Eiravyne's fingers trembled slightly as they reached upward, sliding along the warm expanse of his chest until her palms rested gently against his jaw.
She opened her eyes.
She looked at him. Really looked at him.
She drank in every detail ,the sharp, carved lines of his face, the wild snow hair falling across his brow, the fierce, unyielding violet light burning in his eyes, the straight bridge of his nose, the firm curve of his lips, and the radiating, undeniable heat of his skin beneath her fingertips.
She traced the familiar contours of his face, her gaze lingering for far, far too long, absorbing every ounce of the reality she had nearly lost forever.
Then, her voice dropped into a soft, breathless whisper .
"Urag...continue"
Urag didn't speak. He simply held her gaze, his chest tightening .
He gave a slow, deliberate nod of his head, acknowledging every unspoken fear, every barrier she had just torn down.
Before he moved back to her face, his hands rose over hers.
