Raya's POV.
I expected a dumbfounded look, a man who would be breathless, taken aback by my question, possibly puzzled. But the reaction I got was no different from a frat boy stoned from partying all night.
He glanced at my table, circling his eyes on my fingers. Then he looked up and pressed his lips.
Then he burst out laughing.
"What's funny?" I asked, making a disgusted face.
"Monsters, really? Are you trying to scare me?" He chuckled, hitting his palm on his thighs. "What are you going to ask me next? If ghosts exist?"
"You think this is a joke!" I snapped.
"Of course not, but let's be real, only babies believe in monsters." he replied, his voice confident. "Monsters don't exist, except you mean it metaphorically, and I believe we only make humans into the monsters we fear,"
"Wowwww!" I slowly sprung up to my feet. "You are… unbelievable. Are you this ignorant? You know I'm starting to see why Elara dumped your ass,"
