Chapter 3 - Everybody Lie 3

Katan. The entrance door of the house closed softly.

House smiled thinking about teasing his friend from this life.

Analyzing the memories he has in this life while his consciousness was asleep, House did not know how to think about himself.

Now House, as an atheist, was able to confirm the existence of the soul!

And with this confirmation, he can conclude that the majority of people already carry pre-recorded characteristics and attributes in their soul from before being born.

House in this life is literally a loner. If he were from the country of Neon he would surely be a -Hikikomori-!

The character of House is that of a grumpy old egocentric with a high self-esteem that can easily be used as a ladder to reach the international space station.

Why is the moon not there? Because at least he has a little self-recognition and only believes himself a little god. Just a little!

He can conclude that all his bad mood after being persecuted and vilified in his previous life he brought to this world.

But at least he did not bring only the bad, his intelligence is there, although somewhat sealed.

Somehow House was born with the desire for the unknown. His main goal was to study physics, but some past events made his path change and he ended up entering medical school.

It is not bad, being a doctor is good. But instead of going through the path of medicine until reaching heights of advanced research he only stagnated in being a diagnostician, although he prides himself on being the best in the world.

"BAH! You are useless!" House said to himself in front of the mirror.

After Wilson left, House returned to the bathroom and threw the towel aside. He had no choice but to acknowledge his body. He can do nothing.

But he did not feel happy knowing that a life of almost forty years went down the drain.

At least there is something good in the direction of this life. House has saved lives that others could not save. His years of study and struggle to discover a new source of energy that could give a new life to all humanity was born from his conscience of doing good and helping the next.

A characteristic that was also transmitted by his soul to his new life.

But House feels ashamed, in his previous life he was not like that, he was not so -mediocre- and his social skills were good. Okay, it changed after the persecution by forces and power groups but he should not become the cynical and selfish lonely man he is now...

Having only one friend, and calling him best friend when you only have one friend, is, failure in a sense!

"...But now you are missing, the police will investigate. This daughter who appeared suddenly is completely strange, there are no papers of this body that prove her existence..." House murmured in front of the mirror.

Bzzzzz - bizz - bizz - Bzzzzzz

"Eh? Book?

Since when are you a mobile phone to vibrate like that ~? jejeje okay okay tell me..."

The book on House's arm vibrated a few times to get attention, then opened by itself showing the previous page.

"No changing it, No fixing it, No Time, No Space, Form, Utility...

Do you want me to use the same -magic- as before on my body??

No, that is not it...."

Then, an idea shone in House's mind.

House closed his eyes and concentrated, his hands hugged the book on his chest, then, a scene appeared. A light covered the youthful feminine body of House from the soles of his feet to his highest golden strand on his head, then, in the light, House's figure grew a few centimeters and his muscle mass changed as well as the proportional dimensions of his limbs and trunk.

When the light disappeared House's figure was reflected in the bathroom vanity mirror. A middle-aged man with dark brown hair and blue eyes appeared before House's eyes in the mirror.

The man had some wrinkles on his face, incipient beard with clear signs of age gray hairs, a tired look in his eyes that now opened in the mirror.

"Great! My virile body has returned! Although it is not at its best moment but it can be enough.... It does not feel right..."

House felt his body with his large and wrinkled hands. The skin he felt on his palms and fingers is not correct, unlike feeling the rough skin of a man he felt the silky and delicate skin of a woman.

"This... It only changed the appearance and form but not the essence? No... My little brother can not be an illusion!"

House lowered his gaze and grabbed a piece of appendix that hung small and lifeless.

"Book! This does not help me at all!! It is just an illusion...

Eh? You do not know what illusion is... Well you do not know what a mobile phone is either...

It seems I have to have time to teach you you just woke up a consciousness..."

House looked at the book in his hand and patted the black cover softly.

"Uhnmm... It can work as long as I do not touch anyone..."

House returned his gaze to the mirror and murmured...

House felt that the energy he uses while in this illusory form is not much, it feels like walking without stopping and he can endure it for now.

"When I am alone I simply cancel this -magic- and that way I can save battery... For now, I think I should run to the hospital or Wilson will start doubting my answers"

Since he was in the bathroom House decided to take a quick shower, then ran to get dressed and while putting on his pants his right hand went to his leg.

"Uhnm? Habit, now the leg no longer has problems and the pain has disappeared, but I think it would be strange if someone saw my thigh and did not find the mark of the missing thigh...

I think while I am in this illusory form, I must pretend..."

House finished dressing and took a cane. Then he started walking toward the house door as he did according to his memories in the last five years.

"Now it seems that everything lived in this life seems to be an illusion and I have to usurp and pretend to be myself, Ha!"

House smiled with a grimace on his mouth. Any of his acquaintances who saw him now would not doubt House.

House left his house and closed the white door behind him. There is a wide hallway and a door on the other side with a number two hundred twenty-one A. Following his memory House walked toward the exit of the apartment building.

After leaving the main entrance of the building House went down some stairs calmly and looked at a taxi passing by on the street.

Fiuuu Fit! House placed his hand on his mouth and let out a strong whistle.

The taxi stopped its movement suddenly and House with the agility of someone with healthy legs reached the taxi quickly, opened the back door and entered.

"Princeton-Plainsboro University Hospital. Quick!"

With a screech of tires the yellow taxi accelerated.

In a short trip of between fifteen and twenty minutes, House had arrived at the hospital where he works.

The main entrance of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital stands imposing under the clear New Jersey sky. A wide rectangular canopy of glass and modern steel covers the access area, supported by thick concrete columns painted in a sand tone that contrast with the dark tinted glass panels reflecting the sun like black mirrors. Above the canopy, large blue raised letters form the full name: "Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital" next to the stylized logo of a P intertwined with a light blue medical serpent.

House felt nostalgia upon seeing the hospital entrance. The fusion of both memories has somewhat disrupted his temporal chronology. Just yesterday he left this hospital but today it feels as if a whole life had passed.

But now House has no time to appreciate the hospital architecture. House, limping while leaning on his cane, quickly entered the hospital pushing the large glass and aluminum door.

House quickly searched with his gaze for a direction among the transit of civilians and nurses walking in the hospital lobby and found his way.

Now he does not want to be seen by anyone known, so quickly and simulating a frown of pain he went quickly toward a wing of the hospital following some doors and hallways until finding the room he was looking for.

House approached a door with the words written -IT Department (Information Technology Department)-, pushed it gently peeked his head and found no one.

"The computer nerds as always do not arrive early to the hospital, I have to thank that. Good, I do not have so much time to waste...."

House quickly entered the room, there were computers and what seemed to be a server with flashing LED lights. He turned on what seemed to be the main computer and House leaving the cane aside sat in the chair and started typing on the keyboard.

"Ha! WinXP. It seems Cuddy wants to be at the forefront and updated the computers from Win ninety-five to XP. But of course, she does not want to pay for Mac servers or that would take all the hospital funding"

House's fingers seemed to dance on the keyboard his fingers flashed and the sound of the tecle tecle of the keys was heard at a rhythm.

"Easy~

The Great Country of the Dragon also wants to be at the technological forefront like Cuddy, it seems that since two thousand four they have launched a wide call for the registration of their citizens. Although their system is still very poor and has gaps in its firewall everywhere~

Besides, I have like fifty years of superior technology, today's networks are nothing to anyone who lives in the years of my old world much less to me who am a researcher of great prestige and knowledge.

I just need to enter here... Where did Ling say her hometown was? Yes... Uhnmm... The bone age of my body is eleven years, let's put the birth date in...

School records...

Flight record to America the day of...

..."

In a short time House had invented an identity for his youthful (her)self.
