Chapter 28 - Ch 28: 1,000 Eternal Points

Aiden and Lucy entered the Golden Star Restaurant to have a meal. Aiden was a bit light-headed from hunger as he was walking.

According to Lucy and Chris, this was the most luxurious hotel not only in Riverside City, but also in the entire Green Wood Region, and it was also the most expensive place around.

"Sir, how can I help you?"

As Aiden and Lucy stepped through the door, a tall, fair-skinned attendant approached them. She greeted Aiden warmly and was about to extend the same courtesy to Lucy, but her expression shifted the moment her eyes landed on her.

The attendant hesitated, as if about to speak, but Lucy quickly shook her head and cast a brief glance at Aiden. The attendant seemed to understand the unspoken message and, with a professional demeanor, redirected her attention solely to Aiden.

Lucy let out a quiet sigh of relief at this subtle exchange.

Meanwhile, Aiden, oblivious to what had just occurred, was too preoccupied with his hunger and his eagerness to eat.

"We are here to eat!" Aiden answered.

"Please come with me, sir, ma'am." The attendant gestured.

Aiden had expected the attendant to lead him straight into the restaurant, but to his surprise, she guided him to the front desk instead. There, she leaned in and spoke softly to the receptionist.

The receptionist's gaze shifted from Aiden to Lucy, and a flicker of curiosity passed through her eyes. She then asked politely, "Sir, do you have a membership card?"

The front desk wasn't run by just one person. This was the most luxurious hotel in all of Riverside City. A team of receptionists stood behind the counter. Each of them were strikingly beautiful, with fair skin and long legs. They were exuding an air of professionalism.

"No, I don't," Aiden replied plainly.

"Sir, I apologize, but our food is of the highest quality. We also dispose of any uneaten food at the end of the day to ensure freshness. Because of this, our prices are significantly higher than those found elsewhere. Without a member card, a deposit will be required before you can dine." The receptionist's expression softened slightly as she explained.

"How can I get a member card?" Aiden again asked.

"Sir, there are three types of membership cards available. The first is an ordinary member card that would enable you to dine in our restaurant. It costs a hundred thousand Credits only."

"The second one is the Premium Card that will enable you to dine in all our branches in the Green Wood Region. It will cost you a million Credits."

"The last one is a VIP Card that will enable you to dine in every branch of our Golden Star Restaurant wherever you go. At the same time, you can get up to 30% discount. It will cost you 10 Million Credits."

When Aiden heard this, his eyes lit up.

What he wanted the most right now was to spend credits, and it seems that he could now spend a lot of credits here.

Before they came, Lucy and Chris had already told him about the Golden Star Restaurant. It was a high-end restaurant, and its branches could be found in almost every big city in the whole world.

Aiden immediately made up mind to buy a VIP Membership Card. Just as he opened his mouth, he was interrupted by Lucy, who said: "Aiden, there is no need for you to buy any card. I have one with me. Let's go and enjoy our food without delay."

She wanted Aiden to know that she was not a miser and could afford to spend money.

However, how could Aiden let such a great opportunity slip away?

There was no way he would let Lucy spend her money when he could cover the cost himself and earn Eternal Points in return.

Shaking his head, he smiled and said: "Miss Lucy, please don't. I have enough money, and since I'm here, how could I let a girl spend?"

Then he looked at the receptionist and said: "I'll have one then... VIP one!"

"S-Sir, I beg your pardon? I didn't hear you clearly just now!" The receptionist asked with a slight stammer.

"I said I'll buy the VIP membership card!"

"Sir, are you sure?"

As she said, she glanced at Lucy and saw her gesturing something. She understood what to do.

"I am sure."

"Sir, please wait a moment. Since you are buying a VIP card, our manager will personally come."

Then, the receptionist immediately called someone using her OL Bracelet: "Ms. Elisia, are you around? Can you please come to the lobby?"

Soon, a beautiful woman in her mid-twenties walked over while donning a black suit.

This beautiful woman clearly seemed a rank higher than the rest of the receptionists no matter how Aiden looked at her. It was no wonder she was the manager.

"What's the matter?" The beautiful manager walked to the front desk and asked.

The receptionist from earlier whispered into the manager's ear.

"Sir, may I ask if you really want to buy a VIP card?" The beautiful manager asked Aiden to confirm. She completely ignored Lucy and did not even look at her.

"Yes," answered Aiden.

The beautiful manager looked at Aiden again before starting to operate the computer at the front desk as she asked. Well, this was a computer just in name, in reality, it was just a screen floating in mid-air.

"Alright, sir, please confirm whether the amount is correct. Then, click confirm and place OL Bracelet here to pay."

The beautiful manager turned the computer to Aiden to let him look at the amount.

Aiden looked at it and confirmed that it was 10 million. Then, he clicked confirm and placed his OL Bracelet on the scanner.

Three seconds later…

A machine at the front desk rang.

"Payment successful…"

"Successfully received 10 million credits."

In that second, the six to seven tall receptionists, including the manager and Lucy, took in sharp breaths.

Although it might sound like 10 million credits must be nothing for a big family like the Wellings Family, in reality, even the Wellings Family could not afford to waste 10 million credits just like that. It was a huge amount of money.

The moment Aiden spent 10 million credits; he immediately heard the System's prompt next.

[Detected that the host has sent 10 million credits, you have obtained 1,000 Eternal Points!]

Aiden was overjoyed when he heard this prompt. Now, as long as he wanted, he could easily raise his cultivation to the level of a Blue Spirit Star Warrior.

Elisia Wilson had been a lobby manager in this restaurant for more than five years. She had seen a lot of rich people and she had also seen a lot of them with a net worth of hundreds of millions to more than a billion credits. After all, the people who could enter this place would at least be worth something.

In her eyes, Aiden was very young and since he could afford to spend so much money just like that, he must definitely be the son of an aristocratic family.

To be honest, when she first saw Aiden, Elisia looked down on him. The clothes on his body were very simple. There were so many people like that on the street.

When the front desk said that Aiden wanted to buy the VIP membership card, she thought that Aiden had to be there to pull a prank on them.

However, when she heard that Lucy was accompanying Aiden and that she gestured at them not to say anything about her, she guessed that Aiden must be a very important person.

It is just that she has no idea why Lucy wants to see Aiden spend money.

After the membership was done, Aiden and Lucy were brought into a luxurious private room.

"Mr. Aiden, this is the best private room in our hotel. We will bring you the food soon. This is my name card, so please call me if there's anything you need my help with. I will provide you with the best service."

After Elisia said that she handed her personal name card to Aiden. On her personal name card, there was no number to call, there was OL Bracelet's id. Through this id, he could communicate with her.

Aiden nodded and accepted Elisia's name card.

As he did, Elisia's fair and delicate hand seemed to 'accidentally' brush against the back of his, sending a faint shiver down his spine.

'What soft hands,' Aiden mused silently as a fleeting thought crossed his mind.

Moments later, the table was brimming with an array of delicious food.

The finest dishes from across the Green Wood Region filled the table. It was an impressive spread of every kind of cuisine imaginable. Aiden quickly noticed that many of the dishes were made from the meat of demonic beasts.

Each dish was visually stunning and smelled irresistibly appetizing.

As Aiden sat across from Lucy, a genuine, contented smile spread across his face. Food was more than just nourishment to him; it was a source of joy. With the variety of dishes before him, this moment brought him the greatest happiness he had felt since his mother's death.
