Chapter 834

"Ron, over here!"

Wendy caught sight of Ron and waved energetically from a distance.

"Wendy, long time no see."

"Long time no see!"

Wendy hesitated, as though unsure how to begin.

"Get in first. We can talk in the car."

"Okay."

Ron climbed into the passenger seat. The engine roared, and the car's speed steadily increased.

Ron studied Wendy. Compared to before, she had grown significantly. She was no longer a little girl, yet traces of youthful freshness still clung to her presence.

"Ron, do you want Rosgell's body for yourself, or was someone asking you to obtain it?"

"For myself."

"For yourself?" Wendy froze, clearly surprised by his answer.

"Really?"

"Of course it's true." Ron smiled.

"Wendy, you don't really think I came all this way to Fiora just for Minpo, trading for Rosgell's remaining parts?" Ron's tone held a slight amusement. "It's natural you'd suspect that—after all, Rosgell's connection with Fiora and Minpo is extremely complex. And I just left Minpo myself. But I'm not doing this for others. I'm doing it for me. What I take, I use myself."

Wendy's confusion deepened.

"Use it yourself?"

Ron made no attempt to disguise the truth; he spoke plainly. Given Fiora's circumstances, if his stated reason for taking Rosgell's part carried even a hint of suspicion, the deal would never be approved. And Ron was confident he could meet conditions acceptable to Fiora.

In terms of Dark Continent intelligence, Fiora did not currently know more than Ron—especially concerning Rosgell's Reverse Word data. Fiora had S‑rank Nen users, and some who had visited the Dark Continent. They also had items brought back from the Dark Continent.

But before Rosgell, no one had entered Reverse Word. After Rosgell, maybe someone had, maybe not. Still, Rosgell's data remained extraordinarily valuable.

Ron believed this would attract Fiora's interest.

Furthermore, Ron possessed the video of Netero's fight against the King Ant—an irreplaceable record. That battle, in relation to Dark Continent studies, was already a strong supplement. After all, Chimera Ants had origins tied to the Dark Continent, and Oster's biological experiments had foundations in Dark Continent science.

"Previously, I accidentally came across a group from Minpo. I discovered one of their secrets. To keep it hidden, they attempted to kill me. I had no choice but to counterattack. From them I obtained something."

"Rosgell's headless corpse is no longer just a corpse—it has been converted into something like a Nen tool. I need to restore Rosgell's body so that the tool can become stronger."

Wendy's eyes widened, and she instinctively stomped on the brake. The car jolted. Vehicles beside and behind them were affected. Heads poked out, ready to shout, but when they saw the car's emblem, they quickly withdrew. The Dragon Dojo was not a name many dared to offend—even in Fiora's capital.

"So Rosgell's corpse was turned into a Nen tool, and you obtained it…" Wendy's voice trembled. "Now you come to Fiora wanting the remaining parts to complete the tool?"

Wendy took some time to absorb the revelation.

"Rosgell was a hero of Minpo. To think he would be made into a Nen tool…"

Her emotions were complex. Even though Rosgell had been more of a rival to Fiora than a friend, Wendy still held respect for such a powerful being.

"Ron, just how strong is this Nen tool?"

"Somewhat weaker than Rosgell before he died."

"Weaker… just somewhat?" Wendy's eyes narrowed.

"Has this Nen tool… reached S-rank?" Wendy's thought leapt. She had long been at A-rank; she knew Ron was also far above A-rank. Rosgell before must have been uncontestably S-rank—or else he would never have become a hero of a V-level nation.

Ron's tone could not imply he remained at A-rank.

Ron nodded.

Wendy's pupils constricted in shock.

"A Nen tool of S-rank…"

"Ron, we're good friends—so I'll just say this plainly. If it were any other Nen tool, that might be acceptable. But this is Rosgell's body. Bringing it into Fiora… that feels inappropriate."

Wendy knew that Fiora was far from benevolent. A Nen tool of S-rank would certainly tempt many. But did Ron have the strength to protect such a treasure? The Zoldyck family was indeed the world's top assassin family, but it could not compare fully with Fiora. Within the entire Zoldyck family there was only one S-rank Nen user. Fiora had more than one.

"Wendy, thank you—don't worry. I came because I have confidence. And I appreciate you—even though you are of Fiora, you are still considering me."

Wendy shook her head.

"We are friends. If Fiora really does something unjust, I don't want you to be wronged. I don't want Fiora to do that."

"Ron, this confidence you speak of—what is it?"

Ron answered calmly, "I'm already S-rank."

Wendy's eyes widened in disbelief. It wasn't that she didn't trust Ron—but hearing that shocked her deeply. Their ages were similar. Wendy had only recently considered S-rank as an unreachable dream. Now Ron claimed to have attained it.

How was that possible? How great was the disparity in talent? Wendy had known Ron's gift surpassed hers, but this went beyond talent. This was a difference of scale.

"Really?"

Ron's focus shifted. A wave of aura expanded outward from him.

Wendy felt it. It was akin to the aura she had sensed on that senior S-rank Nen user at Dragon Dojo.

Indeed—this aura level could only belong to S-rank.

For a moment, Wendy's emotions surged in confusion and awe.
