Anna was surprised.
She held her breath as Tom's arm stayed firmly around her. For a moment, she tried to pull away again—but his grip didn't loosen.
"Just relax…" he murmured, firm, almost like a command.
But instead of panicking, Anna went still.
Then… she smiled.
Because she knew.
He was teasing her.
Slowly, she rolled her eyes and turned slightly in his arms. Before he could react, she reached for his hand and intertwined her fingers with his.
Tom blinked.
That caught him off guard.
Anna noticed immediately.
"Oh?" she whispered, voice light. "Are you nervous now?"
Tom scoffed under his breath, regaining his composure. "Mmm. Why? You don't like it?"
Anna tilted her head, studying him for a second—then suddenly leaned closer.
"Let's see how long you can handle this," she said softly.
