"I'm not entirely sure that you're correct," Saico replied, tilting his head slightly as he looked at Simione with unwavering intensity.
"Whatever," Simione dismissed him. She had somehow expected him to deny everything and honestly didn't want to deal with him once he did. Right then and there, she decided she would rather leave entirely and cut whatever ties she still had with Saico. "I do not want to be friends with you anymore."
"Simione, I'm telling the truth…" Saico insisted, quickly stepping in front of her to stop her from leaving. "Look, uhmmm… I don't really know how you came up with that idea, but I did not come to this school because of you. I might have intentionally befriended you, but, uhm… I have other reasons for being here."
"Saico, do you realize that I am the Monsanto Madam?" Simione reminded him calmly, subtly implying that she had all the resources she needed to uncover the truth if she truly wanted all of it. "I know for a fact that you went looking for me."
