Karna kept on dodging each of the Amaterasu circles shot towards him while simultaneously using his archery as well as his death shadows to attack Precht right now.
Precht at the time used his chains to position himself away from every single arrow that was shot towards him. He had completely removed the eyepatch by now and was spamming demon constructs continuously.
Karna now found out that his death element is weak against the creatures created by Hades. They are not technically alive, they can be considered as golems that run on magic power, so the best his death element can do is slow them down and destroy them slowly. But Karna's magic had enough power to make sure that the constructs does not get an upper hand.
Right now, both of them were in a sort of a stalemate. Karna can't go close enough to attack Hades with black flash as the closer he got, the easily he will get trapped in an Amaterasu attack. Plus, the time it takes him to cover himself with armor will only take a few seconds. But against a master of magic like Hades, those few seconds are more than enough for Karna to get hit with a strong blow which might put him on a backpedal in the fight.
Plus, Karna knew that the armour will not help much in this battle as it may be fast, but the congested insides of the ship is not enough space for him for maneuvering during such intense battle were even a single bit of distraction is enough for the opponent to land a killing blow.
But even with all that difficulty, Karna was not at all feeling the pressure. In fact, to a normal person who is able to witness this battle at high speed, Karna's wide smile is the thing that will draw all their attention.
Yes, instead of being discouraged by the battle, Karna was elated at finally having a battle where he does not have to hold back in any manner. Every other important battle he participated in had a restriction from the system which made him hold back a major part of his power.
But right now, he can go full force without any worry. The only thing that was holding him back was the skills of his enemy, which was making him push and break past the limits that he currently has.
Hades began laughing as he realised what was happening.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!, YOU GODDAMN BRAT, YOU ARE A FAIRY TAIL WIZARD THROUGH AND THROUGH" he screamed out loud in excitement at the fight where he was putting his all just to survive.
He imagined what would have happened if he had fought Karna without improving himself and realised that he would have lost within seconds.
'Its embarrassing, knowing that I came this far in the path of true magic and is still unable to match a junior of mine. But at the same time, I am proud, proud to see that a child of Mavis reach the highest levels a wizard can reach while using archery as his main form of attack.
To think he will reach this far with archery that is almost non-existent when it comes to having predecessors from which he can learn from. I wonder what would have happened if he had learned a magic that had already been researched completely' Hades wondered as he increased the output of the magic he was using.
He can feel the devil's heart straining his entire body, he knew he won't be able to battle for long as his aging body will not be able to handle the output of etherion flowing through it.
But his pride did not allow him to lose in a battle of attrition. To stop a battle as magnificent such as this because he cannot hold on.
Over his dead body.
If he is ending this battle, he is going to end it on his own terms. Hades screamed in his mind.
He immediately jumped backwards, creating distance between the two of them, raising Karna's eyebrows.
"My boy you are exceptional. But I am sorry to say I won't be able to hold on for long. I am going to put my all in the next attack, if you can survive that, I can accept defeat. Are you ready for this old man's selfish request?" Hades asked, to which Karna jumped down from the platform he was standing on and stood in front of Hades. He then formed the Incursio armor around him.
"Give me your best shot" he shouted which earned another wide grin from Hades.
Hades pulled in all of the aura he was emitting while he was fighting just before. He said he was going to put his all in the next attack, and that is exactly what he is about to do.
Karna prepared himself to face the onslaught of the attack Hades was about to throw on him. He had no doubt that it will surpass anything he had faced while taking in the entire thunder place, so he prepared by creating a layer of death energy over his armour. He then kept on adding magic slowly, increasing the density of the layer without increasing the size. It was something he had never done before, but he had no choice.
Hades saw what Karna was doing and smiled realising that his junior was taking it seriously.
He was creating a simple attack, the first attack type magic he had learned from Zeref. The finger pistol.
It may sound funny, but it was actually a masterpiece of magic that can used by people of any level. The power of the shot is depended upon the energy channelled into the gun and it can increase as long as the mage who was using it was durable enough to focus the amount of energy in their finger.
Using more magic than the wizard can handle can end with the wizard losing his finger at a minimum to a maximum of his hand. But Hades had no need to concern himself with that at all.
