While the battle between Fairy Tail and Grimoire heart were going on, the council's ship was moving towards the elusive Tenrou island. The island's existence was known to the Ishgar council, but records of its location were erased from the annals of history by the first master of Fairy Tail herself. And to show respect to her, the council and the king of that era decided to grant her wish of making sure that her homeland is protected from prying eyes.
Lahar had some misgivings about breaking that tradition due to the orders by a few members of the current council. But he decided to follow it due to the plan proposed by Doranbolt. As long as Doranbolt manages to get some dirt on the guild, they can reason any action they took as a step to stop one of the most dangerous guilds in Ishgar itself.
That was the plan of course.
That is; until Doranbolt teleported on to the ship and delivered everything that happened in the island including his approximation of Karna Vermillion's true power.
Lahar felt himself swallowing in fear. The council had decided to rank Karna's power as in the middle rank of the ten wizard saints. But Doranbolt's report stated otherwise.
"Maybe he might be using some artifact or something. Doranbolt the level you spoke of is something that wizards barely reach after training for multiple decades. Even the youngest was fifty years before they reached that level" Lahar tried to rationalize Doranbolt's claim, but the next second he kneeled to the ground.
'This….aura..' he thought as he saw Doranbolt in a similar condition. The entire crew of the council's ship had fallen to the ground with some even frothing in their mouth.
The members of both the guilds also paused their fight as they sensed the aura that was spreading from the Grimoire heart ship. But unlike what happened in the council's ship, all of them were able to withstand the knockback of the aura, but even then they had a bit of difficulty in moving compared to before.
"Damn, that guy's a monster right now, I don't think even Gildarts had this much power" Gray muttered as he continued the fight the grunts.
'Master' Azuma wondered in his mind as he was unable to differentiate the intensity between the two auras. He now understood that his master's decision to strengthen himself months ago was actually the right choice. Even now while fighting titania, he understood that if his master had not trained to strengthen him beforehand, he would have lost even more easily.
At the same time at another part of the Island.
"These familiar Aura, its unmistakable" Zeref muttered as he woke up from sensing that intense aura.
He was able to see that it surpassed the generals he had back in the Alvarez kingdom.
"Precht and Karna" Zeref muttered as he remembered the man he taught once while he met Mavis a long time ago.
"Is fate so cruel to make them fight each other" he muttered sadly, but then curiosity set in "But for them to fight in this island, does this mean that this island is special in some way. I thought of staying here because it was abandoned, so I guess I should leave" Zeref muttered as he began walking.
But while moving, he was able to sense the presence of multiple individuals fighting throughout the island. He thought about using teleportation, but sensing the presence of spacial mages, he decided not to take the risk.
There might be a chance they might think of him as an enemy which will result in him being drawn into their battle.
As he was moving through the forests while avoiding the people present in the island, he unknowingly came across a tunnel. Sensing other people coming close, he decided to venture within the tunnel to hide, not knowing that this route will lead him to relive some of his saddest memories.
At the same time, in the Grimoire heart ship.
He immediately used teleportation to escape while firing another arrow filled with explosive elemental combinations. Hades stepped back while removing his eyepatch, he then created a hulking demon construct that got destroyed by the arrow. But it left Hades spotless in the end.
'He's stronger than in cannon, and that too by a lot' Silva thought as he remembered cannon Hades only using hundred of this runic attacks.
Let's first explain the complication of the Amaterasu runic spell. It requires the usage of a large number of multiple types of elemental magic. You can build it with just one elemental affinity, but it takes a hell lot of more magic and time.
You actually saw this being done by Jose's guild at the beginning of Fairy Tail where the entire guild tried to channel four different elements from four S class wizards to power their attack. But as the four members were knocked out, the slower the magic formation became until it completely stopped.
The runic spells works in two different ways. Number one, it gives out an energy blast that is excruciatingly painful to the person that gets struck by it. And number two, it has the ability to take away the same amount of magic that is missing from the victim's ethernano stores.
Basically, if a wizard has hundred points of magic and loses ten points before being struck by the spell, he will lose another ten points. That's why Jose did not start attacking with Amaterasu when fighting with Fairy tail and decided to use Jupiter cannon first. Plus, he also made sure that all his enemies were tired after expending magic to fight the wraiths that he created.
If Amaterasu strikes after a wizard loses more that sixty percent of their magic, the resulting backlash will have a large chance of killing them.
This is why Hades kept on spamming this spell along with his chains. Both those spells are more than enough to handle almost all kinds of battles as long as you are skilled enough to be away from your opponents.
Plus, you might ask the question of why other wizards don't use this spell. Answer is simple. First the different elemental affinities, and if they can solve it, then comes magical energy inputted in it.
The giant spell used by Jose will only come close to Hades stacking ten of his spells. And the number of people who can come close to using it like Hades instantly in a fight cannot fill even one hand. And that is when only one spell circle is taken into account.
For others to use the stacking method that Hades uses. That's extremely hard as Karna had never heard anyone use that spell in that way in all his years of investigation.
A/N- hope you like it. Sorry for the info dump on the single spell, but I felt it was needed slightly as the spell was actually very versatile in the original series and I just created an explanation for it.
