"Hm." Tom interrupted, his voice lower this time.
"What?" Anna replied, still standing close to him, her arms loosely wrapped around herself as if she didn't want to let go of the moment.
"Tell me…" he said slowly, eyes flicking toward the window where the night glow hinted at a rising moon. "Tonight is a full moon… do you think—"
At that, something in Anna shifted.
Her expression changed instantly.
She remembered Chairman Yang's words.
And just like that, she stepped back.
"What?" Tom frowned, confused by the sudden distance.
"Nothing!" Anna said too quickly, shaking her head.
But Tom wasn't convinced.
He took a step forward instead.
"You're blushing," he said, a small smirk tugging at his lips.
"I am NOT," Anna snapped, immediately covering her face with her hands in embarrassment.
Tom let out a soft laugh.
"You were all soft and sweet a few minutes ago… and now?" he tilted his head. "Are you playing with my emotions?"
