An atheist scientist suddenly found himself embroiled in a smear campaign after proving a theory that could fundamentally alter our understanding of the world.
The proof of this theory seriously threatened the interests of powerful groups around the globe: the energy sector and the religious establishment.
But he didn't give up. Driven by a thirst for revenge, he searched the world until he found a very special book.
Ten years later, he exacted his revenge.
He publicly released the technology that could make energy free for everyone, changing the paradigm of society. He then personally infiltrated a meeting of the religious group's high command, immolating himself and destroying the group's headquarters in Boot Nation, plunging their religion into chaos by making public secret documents of the world's most influential faith.
His only regret was not being able to drag those energy capitalists down with him, along with the hypocritical saints who now screamed around him.
As bursts of a dark substance tore through his body, he clutched the book to his chest—the book that had helped him exact his revenge—with a smile and simply uttered a thank you.
To his surprise, as he closed his eyes to plunge into the eternal abyss, his vision filled with infinite lights of infinite colors. When he opened his eyes, he found himself in a place that was both unknown and familiar.
But the most surprising thing wasn't that he was still alive, but that his body had changed.
