Chapter 18 - Bit of a pickle

Valyha's thick long lashes blinked.

What just happened.

She looked around and then back at the men who were staring at her like they were seeing her for the first time.

A palm covered Valyha's lips as she realized what had just happened. Tears burned her eyes. Those demons she killed, they were still alive. All her hardwork wasted.

Suddenly an aura very powerful lined up before her. White hair spotted her vision as her eyes widened, facing the man who was bent on one knee staring at her with red cold dead eyes.

Then it hit Valyha. This very man had been silent the entire time.

"You?..." She pointed.

As Valyha looked into his eye she could tell that he remembered.

He was the cause...

"You may just be the most dangerous creature I have ever encountered," his cold voice said for the first time with a raspyness in his voice.

Valyha could feel her bone chill. As he spoke. So much coldness and darkness. Truly a demon this one was. The most demonic of them all.

She recalled, in the beginning of her killing spree, she never did murder the white haired man. He vanished from the room like he was never there. At the time she didn't think it would be too important so she ignored it forgetting him.

"You turned back time?" Valyha's eyes widened as she fought the shiver in her body. She had no clue that demons who could bend time existed. Perhaps she came to the wrong place after all.

No wonder it was so easy. There were probably no Talisman because of him. He was more protection than any talisman.

She had seen magic that could split the seas. But she had never seen nor thought it was possible for creature to control time. It shouldn't even be possible.

And she was stuck here in this world... With him.

In that case she was in a bit of a pickle.

The white haired man leaned in like he was inspecting her as he took a hold of her arm. "What is your name?"

"Let my hand go!" Valyha commanded in an authoritative tone. As she tried to pull her arm away but his grip didn't budge. In the slightest.

He was far stronger.

Maybe she was in more than a pickle.

The white haired man furrowed his eyebrows. "Ill'kh diej seqev Guiiley sisjev seh.." seemingly upset by her actions.

Valyha's seventh sense didn't understand his language.

"I said let me go. Do you know who I am!" She didn't give up

"Kheeri Nela hei,"

Oh. Valyha's eye's widened as she finally understood the situation.

He was casting a spell on her. Most likely a death spell.

Dark fog began swirling around them and she could feel her fingertips get warm, hot. No. Now it was burning!

Enough to make her scream. She but down her tongue to supress the voice from coming out.

Screaming was weakness. She couldn't appear weak in front of Demons. How would her soul move on after she died?

She took in a deep breath already accepting her fate. She had a good run.

she knew, she was screwed.

Her eyelids closed.

It wasn't her fault. She did everything right. She only woke up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Pure badluck.

"Hej jiara khher..."

Before she knew it, it was all over.

His hand quickly separated from her own like she was a disease.

Valyha peeled one eye open. Meeting the metallic walls once again, she breathed out in relief as she clenched her chest.

"Oh thank word I'm alive," she breathed out frantically as she felt the sweat on her forehead. Her life had flashed before her very eyes.

She realized, she was too good for this world. Too good. Too good to die.

She had never died before so that was terrifying. Was that how the people she had put on death row felt? It was not a good feeling.

"What did you do to me?" Valyha glared at the man who had stood back up to his former glory. He was a very tall.

The white haired man stared back at her silent like she was a speck of dirt on the floor. But in his eyes there was more to it. Disgust... repulsion.

Everybody else but Valyha knew what had happened to her.
