Chapter 156: THIRD POV.
She was standing with her arms crossed over her chest, a knowing, slightly amused expression on her face as she looked down at him.
"Get what exactly?" he asked her, blinking his eyes. "What's she so mad about? I'm just trying to keep us safe."
"I am not saying a single thing," Priscilla replied with a light chuckle, shaking her head from side to side. "I think it will be a whole lot better for you in the long run if you figure this one out completely by yourself."
To his absolute surprise, Priscilla also turned around and began walking ahead at a brisk pace, following the exact path Persephone had taken into the trees and leaving him standing completely alone next to the tied-up boat.
Jacob stared after the both of them with a bewildered gaze. He definitely didn't expect things to turn out like this, with his team splitting up and ignoring his orders before they even found a single footprint.
