Chapter 32 - Ch 32: A Huge Network

Aiden was stunned, but he soon noticed aside from him no one else reacted. It was as if they were used to it.

This was the truth.

Marcus explained and Aiden soon understood everything.

It turned out that every red light appears from the card only when the participant is a First-tier Star Warrior. When the participant is a Blue Spirit Star Warrior, a very deep blue light would appear. Different colors represent different stages of cultivation.

The light serves as proof of one's identity as a participant in the Hidden Dragon Competition. When the competition begins, the light will automatically activate at the checkpoint, granting the individual access to the competition stage.

"Alright, you can leave now."

The old man waved his hand. Yusuf walked down the stage happily. His strength was neither high nor low.

"Next."

Immediately, a young girl walked up from below. She was seventeen or eighteen years old. Her face was round, and her eyes were blinking, shining brightly. She was a beauty.

At this moment, many people's eyes were fixed on her. She seemed to be burning with passion. Not only was this young girl beautiful, but she also had a very high talent. At such a young age, she was already at a Level 7 First-tier Star Warrior. She was truly extraordinary.

"Hello, elder. My name is Asla, Asla White."

A sweet voice sounded, making many people's eyes burn even more. It had to be said that beauties were popular wherever they went.

Very quickly, Asla went through the same process as Yusuf and walked off the stage.

"The young people this year are not bad. For example, among the people who came from Clearwater City yesterday, there was a very strong person. He was a Level 9 First-tier Star Warrior, and he wasn't any weaker than the geniuses of Green Star City."

"There are still more than two months left until the Hidden Dragon Competition begins. The possibility of him breaking through to Blue Spirit Stage is very high."

"That's right."

A Level 9 First-tier Star Warrior?

This shocked many people gathered there when they heard the elders talking about this. Only those monstrous geniuses possess this kind of powerful strength.

"Not just Clearwater City, but geniuses from other cities have also showcased impressive talent this time. For instance, while Blue Leaf City may not have any Level 9 First-tier Star Warriors, they still managed to produce three Level 7 First-tier Star Warriors. Their strength is definitely not to be underestimated."

"Speaking of the last Hidden Dragon Competition three years ago, there was someone from Red Cloud City who stood out. He was a Blue Spirit Star Warrior at just nineteen years old. That was truly astonishing."

"Indeed! But you know what's even more surprising? Despite his incredible strength, he didn't win the championship. The title went to another extraordinary genius who outshone him greatly."

"Look, someone has gone up again. This person's strength is not bad. He is a Level 8 First-tier Star Warrior."

Under everyone's gaze, a young man in blood-red clothes walked out. When everyone saw him walk out, they started discussing.

"He seems to be from the Red Cloud City as well."

"That's right, he is indeed from the Red Cloud City. He is Carlos Delvig from the Delvig Family."

"With Carlos participating, Red Cloud City will once again solidify its reputation. It seems the Delvig Family will gain tremendous prestige from this Hidden Dragon Competition."

Listening to the discussion of the crowd, Carlos was very satisfied. His face lit up with pride. He puffed out his chest even more, his demeanor exuding arrogance, as if he regarded everyone else as beneath him.

The elderly registrar, who had been noting down the participants' names, smiled faintly and threw the square-shaped card at Carlos. Immediately, Carlos watched as a vivid red light erupted from the card. The glow was far brighter and lasted significantly longer than what had been seen with others, clearly marking him as someone whose strength was on another level.

Everyone's faces were filled with jealousy.

Why wasn't Carlos born in their family? Compared to Carlos, the young people in their family were simply trash. No, they couldn't even be called trash.

The people of Delvig Family and Red Cloud City gathered in the crowd had proud expressions on their faces. With Carlos around, they would definitely obtain excellent results in the Hidden Dragon Competition this time.

Carlos walked off the stage under everyone's envious gaze. When they saw him come down, the surrounding Red Cloud City youths immediately surrounded him, as if they were the stars surrounding the moon.

Soon, it was Aiden's turn.

"Next."

When everyone saw Aiden walk up, they curiously sized him up.

"Who is he?"

"I don't know, I've never seen or heard of anyone like him before?"

"Is it surprising? The Light Wind Empire is very big. How can we possibly know everyone?"

Aiden heard everyone and silently shook his head. He ignored them and arrived in front of the old man, saying: "My name is Aiden Wilder."

The old man also sized up Aiden. When he sensed Aiden's strength, his eyes lit up. But it is not just because of Aiden's strength, it is also because of his age. The old man could tell that Aiden was just 16 years old.

A sixteen-year-old Level 1 First-tier Star Warrior, such people are truly very rare to come by.

Other people's eyes also lit up. Aiden was one of the most talented individuals present here currently. It seems this time's competition will be very intense.

"Which City and family?" The old man asked.

Aiden was stunned for a few seconds before shaking his head, saying: "Just Aiden Wilder!"

The old man again raised his head and took a deep look at Aiden. Then he nodded and did something on the screen. The next moment, Aiden felt his OL Bracelet buzzing.

Aiden didn't hesitate to check it. A message appeared in front of his eyes. It was the proof of registration.

"Here you go!"

After the registration was completed, the old man casually threw the square-shaped card at Aiden as well and did not care about him anymore.

A red light flashed that targeted Aiden's body before disappearing inside him.

Aiden was stunned for a moment. He could feel a special energy silently sitting inside his body. It was not harmful, but its existence didn't make him comfortable as well.

For some reason, he wanted to get rid of this energy instinctively. He had a feeling that this red energy was not a good thing.

However, he resisted the urge to force this energy out of his body and let it stay inside him for the time being.

His action doesn't mean he would let the energy stay inside him forever. He was determined to get rid of it immediately upon sensing anything suspicious about it.

What Aiden was unaware of was that the moment the red energy seeped into his body, an unseen bond formed between him and an enormous network spanning the entire sky of the Light Wind Empire. This network resembled a vast spider web, with countless threads branching out in all directions. These threads linked millions of geniuses scattered across the empire, creating an intricate system of connections.

Detecting this network was almost impossible even for Glorious Gold Star Warriors.

Being able to sense something is wrong with red energy was already very marvelous for Aiden.

Looking at Aiden coming, Marcus nodded his head and a smile bloomed on his face. He muttered inwardly, "Now, he is ready to go to the Ten Thousand Abyss City and help Chris!"

It seems he had a different plan for Aiden in mind.

Marcus brought Aiden to a hotel. This was where he was planning to stay for two days. He had already booked two presidential suites.

Both of them entered Marcus's luxurious suite. Aiden settled into a comfortable chair, patiently waiting for Marcus to speak. On the way, he had already sensed that Marcus had something important to discuss, but he couldn't quite figure out what it might be. With no choice but to wait, he remained silent.

Marcus didn't keep him in suspense for long. Leaning forward slightly, he said, "The Hidden Dragon Competition is set to begin two months from now in Ten Thousand Abyss City. Are you prepared to make the journey there?"

"Ten Thousand Abyss City?" Aiden frowned upon hearing the name. Simultaneously, the Dragon Pearl within him stirred once again. The sensation it created was identical to the one he experienced when it led him to the Twin Mountain Forest. At that time, he had felt an irresistible pull, as if the pearl was guiding him toward something very important.

'It seems like this city is the place the Dragon Pearl intended to bring me all along,' Aiden thought to himself, his mind racing with possibilities. Suddenly, as if he guessed something remarkable, he immediately raised his head. Staring at Marcus curiously, he asked, "Uncle Marcus, is Ten Thousand Abyss City located on the other side of the Twin Mountain Forest?"

"That's right!" Marcus nodded in agreement. His agreement confirmed Aiden's guess.
