A/N: I've found a relatively safe and healthy schedule for releasing new chapters, and that is 1 chapter/week, hopefully that continues on (Unless I get bit in the ass by my Thesis). Anyway, if I ever have extra chapters, I'll let ya'll know so that we can do Powerstone goals if we can even do that, anyway, enjoy.

"Another Useful Feature, so this was the one responsible for the combining of Minor Venom Resistance" As I was about to scroll down some more, I heard a sound again-
*Grumble*
It was my stomach, my stomach was crying to be filled with nutritional values, so I just put completing the reading of the
I have a simple mantra when it comes to problems in my life: it goes through a step-by-step process like this:
"You got problem? No? Why worry?
There is problem? Can you do something about it?, If yes then why worry?
If not then why also worry?, tis inevitable anyway"
Only the unsolvable ones get thrown in the back of the brain, and let time pass till I either forget about it or resolves by itslef, after all, nothing beat the power of time.
I go towards the cooked Centi-Queen, using one claw to get in between its plates, and like a professional chef, I slice it open to reveal hot and yummy food
*Sniiiiiiffffffff* "Haaaaaaaaa"
"You were right, Luc, it is my essence making it tasty" I chow down gleefully
[You're welcome], she replied
*Nom* *slurp* *lick*
I planned to eat until I was full, but just when I gulped the meat in my mouth down my esophagus, the system notification chimed.
*Ding

[Skill: Skin Grafting (Tier III)]

"I can gain skills this easily by eating other Kaiju's?!!!" The revelation dawned on me like God giving me Divine Knowledge
[Well, it was one of the system features. Give me a sec, let me fetch it for you] she chimes
"Ok", Damn, there are so many System Features
[…done…]
—----------------------------------------------
[Extraction Protocol] {Temporarily Boosted}
-Analyses consumed biological matter and converts viable components into usable outputs. Upon consumption of food, the system scans the items and energy signatures to extract transferable properties.
Possible Acquisitions:
Skills: Fully compatible abilities converted into usable skills
(Boost Duration: 01:04:01:15:09:07)
(1 Month, 3 weeks, 1 day, 15 hours, 9 minutes, 7 seconds)
—----------------------------------------------
[Such an occurrence is highly unlikely without the assistance of a skill. However, Skill Acquisition is an innate ability that allows one to obtain the skills of consumed prey. Since you are still young—and this applies to all juvenile kaiju and monsters—you possess a naturally higher likelihood of inheriting the abilities of what you consume.
In your particular case, that probability is elevated to an extraordinary degree. Even without the System temporarily amplifying it, your chances far exceed those of an ordinary monster offspring, surpassing them many times over. Consider this not a coincidence, but a boon granted to your reincarnation.]
"Skill Acquisition based on what we eat, huh?..Like with the Electro-variants of the leafwings?"
[Exactly!]
"So about the new skill I just acquired, what does it do exactly?" The skill details immediately opened

[Skin Grafting] (Tier III)
Description: A specialised biological process that uses foreign materials (Monster/Kaiju Skin/carapace, etc.) and transforms them into hardened layers of grafted tissue over injuries, acting as both armour and a regenerative patch. These grafts protect the user's body from further harm while facilitating accelerated healing beneath. As recovery completes, the graft can be peeled away safely.
Skill Origin: Patchwork Centipede Queen.
Activation Cost: 35 Energy per graft.
Effect Range: Contact range (self or nearby ally).
Activation Word: Graft
Special Effects:
Reinforced Recovery: Grafted areas heal 50% faster while the layer remains active and heals simple tissue lost from injuries.
Tissue Buffer: Generates a protective organic layer that grants temporary DEF equal to 50% of Max DEF on the grafted area only.]

"Heh, I guess this can still be useful after all" I sneered towards the dead queen.
I picked up some large enough pieces of the Centi-Queens carapace, enough to cover the holes on my wings and put them on top of the open hole.
It covered it perfectly, so I say-
"Graft" The Carapace entered my wings like it was a hot knife through butter....literally.
"Agggghhhh!!!!" The pain was unexpectedly excruciating, which made it mind-numbingly painful, until-
[
[
"Fooo~, gotta keep going" I grabbed another one of the plates and planted it on the underside of where I put the first graft.
"Ahaaahaaaa" This is gonna take a while

After a few minutes of painful grafting, I finally covered up all of the holes on my wings. Finally, this should completely heal them
—-------------------------------------------
[Pain Suppression (Tier II)]
Proficiency: 1% >>> 9%
[Dulls pain receptors by 50% to maintain performance during injury for 45 >>> 48 minutes.
(37 mins remaining)
—-------------------------------------------
"Haa, Lucoa, you can put a warning on the skills, right? See which ones are painful to use or not, maybe like a little note at the end, like in some of the skills I've seen, I remember reading that we can toggle with the system just a bit"
[Yes, that would be preferable for you, wouldn't it? Very well, I shall do so.....done]
This must be the skill responsible for why there were different colored carapaces to each and every one of the centipedes, speaking of centipedes, that reminds me-
I looked at the hole that these Patchwork Centipedes came from and realised I still had some unfinished business.
"Welp, time to commit my first Mass Infanticide"

After what seemed like a whole 2 minutes of quick walking, I finally arrived at their chambers. It smelled horrible, probably because they had some dead kaiju meat in one of their chambers.
I quickly made my way through the tunnels, which wasn't hard, since it was such a small colony.
I arrived at what I assumed was the nursery. There were hundreds of eggs placed in one corner, and in another corner was a massive bin of sorts; it was more like the semi-flat floor was carved down to make a botched bin of stone.
It was a massive bin, probably 10 meters in diameter, and inside it were numerous and plump but relatively tiny opaque centipedes crawling around, like those white beetle grubs but a bit longer.

Please leave a comment on what you think of the story so far, maybe leave a review, or perhaps even better, leave a powerstone or 2, whichever you prefer; it helps support the story by fueling my ego as an amateur writer lol, till next time.
