Infinite Crisis, its sudden appearance shocked the world, especially the gamers across the globe. The trailer hadn't shown much but at the same time, it revealed the absolute confident this new company called Mythos Entertainment have in their product. They especially emphasized the huge freedom given to the players right from the very beginning alongside a glimpse of countless different races flashing across the screen. From the tidbits they gathered in the trailer, online influencers concluded it was a single player game with the option of multiplayers. The graphic art style seems to go into the route of realistic, which some seems to love it while others hates it to their bones.
However a few sharp journalists noticed that there wasn't any mention of which platform will the game be released on. They checked the website and even the description of the trailer video, yet they didn't find exactly what they were looking for. Then a few days later, one news outlet released an article, revealing the game company had patented some kind of new technology called Simulation Drive Capsule, or SDC for short. There was rumors going around that it was a never before seen tech that shocked even the Patent Agency, hearsay claimed it would brings about a new era.
None of the common people have heard of this company before, but from some journalists investigations, they found out that it used to be a jewelry store that had been growing insanely quick in a matter of few months, marking their place deep amongst the wealthy people at the top. It wasn't just that their jewelry are all top-notch, but also appears to have some magical effect on the wearer.
A certain middle-aged CEO was interviewed and said he had never had any problems with his stamina after he bought a beautiful silver necklace from Mythos Atelier. But when someone else tried to worn it, the interviewer himself, yet nothing happened to him so they concluded it was a placebo effect. Because of that, these baseless rumors was thrown out of windows and instead, the journalists focus on the company CEO, a young but full of ambition, Amano Mei.
Her background was shocking to say the least. She used to work as assistant to a growing business CEO, but was later fired for seemingly no reasons. As they digs deeper, they found the truth. She was harassed at work as her Boss wanted to use his position to get her to do what he wants, but she obviously refuses his advanced. When the articles about it was published, that same CEO wanted to sue the journalists for defamation but was struck unexpectedly by Amano herself, she had issued a legal action against him for his past deeds.
He thought he could bribe his way out of the lawsuits, but she was well prepared. He was caught off guard when she brought all of his past victims who had fallen under his clutch and had been silenced with money up until that day. With them becoming her testimony evidence against him, the judge immediately ruled for him to be jailed for 40 years with no bail. That marks the end of that CEO and his business career.
Meanwhile, Amano Mei has only grows further into her career. She was even published in a magazine as the youngest successful CEO of century.
And that CEO is currently nervously gnawing at her fingernails while sitting inside the waiting room after getting her makeup done. When her phone suddenly rang, she almost jumped off her seat until she saw the caller name on the screen and took a deep breath before answering.
"Hey, mind telling me why am I here again?" She asked, her voice filled with slight hint of anxious. Mei heard his chuckle from the end of the line as he speaks.
"That's because you wanted to be the one to demonstrate my product to the world, I told you before that you could've just task someone else for the job and sit back but you wouldn't listen," Kousuke said while calmly sitting on a couch surrounded by Morgan and Seele on each side. They were currently in Morgan's place since his parents were at home and he wouldn't want to disturb them, nor do he plan to inform that about his business. He had decided to only reveal it to them until he graduated from high school.
Now that the new year eve has arrived, it was finally time for his capsule to debut in the market. He already got the patented for it, but that didn't mean he didn't put any safeguard against reverse engineering.
"How could I rest easy knowing they might ruin the demonstration and destroy everything we've build together?! Sigh, it's fine, I knew this was coming miles away, but it's just hard to believe that we already reached this point." Mei muttered, the anxiety in her heart eased as she gradually accepted her circumstance. Yet she couldn't help but ask him again. "Are you sure the tech is ready? I won't run into any problem during the demonstration right?"
"Relax, Sis Mei~ Have some confident in the company's product, do I ever disappointed you? If you're this nervous during the demonstration, the problem won't be on the capsule but you."
"Ugh... Just thinking people all across the world will be tuning on the channel I'll be appearing is making my stomach grumble in protest. Don't you have any of those magic tricks that can makes this easier for me?" She said in an almost defeats tone, noticing the clock on the wall quickly closing in to the due time. She could hear the host of the show introducing the company's history and dive a little into her background as well. It wouldn't be long before the staff comes to get her.
"My CEO is so demanding, but alright, I don't want you to faint on the stage, so take a look into your handbag, there should be gold earrings that would go neatly with your dress." He responded mysteriously.
"...Huh? Do I have something like tha—wait a minute, how do you know I'm wearing a dress right now?" When Mei checked into her handbag, she was surprised to finds the earrings Kousuke speaks of. She doesn't remember putting a jewellery into her handbag, but she withhold her disbelief for now and asks him the important question.
"Don't worry about it. Oh? looks like they're showing the trailer of our game right now, seems like you're running out of time. Well, good luck and makes me proud~"
Before she could continue, he ended the call and simultaneously there was knocking on the door. Mei had no choice but to put on the earrings with the help of the huge mirror in the room before heading out and following the staff to the stage.
On the way there, she could feels her surrounding growing still as her mind getting sharp. She took in every little details around her, that includes the staff's nervous breathing. Mei immediately noticed something different about her, she was no longer nervous and instead, seems unusually calm and could think clear as day. 'Must be his magic tricks again,' she thought in her mind as a wry smile temporarily surfaces on her face before turning serious.
"And now, we introduced you all to the youngest CEO with bright future and huge ambitions, Amano Mei!"
