Vivian's POV
A part of Vivian had actually started to believe that help would never come. That their loved ones had not realized that anything was wrong so they were not looking for them.
They had been in the water for hours, the sun unforgiving and the waters never giving them a moment of rest. Through all of that Vivian had not shed a single tear. She had put on a brave face and had focused on one thing, survival.
Now as she watched the rescuer dropping down from the chopper flying above them, Vivian felt tears streaming down her face.
They had made it.
They were going to be alright. Looking to Ryan. She reached out and ran a shaky hand over his cheek and he turned his attention back to her.
Leaning in, the two of them met in a brief kiss, their chapped lips not making the contact pleasurable at all, but when they parted, both of them were smiling.
Help had finally arrived.
