Leonel, meanwhile, was trying very hard to chew, swallow, and breathe at the same time. His spoon trembled like it was about to take flight. The food in his mouth tasted amazing, but his body was shaking too much to enjoy it. His heartbeat thundered like a drum in a rock concert.
