After placing the glass bottle down, Vincent Thornton walked out of the bedroom and ran right into Silas Thornton.
Vincent Thornton's eyes flickered, and he lowered his head guiltily. "Lord of the Wolves."
"Mm." Silas Thornton gave him a meaningful look and asked out of the blue, "You're aware you're bound by a contract not to harm Holly Wyatt, right?"
Vincent Thornton tensed up, his mouth suddenly dry. "I know."
Silas Thornton nodded slightly. He walked past him, glanced at the glass bottle in the bedroom, and warned, "The penalty for breaking the contract is complete annihilation of body and soul. Not much better than what happened to Chloe Thornton."
Vincent Thornton kept his head bowed, as if all the strength had been drained from his body. "I know."
As Vincent Thornton watched the gray house slippers walk away, he suddenly mustered more courage than he ever had in his life and said firmly, "Lord of the Wolves! I want to leave the manor."
