Chapter 166 - Chapter 166 Human

"...No comment." After a long silence, Odin finally said something. But even then, that was more than enough for Kousuke to understand the unsaid words behind it. If the All-Father says that he didn't know, Kousuke wouldn't think much of it.

But the fact that it took the old man strangely long to answer him, and that raised a strong suspicion. It was clear the God of Wisdom knew something, yet he couldn't tell him. That much is obvious, which could only means one thing, something is stopping him from telling the truth.

If Odin hadn't lied to him beforehand, it could have something to do with fate. As someone who could predict the future, maybe it comes with a risk. Such as, he couldn't tell anyone about it—or the person at the center of it must not know what future had prepared for him. It could be one of them, or maybe both.

"Alright, next question then. Did Biblical God truly die on Earth? Like, has someone seen the corpse?" Kousuke shrugged it off and asks another question plaguing his mind. While other appears rather shocked at his abrupt question, Odin narrowed his eye. 'He is more sharp than he looks.'

After all, most people already knows that the Biblical God are dead. But no one had even be able to provide the ultimate proof, except for the fact that Heaven's System are barely working thanks to Michael's efforts in keeping it running as best as he could. From how the history goes, Biblical God isn't the type to remained quiet for so long. However, He had disappeared after sealing Trihexa. No one had even been able to find Him no matter how far they looked.

Thus, Kousuke had a feeling that Odin might have some clues about it.

"Isn't that obvious? Otherwise Heaven won't shut the door and keep to themselves, Biblical God had made a lot of enemies after all." Brynhildr muttered thoughtlessly. Even Rossweisse had to agree with her sister, she was still a trainee during the Great War but she had heard how chaotic the bigger picture was at the time. Biblical God was strong, He wasn't afraid of causing trouble wherever He goes. One could even say, no individual could match Him at His prime. That was why the catholic could spread their religion far and wide, no one could stopped them.

"It's not about his death that I cares about, but where He dies." Kousuke vocally mentioned the important part of his suspicion with a lower tone. "Don't you think it's weird that no one has claimed that they found His corpse? It's THAT Biblical God, it should worth something."

"...That's true," Rossweisse mumbles. It might came off as heresy, but the divine body of God, especially that of Biblical God. If anyone got their hands on it, they could possibly gain Heaven's divine authority. Yet no one with such power had come forward for so many years. Either they're laying low and preparing, or no one like that ever exist to begin with.

"You must know something about this, don't you? Come on, be honest old man." Kousuke said. And again, he noticed Odin reacted almost the same way he did towards the question related to Trihexa—keeping his silence.

"..."

"Alright then, keep your secret." He muttered with a helpless smile. It might not seem much, but that reaction alone gives Kousuke a little understanding of the bigger picture. There's at least one thing he is very certain about, it all had something to do with himself. 'I guess my preparation since I returns weren't completely useless then,' the paranoid Hero thought internally.

Kousuke wasn't the type to let the peace dull his fangs, instead, it makes him becomes even more cautious. He never once stopped improving himself, not even in his sleep. The experiences he went through in Otherworld had truly engraved itself deep into his very soul. To become unstoppable is to be the master of his own fate and destiny—that had always been his ultimate goal, no matter it be the Earth or Otherworld.

Morgan might have noticed something's off about him, which was why she also hadn't stop looking into Trihexa. She might have pulled a little trick to make him sign the marriage paper, but in the end, her feeling for him is very much genuine. That means she is very much trying her best to fulfill her role and duty as his legitimate wife, that is her own way of showering him with love without being upfront about it. She might 'kill' him if he mentions it in front of her, but Morgan can be a bit tsundere at times.

"Well now that I knows you can't tell me the important stuff, let's talk about something else then."

It can't be helped, he knew from the beginning that he wouldn't get the answers he wanted. He might not have the ability to predict the future, but the power he acquired from destroying the Demon God allowed him to ascertain some things by reading through the flow of fate. It wasn't as precise as seeing the future, but better than nothing.

Kousuke knew he was no longer a human, Odin's reaction to seeing his soul further confirmed his suspicion. That's why he allows such a thing to begin with, it's all part of his plan.

"Can I... use my Sacred Gear to turn myself human again?" He asked with a somber tone. For a moment, there was a flicker of hope in his pupils. Everyone aside from the All-Father were confused by his question. After all, he is a human to their eyes. Even Valerie who had the authority over soul couldn't see through him, much less them.

"...That is a rather difficult question." Odin said while rubbing his well-groomed beard. The All-Father could feels countless crimson eyes boring into him, awaiting eager—rather, desperately for his answer. The being before him is an irregular, something born out of the impossible odds.

"I'm sorry but that road had long closed down for you."

"I see... Can't say I'm surprise," Kousuke muttered with a sigh. He leans back into his chair and briefly tightening his fingers around Tsubaki's. His chaotic thought gradually calmed down. 'I can't go back huh? Then, I'll just have to accept my current self and continue living as I am. Being human is overrated anyway.'
