"Unlike the Tyrants," he continued calmly, "this one is far less stable."
The giant humanoid beast took another heavy step forward while white vapor escaped from its mouth.

"I pushed the virus beyond its natural limits," Ramon explained. "Its body constantly struggles to maintain balance between my virus and Compound V."
Leon remained silent while carefully observing both Ramon and the creature at the same time.
Even with Compound V weakening his abilities, his mind remained calm and focused.
Analyzing.
Searching for weaknesses.
Ramon suddenly chuckled darkly.
"You're probably wondering why I'm telling you all of this."
Then slowly, the damaged side of his face twitched unnaturally.
"Because I want you to remember everything about the thing that kills you."
He slowly touched the ruined half of his face—the same side Leon destroyed years ago using Hell Hound.
Hatred filled Ramon's glowing eye instantly.
"I waited years for this moment, Leon."
His voice became colder.
"And today…"
He stared directly into Leon's eyes.
"…you finally pay for everything you did to me."
Ramon didn't waste another second.
He slowly stepped backward while looking toward the monstrous Tyrant and gave a simple order.
"Go."
His damaged face twisted into a cruel grin.
"Kill him for me."
The creature reacted instantly.
Boom!
The massive Tyrant lunged toward Leon with terrifying force, destroying the floor beneath its feet. Its gigantic claws opened wide before slashing directly toward Leon's chest.
Leon's sharp eyes immediately tracked the movement.
He dodged sideways instantly.

The claws tore through the air where Leon had stood only a second earlier.
Despite the monster's overwhelming strength and resistance against his abilities—
It still wasn't fast enough.

The Tyrant attacked again.

The giant creature continued smashing through pillars and metal flooring while trying to corner him, but Leon's reflexes remained superior even under the effects of Compound V.

He didn't look worried at all.

The Tyrant slowly stood back up.

Its glowing eyes locked onto Leon again while smoke rose from the damaged area around its heart.

"Why don't you look to your left?"
Leon's eyes narrowed immediately.

Emma.
She was chained high above the ground, hanging helplessly from heavy restraints.
And directly beneath her—
A massive pool of molten magma flowed violently below.
The unbearable heat distorted the surrounding air itself.
Leon immediately looked back toward Ramon.
"What are you planning?"
But before Ramon could answer—

The Tyrant attacked again.
Leon reacted instantly.
This time, he ignored the creature completely and rushed directly toward Emma.
Saving her came first.
Nothing else mattered.
The Tyrant was powerful, but slower than him.
Leon knew he could reach Emma before it caught him.
But just as he was about to get close—

A gunshot echoed throughout the hall.
Leon's body suddenly froze slightly.
His eyes widened.
Looking down slowly, he saw blood spreading from the right side of his stomach.
Leon immediately turned toward Ramon.
The mutated scientist stood there calmly holding a handgun.
A faint trail of smoke escaped from its barrel.
"…How?" Leon asked coldly.
Ramon smiled.
"Bullets infused with Compound V."
Leon clicked his tongue quietly.
The bullet had weakened the natural protection of his magma body enough to injure him slightly.
Luckily, the damage wasn't severe.
His magma physiology still absorbed most of the impact.
But even a small injury was enough to slow him down for a moment.
And that moment—
Was all Ramon needed.

Suddenly, the chain holding Emma snapped apart.
Emma's eyes widened in terror.
Her mouth was restrained, preventing her from screaming properly, but panic filled her expression instantly as she began falling directly toward the molten magma below.
Leon's eyes widened.
"Emma!"
He moved instantly.
But the moment he let his guard down—

The Tyrant's gigantic fist slammed directly onto Leon from above.
The impact was monstrous.
The reinforced floor exploded apart as Leon was smashed violently into the ground beneath the creature's fist.
A massive crater formed instantly.
Dust and debris erupted everywhere.
Leon coughed violently before trying to stand back up.
But the Tyrant didn't give him time.
Growling like a wild beast, it jumped directly toward the crater again.
Meanwhile—
Emma continued falling.
Then suddenly—
A red blur flashed through the air.
Before Emma could fall into the magma, a mysterious woman wearing red clothes suddenly appeared out of nowhere and caught her effortlessly with one arm.
In her other hand was a strange gun-like device.
Without hesitation, she fired it upward.
Thwip!
A steel wire shot toward the ceiling and attached itself instantly.
Using the momentum, both the woman and Emma swung rapidly across the hall away from the magma pool.
The mysterious woman released the device midair just before the wire snapped loose.
Both of them landed safely on solid ground nearby.
Leon's eyes widened slightly after seeing Emma safe.
Even Ramon looked genuinely surprised.
"…Who are you?" Ramon asked coldly.
The sudden appearance of the mysterious woman created the perfect opening Leon needed.
The Tyrant was still mid-attack, its gigantic claws descending toward the crater where Leon had been trapped moments earlier.
Leon's eyes sharpened instantly.
Without wasting a second—
His body partially transformed into magma before erupting upward violently.

The Tyrant's claws smashed into empty ground instead.
Leon appeared directly beside the creature's face, magma flowing wildly across his arm.

The impact sent the massive creature flying several meters away before it crashed violently through metal pillars and debris.

Then his eyes shifted toward the mysterious woman who had rescued Emma.

She wore a fitted red outfit designed for mobility, with short black hair framing her calm face. Even while standing in the middle of chaos, she looked completely composed.
The woman glanced toward Leon calmly before speaking.
"Hello."
She gave a small nod.
"My name is Ada Wong. CBI."
Leon narrowed his eyes slightly.
Ada casually pulled out an identification card from her pocket and briefly showed it to him.
"I was sent here after the government received reports about illegal human experimentation taking place in this facility," she explained calmly. "So I came to investigate."
Leon nodded slightly.
He still wasn't fully sure whether he trusted her or not.
But right now—
There were bigger problems.
"Are you alone?" Leon asked seriously. "Or do you have a squad nearby?"
Ada placed the ID card away calmly.
"I work alone," she replied simply.
Leon stared at her silently for a second.
Then sighed internally.
Of course she did.
Somehow, he always ended up surrounded by people who preferred handling dangerous situations alone.
Before Leon could say anything else—
Ramon's furious voice suddenly echoed throughout the hall.
"You!"
His glowing mutated eye locked onto Ada instantly.
"Who are you?!"
The twisted scientist's expression became filled with rage.
"How did you even get inside this facility?!"
Ada looked toward him calmly without showing fear.
"You are under arrest, Mr. Ramon."
For a brief moment—
Silence filled the chamber.
Then suddenly—
Ramon started laughing again.
"Hehehehahahahaha!"
The sound echoed like madness itself.
"Arrest?"
His laughter became louder.
"Do you really think this is over?!"
Then slowly—
Ramon spread his arms outward.
"Let me show you…"
The atmosphere instantly changed.

Leon's eyes narrowed immediately.
Tentacles suddenly burst out from Ramon's back.

Until six massive tentacles writhed violently behind him like monstrous limbs.
Ramon's body continued mutating grotesquely until he no longer resembled a human at all.
He transformed into a gigantic worm-like bio-organic monster towering above the hall itself.

The monstrous roar shook the entire facility violently.
Emma turned pale instantly.
Even Ada's calm expression hardened slightly after seeing Ramon's final form.
Leon slowly stepped forward.
His blue eyes remained cold despite the overwhelming situation.
Then he looked toward Ada and Emma.
"Ada."
Ada glanced toward him immediately.
"Take Emma and get out of here."
Leon's voice became colder.
"Leave both of them to me."

The Tyrant emerged from the rubble once again, crawling out before immediately locking its glowing eyes onto Leon.

Leon immediately understood.
The creature was adapting.
Seeing both monsters moving toward him simultaneously, Leon looked sharply toward Ada and Emma.
"Run!"
The temperature around his body began rising again.
"Go!"
Emma wanted to object immediately.
"Leon—!"
But Ada grabbed her arm firmly.
"We need to move," Ada said seriously.
Emma hesitated briefly before finally nodding reluctantly.
Both women immediately started running toward the exit corridor.
Leon watched them disappear into the darkness briefly before finally turning back toward Ramon and the Tyrant.
One gigantic bio-weapon.
One immortal mutant scientist.
And himself.
Alone.
The Tyrant growled while approaching rapidly from one side as Ramon's mutated body towered over the hall from the other.
Leon slowly rolled his shoulders once before magma began flowing violently around both his arms.
The floor beneath his feet slowly melted from the heat.
Then Leon lifted his head and stared directly at both monsters.
His cold blue eyes carried no fear.
Only determination.
"…Let's end this once and for all."
Now that Emma was finally safe, Leon no longer needed to hold himself back.
For the entire fight, part of his attention had remained focused on protecting her. Every attack, every movement, every decision had been restrained by the fear of accidentally putting her in danger.
But now—
Emma had escaped.
And with Chris and Jill somewhere inside the facility, Leon trusted they would protect her no matter what happened.
Which meant—
He could finally fight seriously.
Leon slowly lifted his head while magma erupted violently around both his arms.

Leon narrowed his eyes.

But the force itself still damaged the creature internally.
The Tyrant already carried heavy accumulated damage from the previous attacks.
Then suddenly—
ROOOAAARRR!!!
Ramon's gigantic worm-like form lunged toward Leon from the side.
One of the enormous tentacles whipped toward him at terrifying speed.
Leon had been fully focused on attacking the Tyrant and reacted a split second too late.

The tentacle slammed directly into him and launched him violently across the hall.
Leon crashed through a metal pillar before skidding across the ground.
"Tch…"
He immediately realized something.
Ramon's mutated body also carried Compound V within it.
Every direct hit weakened him further.
Leon slowly stood back up while magma flowed across his injured body, burning away parts of the Compound V invading his system.
His Devil Fruit powers were constantly trying to neutralize it.
But because both enemies continuously carried Compound V through their attacks—
His recovery was slowing down badly.
Ramon noticed it instantly.
The giant worm-like monster laughed mockingly.
"You're slowing down, Leon!"

He thrust both hands forward.

Its enormous body crashed through multiple support structures before slamming heavily into the ground.
Leon landed roughly afterward while breathing heavily.
Steam rose continuously from his body.
But he didn't stop moving.
Because the Tyrant was already charging again.

Another tentacle struck him directly from behind.
Leon was thrown violently across the hall once again.
His body crashed hard into the floor before sliding several meters.
The moment he stopped—
Another tentacle already descended toward him.
Leon's sharp instincts activated instantly.
He rolled sideways just before the attack smashed into the ground where he had been.
Boom!!!
The floor exploded apart.
Leon immediately jumped upward again while dodging multiple incoming tentacles one after another.
The giant worm roared furiously while trying to overwhelm him through sheer pressure.
But Leon kept moving.
Dodging.
Countering.
Adapting.
Then finally—
He saw another opening.
Leon suddenly accelerated forward through the barrage of tentacles before reaching Ramon's gigantic face once again.
Magma exploded violently around his entire arm.
The heat became unbearable.
Then Leon roared coldly—
"Hell Hound!"
