The sky thundered as rain poured heavily from it. Emilia's cheeks were wet with tears, the pain she felt that day came back to her, it felt all to real. She didn't care what camilla had to say. She didn't want to hear her sleazy apology because if she had died, who would she apologize to.
she didn't feel bad about loosing a friend. all her life she's been surrounded with two faced people who were only nice to her because of her dad's wealth. She already knew the feeling of bretrayal.
"Please I need you to listen to me one last time and I promise you will never see me again" Camilla begged taking one step closer. "Whatever you have to say, you say it from there" Emilia said pointing the knife in her direction.
"Okay" Camilla said stopping on her tracks "your life is in danger here you need to leave this school"
Emilia kept her gaze on her, she wasn't surprised or frightened by the information. being the only human in a school for supernatural beings, she atleast knew that much and it was painfully confirmed at the bonfire.
seeing she wasn't flinching camilla continued "I'm sure you want to know who asked me to drug you". Hearing this she flinched raising her eyes to Camilla's battered face. she indeed wanted to know who wanted her dead so she could atleast find out who she's runnning away from.
"It is Andria, Bruce's rumored potential mate" Camilla said, Emilia furrowed her brows. She didn't have business with the girl only ever hearing her name in passing, why exactly does she want her dead? "I know you're confused on why she wants you dead—i was to when she threatened to tear off my wings if I don't obey her instructions" Camilla said looking away in guilt her hand clutching the other.
Emilia parted her lips wanting to say something but she closed it. She knew what exactly this was, she guessed bullying weren't limited to human schools, still, that doesn't erase the pain of her internal organs squeezing within her until she couldn't keep the blood inside her body, bleeding through her eyes, nose, mouth and ears.
"i wanted to know the reason she wanted to hurt you but—she wouldn't tell me. I could only guess it was jealousy" Camilla added.
Emilia looked puzzled, jealousy? what was she so jealous of? she had literally nothing, no powers nothing special about her. "i was confused too but if I were to guess its because he brought you lunch and then dragged you away from class in the open hallways" Camilla said, so what?, that wasn't enough to want to beat me to death, Emilia thought, if she was afraid her 'potential mate' would leave her. Why not go to him, why her?
"Bruce is the next alpha to the moonclan...your clan. he's not just an ordinary werewolf. I heard that his strength rivals those at the very top and there was even a prophecy that he will rule over all the realms...."
That still didn't explain why she wanted her dead, Emilia kept her hand up steady she didn't dare lower it even for a second, even though it was starting to ache. "....he doesn't entertain women. Every woman who tried to get close to him intending to win his favour or heart had either their head or heart ripped out of their body so when everyone saw the warmth and tenderness he treated you with—it's only obvious they will be jealous" Camilla said shifting on her feet.
Emilia had no idea that everyone in this academy were going bonkers. Warmth? Tenderness? recalling how he almost choked her to death, she could hardly believe there was any form of tenderness in that hold.
lost in her thought she hadn't noticed the glint in Camilla's eye change. Charging towards her fiercely, by the time she noticed she saw Camilla walk through the knife in her hand letting it pierce her stomach, blood poured out but it she didn't seem to care. her hands stretched out to grab her by the neck.
"they told me I will have my freedom back if I brought your lifeless body to them. A little stab wound won't hurt" Camilla said blood dripping down her mouth pushing herself deeper into the wound trying to get a hold of Emilia who was frozen in shock.
"But this definitely will" Damien stood behind her, grabbing the unsuspecting Camilla. sinking his teeth into her neck. Camilla tried to fight Damien off but it was futile. he held strongly his teeth buried deep inside her skin until she went limp. Feeling she was dead he let her go, dropping her dead body on the ground.
watching everything that just happened Emilia dropped the bloody knife on the floor pushing herself to the far end of her bed, as if moving as far away from him as she could would make him disappear.
Damien wiped the blood from the corner of his lips with a handkerchief gently like he just ate a nice meal "Angels tastes better than this. Her blood was contaminated—disgusting" he said pursng his lips, he just ate spoilt food. That did not make him happy at all. Turning his attention to the terrified girl at the corner of her bed, he smiled "shouldn't you thank me for saving your life again?...now you really owe your life to me" he said kicking Camilla's dead body to the side "she was going to die from the poison anyways".
Emilia folded her legs to her stomach, wrapping her arms around them. she always read about vampires feeding from their prey but she didn't think it was as horrifying as this. her eyes stayed fixed on the dead body. she was alive a few seconds ago.
Tears streamed down Emilia's face uncontrollably scared that she was going to be next to get sucked dry she raised her gaze, looking at Damien standing with a grin on his face. It didn't help that the room was completely dark making him look more like a demon, or maybe he was a demon she thought to herself.
Walking towards her bed Damien sighed "you had to turn off the lamp. Don't you know this place is creepy with how dark it is, if you aren't scared i am" he complained like he didn't just suck the life out of someone, turning on the modern lamp he sat down on her bed making himself comfortable. he turned his face to her a gleeful smile on his lips.
Emilia shivered eyes widened in fear. the dim light casted a shadow on his face and his dark shadow stretched to the ceiling. "Isn't that much better?" he asked
