"Finally! Someone! Someone made it out alive! I can finally get out of here!"
A girl's voice startled Ren so much that he almost dropped the Platinum Chest he was holding. He had looked around earlier when he reached the shore, and he was sure—absolutely sure—there was no one else here. The chamber was empty. Silent. Dead.
But now a voice echoed clearly through the room.
Ren squinted, scanning the area once more. No figures. No movement. No one.
"Up here!"
Ren reflexively lifted his gaze—and froze.
A girl was floating in midair.
She had long, dark hair drifting like mist around her, and her equally dark eyes stared at him with a mixture of desperation and excitement. Her skin was deathly pale, almost luminescent against the yellow glow of the room. She wasn't solid, either. Ren could see the wall faintly through her body.
One look was enough to confirm it.
She was a ghost.
A ghost wearing… a maid outfit?
