Well, it wasn't a total corpse, it was still alive, but was lying on its back to the ground, its body facing the sun. I could see that its chest was caved in, as well as some parts of its head and eye were badly damaged.
I looked at the map and saw that the swarm and the warbat corpse were still a few hundred meters away from where I currently am.
If i had to guess, probably somewhere between 150 and 200 meters, pretty far but caution is and always will be paramount. I didn't want it to shriek and alert its brethren when I'm killing it, so I slowly analyzed and moved towards it at the optimal place for a blind spot.

I crouched my way through its blind spot, making sure not to make a sound, with each careful step carrying me forward, I got close enough to see its busted eyes and finally--
'Chomp!!'
The injured Leafwing didn't know what happened until my mouth was on its head
*Crunch* and a barely audible sound of its neck getting crushed between my teeth sounded out

'Huh, a pretty hefty amount of xp, now then' I simply stared at the new corspe in front of me, of my own making
I contemplated on wether i should just eat this now or carry it to my lair.
I looked to the sky and thought that since it was still daytime, I should just carry it, and so I continued on to the next marker.

After what felt like a long time, I finally managed to get to all of my markers and in total collected 3 other bodies of the blue Leafwings.
If I were being an idiot, things would've been over a lot quicker in terms of the task and my life, but since i listened to the [Danger Sense] skill warnings, I'm still alive and kicking.
I carried 2 with my mouth, grabbing them from their relatively long necks while the last one was on my back, with my wings serving like raised arms to hold the body so that I don't drop it.
Once I was a bit far from the swarm, only then did I attempt to fly, the two on my mouth were now carried by my limbs for ease of flight and one on the front, I flapped my wings with intense fervor before reaching the "front yard" of my home.
"Gaaahhhh, that was exhausting" I slumped to the rocky surface, my wings felt like they were burning. I had to let my wings rest flat on the ground.
The climb flying up felt more taxing than the life and death fight I had earlier

I rested for a few minutes before dragging the 3 corpses to my home
"Now then" Blue light illuminated in my mouth holding the plasma within.
"Let's get cooking" and I let it go
I only used it for a little bit since my Shot reserves were getting a bit low, mostly from the Centi-babies.
After a few seconds, it was now palatable.
"Itadakimasu" the inner otaku in me gesticulates
*Squelch* *Crunch* *crack*
Crunchy, mostly from its bones, extra calcium for me then.
Since Dragons in media are related to lizards, this means that they are giant reptiles, and reptiles, at least in my hobby, needs calcium supplements in the form of a powder that weirdly looked like cocaine, even more so since I bought them in those tiny ziplock packets online, it was cheaper for me that way.
I finished eating the first Electro-Leafwing, still no skill acquired.
And so I started eating the next one.

So she says, but a notifaction pops up, which interrupts her
