"The both of you should head back to the village...." Jacob said softly, his voice dropping as he looked at the two sisters.
He knew how hard it was for them to hear this, especially after they had spent so many days searching the wide sea just to find him alive.
"What!" Persephone gasped, her eyes widening in instant shock.
"But we just found you!" Artria added right after, her blue fins flapping hard against the water in pure frustration.
Both sisters voiced their thoughts at the exact same time, their faces filled with a mix of disbelief and hurt.
They couldn't understand why he was pushing them away the very moment they had finally crossed paths again.
