Seeing the positive reactions on the internet, Kousuke was strangely stoked. After all, they were praising his creation, but there are also quite few not so beautiful comments, such as calling him an alien of all things. Sure, the capsule might looks something out of sci-fi but magic made everything possible. This world laws of physics is just that easy to be charm. Soon, they will be thanking him for granting this chance to them, but for now, he can safely ignores those discontented crowd and focus more on his girlfriends.
More specifically, Akeno pressing him about the easter eggs mentioned in the demonstration as requested by her otaku friend, of course that friend being Rias. Kousuke could've told them but why ruin the surprise? Let them experience the real game themselves, so he didn't budge. Akeno wasn't that insistent about it so they were only playing around inside Occult Research Club room. He had also noticed some greedy folks from the government trying to pressure his company about the capsule, but he wasn't worried since they wouldn't dare to make a move so boldly. To him, this sort of feuds is just a little entertaining.
And just yesterday, he was woken up by the alarm he had planted inside the complicated diagram on the capsule stored in the warehouse. It seems someone had infiltrated secretly and tried to pried open his tech, but was instead hit with a powerful inescapable illusion directly to their soul, unbeknownst to them. In their perspectives, they must have successfully figured out how the capsule works and were on their way back to report to their client, until they reappeared in the same location and doing the exact same thing again, this repeat continuously with them having zero awareness the entire sequence.
When the guard later comes to check on the warehouse, they will find the culprit sleeping comfortably beside the capsule. Of course all of it was recorded by the capsule, Kousuke made sure he wouldn't missed such a fun episode. Since then, there are few other attempts but whoever hired them must've realized the futility of their action as Kousuke stopped receiving further notifications. He was a little disappointed, if there were a little more he could have made a compilation of the entire event.
"They are not completely foolish huh?" Akeno said, giggling as he recounted everything to her. Just like Mei, she also thought some others might tried to reverse engineered his tech. Of course it was impossible for average people who had no knowledge of supernatural world to notice it was magic at work, but it's different story if they asked someone on the other side.
"Their client must have some sharp sense, cause I almost caught their tail had they continued," Kousuke replied calmly. He had been actively following those caught by the guards, but the trails came to a halt abruptly as if they vanished from the world. He had his guesses, maybe they open up a portal to Dimensional Gap, that would explained why his mark on them couldn't be sense either.
"A shame, eh? I guess I'm a little curious as well, it should be someone in the supernatural, could it be the Old Satan Faction? Maybe they finally realized Seele is with you?" She voiced out her well reasoned thought. Though his diagram might looks like amalgamation of runes, she considered there could be few people out there who may have special abilities that could analyze it. And if that happens, they would learn the connection between the capsule and the link to the soul is quite close. After all, there is no other way for someone to gain new power without directly accessing to their soul, that's what Kousuke learned from Seele.
But if they could dive even deeper into the diagram, they might even finds the backdoor to his Imaginary Space. Yes, the 'virtual world' had been moved to his Sacred Gear. He had realized his power and Seele's makes for an unbeatable duo, their combination gives nasty results as far as his research goes. Kousuke wasn't afraid of his enemy infiltrating into his space, in fact, he looks forward to it. The moment they thinks they figure out his secret, they won't be able to leave even if they wanted to.
"I hope so, I still wanted to teach those guys a lesson accordingly to her treatment," Kousuke muttered with a slight coldness in his tone. He couldn't forget how she looked when he found her, Valerie looks thin and haggard as if they barely feed her anything at all. They didn't want her to have any hope of escaping, thus weakening her. She was still a child in his views, so such acts was astonishingly evil that rightfully deserves some punishment on that level, if not worse. He never plan going easy on them from the beginning.
"I'm sure that day will come," she said, resting her head on his shoulder as her hand tightened around his, which slightly calmed his nerve. He returns her gesture by bringing her hand up to his lips. Kousuke couldn't help but gets somewhat emotional with how far he had comes. Just a year before, he was so focused on survival over anything. If he dropped his guard even a little, he feared it would cost him his life. That was just how on the edge he was in Otherworld.
But look at him now, he can relax and no one will come for his life. And if his strength weren't enough, unlikely as it sounds, he still had Ophis, one of the strongest beings in this world making a home in his Sacred Gear. She was pretty chill most of the time, only asking him for snacks and pizza occasionally when she was feeling hungry. Sometimes, she even went into his 'virtual world' and just fly through the sky in her dragon form, which leaves a mark to the residents as they gives her the name Tiamat, the Guardian Dragon God of Terra.
