Ren froze mid-step. His mouth fell open as his brain struggled to process what he just saw—and heard.
He blinked once. Twice.
Did that really just happen?
Leonel and… Isolde?
The scene replayed in his mind like a broken record: Leonel leaning close, Isolde smiling, their eyes soft, and that—no mistake about it—kiss.
His brain did a mad scramble trying to understand what the hell was going on.
How?
When?
Where?
Those three words looped like an error message in his head.
Now that he thought about it, the signs were there. From the very beginning, Leonel and Isolde had good chemistry. Every time Leonel opened his mouth, Isolde's name came up. Every time Isolde mentioned something about her plans, Leonel was already there, ready to help.
Isolde even loaned Leonel money before. And they went to the same school. The more Ren thought about it, the more it all made sense.
Still… why so fast? And why hadn't Leonel told him?
