Chapter 167 - Chapter 167 Thor

The meeting with Odin was rather uneventful at first glance. It might looks like he didn't get much, but that's not the case at all. First of all, he could now rest easy instead of needlessly pinning his hope on the impossible. His essence might no longer be that of human, but it doesn't affect him whatsoever. At the end of the day, he is still Igarashi Kousuke. The highschooler who loves anime as much as Issei loves tits, the Hero who had once saved Otherworld. His mindset had changed for the better.

Though Kousuke couldn't help but recalled the words the All-Father said before he left the World Tree.

"With the power you have now, what kind of future do you envision yourself?"

Future—that one word seems to resonates deeply within him for some reasons. During his time in Otherworld, he could only think of surviving for the day. After the kingdom who summoned him was destroyed, Kousuke had been forced to go through survival mode. He could barely converse with people because he hadn't completely learned the Otherworld's language at the time. It was the harshest year of his life, it took a while to get used to it.

"I don't usually think about it, but if I have to say... maybe spending a quiet life surrounded by my love ones? Doesn't that sounds quite fulfilling?"

That was his answer to Odin. He even pulled Tsubaki closer to him by her waist, her blushing from embarrassment at the public display of skinship were rather an adorable sight. Kousuke didn't know whether the All-Father was convinced with his bland answer, but the latter didn't stop him from leaving so he considered it satisfactory. Rossweisse wanted to follow as well, but Odin held her back with the excuse of giving the lovebird some space for their date. The single valkyrie looks like she really want to be elsewhere, but Kousuke pretends he didn't know her.

"It's like visiting an ancient city, except people are still living here," Tsubaki muttered, her arm wrapped around his. They are currently strolling around the city within Asgard, admiring the beauty of the well-designed historical landscape. Though they would also be stopped by the street stall to grab some quick bite of a rare meat called Orcus. A pig-like humanoid creature that lives in a dark cave, they were usually alone, so it was easy for the Valhalla soldiers to hunt them down for food. It honestly doesn't taste as good as a real pig, but the texture was rather interesting.

Of course he paid everything in gold since paper money were useless to them. When it comes to wealth, he had plenty of gold coins collected from his journey in Otherworld. He could easily becomes a billionaire in one night if he pawn them off, but Kousuke wasn't that dumb. Aside from ruining the value of gold, the government might even send some people to take him to a dark room for the interrogation. Though it's likely impossible for them, that still didn't change the fact that it'll be annoying to him.

"Though why do they keep looking at us? I mean I know we're like foreigners to them, but it shouldn't warrant this kind of attention, no?" Tsubaki whisper to his ears. She was right, it almost feels like the stare weren't merely out of curiosity. Before he could think further, he abruptly crashed onto a tall figure. Normally, he wouldn't ran into people because he always keep some short distance. However, it's a different story when the person walking in front of him suddenly turned around and stopped.

Kousuke was just going to shrug it off and continue the date, however when he looks up, the Asgardian before him looks rather familiar. Not just the appearance, but also the vibe—everything screams off déjà vu. He didn't think much at first, but when the All-Father crossed in his mind, he tried putting them side by side. 'Aha, I was just wondering about it.'

"Are you the guest invited by Father?" His voice were low yet charismatic. His appearance fits the very stereotype of Valhalla warrior, muscular build equipped with height as tall as giant. The Asgardian before them is none other than the God of Thunder, Thor.

"Yes, and you are Thor, right? Pleasure to meet the man of legend. Then, this must be the legendary hammer huh?" Kousuke said, crouching down and casually inspecting the mythical hammer in the Godkin's hand up close like a young boy seeing his favourite toy at a store. He wasn't disappointed when he finds the worthy shenanigans runes embedded within it. "What a fascinating hammer, it could channel electricity much better than anything I ever seen before. As expected of glorified lightning rod."

"This is no lightning rod, it is my partner in battle! It had accompanied through bloods and wars!" Thor said with a thunderous voice, as if finding his choice of words slightly offensive. Kousuke could've shown the God of Thunder one of his proudest weapons that easily dwarfed the Hammer, but in the end, he simply smiles as he stood up.

"So, is there any reason you interrupted our date? Surely you aren't asking for a spar right?" He knew the answer to his question were rather obvious, but Kousuke ended up asking anyway. In a way, he prefers someone who are upfront about what they wanted, than those who plotted behind the scene like lizard people.

"That's right! I've heard from Father you were the one who had put my brother, Loki into a slumber for the first time in years! That means you should've some strength to back you up!" Thor said unabashedly, sparks begins emitting around his body as if influenced by his thirst for battle.

Kousuke shook his head, wondering just why people like him seems to just popped up everywhere. In Otherworld, there was the Royal Knight Captain. The latter just enjoyed beating him as a form of physical training. It does in fact makes him more resilient, but the pain that he had to go through to gain it weren't worth it at all.

"Alright then, do you have any place for the spar? Like a Colosseum or something?" He asked while brushing the dirt off his pants. Kousuke didn't want to spend too much time in this, so he wanted to end it up quickly and continue on with his date. He already knew how much strength he will have to use by referencing to the God of War, Ares. It should be good enough that he won't accidentally kills another Odin's children unnecessarily.

"Of course! Valhalla soldiers always keep up with the training every single day! The space there is wide enough for our spar!"
