forcing her to look up at his Emperor.
Valyha sucked in a deep breath, uncomfortable in this kneeling position. She hated kneeling, especially to people. Much less the white haired demon with red eyes glaring down at her.
Nothing broke Valyha more than Kneeling before a demon. Truly ridiculing. This had to be one of those moments, something magical would suddenly appear and stop her from suffering any further, from shame.
But alas there was no magical moment saving her.
"You should have killed me." Valyha said with a glare. "I would have never spared your life. Demon."
"Who says, I will spare yours" Najeer said in a cold voice. "But, If you tell me what you are, I may reconsider."
