Urag left zero room for breath, let alone an answer.
Before Karl could draw another panicked, manic breath, Urag entered her room and crossed the space between them with terrifying speed.
His massive hand locked around Karl's neck, cutting off the rest of his unhinged warning in a single, crushing grip.
"Told you..." Urag growled, his voice dropping into a dark, lethal hum as he leaned in close to Karl's ear. "...she doesn't need to know."
Karl's eyes bulged, his hands clawing desperately at Urag's unyielding forearm as he choked out a frantic argument, his voice straining against the grip crushing his windpipe.
"You shouldn't... you shouldn't have caused chaos in the first place!" Karl gasped, spitting blood and defiance even as he dangled by his throat. "Now the entire kingdom will head here! You've doomed us all !"
