Chapter 835

----------------------

As a friend, Wendy was genuinely happy to see how powerful Ron had become—and how quickly his strength had advanced. But when she thought of herself, a different feeling surfaced. Back then, the two of them could still fight side by side. But now, they were no longer in the same league. The gap between them had grown immense.

Still, Wendy now understood where Ron's confidence came from. A young S-Class Nen user like him was not someone anyone would want to provoke—not even the V5.

It was just like Ging Freecss. No matter which major nation you were talking about, none would take the initiative to go after Ging. If they were to strike, they would have to go all in and eliminate him in one move.

Because if they failed, and he escaped, then the consequences of his revenge would be extremely troublesome.

One person alone might not threaten a nation—but an S-Class Nen user could accomplish far too much. Family, friends, students… anyone with connections in the human world inevitably had ties to society. And wherever there were social ties, there was room to be threatened. That was why most people still followed certain rules when acting. Otherwise, human nature by itself couldn't restrain anyone.

Given Ron's current strength—and the fact that Fiora didn't fully understand his capabilities—it made no sense that they would act against him just for the sake of Rosgell's remains. That would be irrational. In contrast, making a deal with Ron clearly offered more benefits.

They had arrived at the Dragon Dojo. Wendy pulled the car into the adjacent lot and parked. The two of them got out.

"Ron, I'll take you to see Uncle Dominica first."

"Alright."

They didn't even need to leave the parking area—Dominica was already there waiting. Ron looked at him. Compared to a few years ago, Dominica hadn't changed much. But Ron had changed drastically.

"Ron, it's been a long time."

"Dominica-senpai."

Dominica looked like he wanted to say more, but Wendy cut in.

"Uncle Dominica, let's talk in the study."

"Alright."

The three of them headed toward Dominica's study.

"What?" In the study, Dominica suddenly stood up, a look of disbelief on his face. At that moment, Ron quietly released a wave of S-Class Nen pressure. Dominica's expression turned complicated.

Just a few years ago, Ron had been a junior who needed his guidance. But now, Ron's strength had far surpassed his own—and had even reached a level he would never reach in this lifetime.

Wendy then explained the matter regarding Rosgell.

"Rosgell was turned into a Nen tool by the people of Minpo?"

"Only the corpse."

"Even so…" Dominica let out a long sigh. "Rosgell was a hero to Minpo. Without him, there would be no Minpo. And yet, those very people turned him into a Nen tool. It's hard not to feel that something's wrong with that."

Dominica felt it was unworthy of Rosgell. But the truth was, Rosgell himself wouldn't have minded. He was idealistic—and for the sake of his ideals, he was willing to give up everything. Even turning his own consciousness into a puppet wasn't off-limits.

He never considered the possibility of resurrection, even though his awareness still existed and revival might have been possible. Rosgell had believed that his surviving consciousness no longer represented him—that it was now something else entirely.

"So, Ron, you want to make a deal with Fiora to recover Rosgell's arm and thigh from their possession?"

"Yes."

"Then what can you offer?" Dominica asked. "Fiora won't agree to any ordinary conditions."

"I can offer intelligence on the Dark Continent in exchange."

"The Dark Continent?" Dominica raised an eyebrow. "You mean intel from Senior Maha? That's certainly valuable—but not enough. Much of what Senior Maha knows, Fiora already has access to."

"It's not just what my 2nd great-grandfather knows. There's more."

"More? Like what?"

"Information Rosgell himself possessed about the Dark Continent."

Dominica's pupils contracted. "Impossible. How could Rosgell's intel end up in your hands? He's been dead for a very long time."

Suddenly, a possibility crossed Dominica's mind.

"Did Rosgell's memories revive through the Nen tool?"

"No," Ron shook his head. "The tool has no consciousness left. Besides, it doesn't even have a head, so it couldn't possibly retain Rosgell's memories from when he was alive. I obtained the information through other means."

Dominica fell silent for a few moments.

"Alright. I'll report this up the chain. Barring any surprises, you should get a reply by tomorrow. For now, Ron, stay here at the Dragon Dojo."

"Understood."

Dominica left, carrying two pieces of major news.

Wendy turned to Ron. "Ron, what does it feel like… reaching S-Class?"

"You become stronger."

".... Obviously!! But how much stronger?"

"I guess quite a lot." Ron chuckled. "Once you ascend to S-Class, your aura capacity, physical body, and mental strength all undergo a significant leap. It's a completely different concept from A-Class. And you also gain a new Nen ability—one that's far more compatible and powerful than what you had when you first learned Nen."

"Still, even S-Class users don't transcend humanity. If enough A-Class users with strong enough abilities join forces, they can defeat—or even kill—an S-Class user."

Ron was stating a simple fact. S-Class Nen users were still within the realm of human capability. For example, Neferpitou was incredibly powerful, yet even when Ron was still at A-Class, he could use the sheer number of his Nen beasts to hold her back.

The ceiling for Nen ability was very high.

"Ron, would you spar with me?"

"Sure."

"Great! Let's go to the arena, then." Wendy's eyes lit up.

.

They headed to the arena—a secluded space with no one else around. The two of them stood across from each other.

Wendy looked at Ron. "I'm coming."

"Go ahead."

The next moment, Wendy raised her hand. A whirlwind appeared out of nowhere, sweeping toward Ron's position. At the same time, dozens of wind blades formed beside her.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Sharp gusts tore through the air.

Ron stood his ground, not moving an inch. A layer of aura wrapped around his body. Even as the windstorm and blades slammed into him, he remained completely unshaken.
