Chapter 32 - The Viser‎

[Xefer's POV]

‎

‎The inn's door closed behind them, muffling the sounds of the town. Kiruko walked with a quiet confidence, her satchel bouncing lightly against her hip, her eyes glowing with determination after claiming the Fortress Fortress Fruit.

‎

‎Xefer watched her for a moment, a soft smile crossing his face. She was different now. Lighter. Stronger. The fruit had awakened something in her — not just power, but purpose.

‎

‎He broke the silence, his voice calm but warm. "Pack up."

‎

‎The girls froze, blinking in surprise. Keala tilted her head, her flames flickering faintly. "Pack up? Already?"

‎

‎Xefer nodded. "Yes. We're leaving this town. Our journey doesn't pause here. And besides…" His smile widened faintly. "We have a new ship waiting."

‎

‎Keeva's eyes sparkled. "A ship? You mean—"

‎

‎Kunai's crimson gaze narrowed, her aura shimmering faintly. "You've already arranged it, haven't you?"

‎

‎Xefer didn't answer directly. He simply leaned against the wall, his expression unreadable, though inside his chest was filled with quiet joy. The system's words still echoed in his mind: Mystic Ship obtained. Self-controlled vessel with advanced facilities and AI-like defense system.

‎

‎Kiruko clutched her book, her voice soft but curious. "A ship… for all of us?"

‎

‎Xefer's eyes met hers. "Yes. For all of us. For the family we're building."

‎

‎The girls exchanged glances, their excitement bubbling. Keala laughed, her flames dancing. "Then let's pack quickly."

‎

‎Keeva grinned, already gathering her bags. "I want to see it."

‎

‎Kunai smirked, her aura flickering. "Finally, a ship worthy of us."

‎

‎Kiruko hesitated, then smiled faintly. "I'll help."

‎

‎---

‎

‎[Keala's POV]

‎

‎They moved swiftly, gathering their belongings, folding clothes, securing weapons. Kiruko packed her new outfits, her satchel, her book of medicine. For the first time, she felt like she belonged — like she was preparing not for survival alone, but for a journey with people who wanted her by their side.

‎

‎Keala watched her, a warmth spreading through her chest. "How are you feeling?"

‎

‎Kiruko looked up, her eyes bright. "I'm… I'm excited. I've never had this before. A family."

‎

‎Keala smiled, stepping closer. "You have us now. And we're not going anywhere."

‎

‎Keeva appeared at Kiruko's other side, her grin playful. "You're stuck with us."

‎

‎Kunai's voice came from the doorway. "Forever."

‎

‎Kiruko's eyes glistened. "Thank you."

‎

‎---

‎

‎[Xefer's POV]

‎

‎Xefer watched them quietly, his grin faint but satisfied. He didn't rush them. He simply observed, his mind already picturing the vessel that awaited. The Viser. A name he had chosen in his heart — a ship that would carry them across the seas, through storms and battles, toward the destiny he had glimpsed.

‎

‎When they were ready, they stepped out of the inn together. The town's streets were quiet, lanterns glowing faintly in the night. Xefer led them toward the docks, his steps steady, his heart light.

‎

‎And then they saw it.

‎

‎The Viser.

‎

‎It towered above the other vessels, its hull gleaming with polished wood, its sails marked with intricate patterns. Lanterns lined its deck, casting a soft glow across the water. It was larger than any ship they had seen, yet elegant, its design both practical and beautiful.

‎

‎Keala gasped, her flames flickering wildly. "It's… incredible."

‎

‎Keeva's grin widened, her eyes sparkling. "This is ours?"

‎

‎Kunai's crimson eyes narrowed, her aura shimmering. "It feels alive."

‎

‎Kiruko clutched her satchel, her lips parting. "It's… perfect."

‎

‎Xefer stepped forward, his voice warm. "Yes. This is our ship. Our home. Our fortress on the sea. From now on, it will be known as The Viser."

‎

‎---

‎

‎[Kiruko's POV]

‎

‎They stepped onto the deck, their footsteps echoing against the polished wood. The ship seemed to respond, its lanterns glowing brighter, its sails shifting slightly as if acknowledging their presence.

‎

‎Inside, they found spacious rooms, soft beds, a kitchen stocked with supplies, training halls, bathing chambers. Every facility they could need was there, waiting.

‎

‎Keala laughed, spinning in the hallway. "I could live here forever."

‎

‎Keeva flopped onto one of the beds, her grin wide. "Finally, something soft."

‎

‎Kunai inspected the training hall, her aura shimmering faintly. "This will do."

‎

‎Kiruko walked slowly through the chambers, her fingers brushing against the walls. "It feels… safe."

‎

‎Xefer followed them, his smile soft but satisfied. He didn't need to say much. The ship spoke for itself.

‎

‎---

‎

‎[Xefer's POV]

‎

‎Later, as they gathered on the deck, Kiruko stepped forward. Her voice trembled, but her resolve was clear. "Thank you. For trusting me. For giving me the fruit. For giving me a place here."

‎

‎The girls surrounded her, their laughter warm. Keala hugged her tightly, Keeva kissed her cheek, and Kunai placed a hand on her shoulder.

‎

‎"You're one of us now," Keala whispered.

‎

‎"You're family," Keeva added.

‎

‎"And you'll never stand alone again," Kunai finished.

‎

‎Kiruko's eyes shone with gratitude. "I'll protect you. I'll heal you. I'll make sure none of you fall."

‎

‎Xefer's expression softened. "Good. That's all I ask."

‎

‎He crossed to her, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "You have strength now. But more than that, you have us. Never forget that."

‎

‎Kiruko nodded, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I won't."

‎

‎Xefer pulled her into a warm embrace. Kiruko melted into him, her heart full.

‎

‎---

‎

‎[Xefer's POV]

‎

‎The night air was calm, the sea stretching endlessly beyond the docks. The Viser swayed gently, its presence steady, its promise clear.

‎

‎Xefer stood at the bow, his smile faint but filled with quiet joy. Inside, he felt it — the satisfaction of progress, the warmth of family, the anticipation of the journey ahead.

‎

‎Keala appeared beside him, her hand finding his. "You're happy."

‎

‎Xefer squeezed her hand. "I am."

‎

‎Keeva joined them, leaning against his other side. "This is just the beginning, isn't it?"

‎

‎Xefer nodded. "Just the beginning."

‎

‎Kunai appeared behind him, her voice soft. "Where do we go next?"

‎

‎Xefer's smile widened. "Raijin Island. A place of storms. A place of power. A place where we'll build our future."
