The first thing Sheila noticed upon entering the control chamber was that the room had changed again.
The central control board remained illuminated, its embedded crystals and regulating inscriptions glowing with the steady Myst supply established earlier that evening. The restored mechanisms continued their quiet operation, and the chamber's original lanterns provided clear light throughout the room.
But surrounding the control board were far more magical projections than Sheila remembered.
She stopped just inside the doorway.
Translucent images hovered above several newly activated projection surfaces, each displaying a different portion of Veyrhold.
Some were arranged beside the four district views she had seen earlier. Others occupied smaller positions around the control board, their faintly illuminated frames suspended through carefully regulated Myst.
She counted quickly.
There were at least fifteen.
'Those certainly weren't here before.'
Edith stepped beside her.
