For three days after Raven left the house, Missy barely slept.
A constant sense of unease followed her wherever she went, refusing to loosen its grip on her heart. Worse still, she couldn't reach Raven at all. Every call went unanswered, every message disappeared into silence, and the distance between them felt more unbearable with each passing hour.
"Madam, you need to rest," Rosie said worriedly as she found Missy sitting by the window in the reading room, staring absentmindedly at the gray sky outside.
Rosie walked over and gently touched her arm.
"Your body is still warm. You haven't fully recovered yet. Ever since Master left, you've been running a slight fever..."
Missy offered her a small smile.
"It's alright, Rosie. It's probably just because of the pregnancy."
Although she tried to sound reassuring, Rosie still looked unconvinced.
"I'll go rest now."
The moment those words left her mouth, visible relief appeared on Rosie's face.
